I received an ARC from the author ALLY ADAMS in exchange for an honest opinion. This is Mismousey's very honest opinion of "TEAM NIKLAS". Having not read anything written by this author before. Especially the other books in this DELICIOUS SERIES SAINT'S TEAM. ( I am now going to have to read the other 2 books that Ms. Ally has written in Saint's Team.) I did not know what to expect. Boy was I surprised!! And I do mean surprised -

Ms. Ally had me sold and hostage from the very first page. Picking up pen and taking it to paper she capture the essence of soccer and the players to the tee. The author is able to bring the character to life and describe them in the in such a way . The reader is able to visualize them right before your eyes. As for the scenes - they are magnificent! So well describe and detailed. The cover of the book- the blurb her teasers. Ms. Ally has created it to make the reader want - desire to read this delicious book.

Team Niklas is Book 3 in the Saint's Team series. In this book we met Niklas Wagner from Germany. He has come to America to play Soccer for the Saint's. It is Sasha Saxon job for them to put out information to the media ( newspapers-tv -etc.). An way- Sasha designs clothes at night in her home.

Now Niklas has a way with women- his accent is unbelievable( when reading this you can actually imagine hearing it) Now he has no family - but no one on the team knows this . He does not take No for answer.

Sasha is coming off of a bad marriage- however they are still friends. she wants to design cloths. Has s twin sister- but they don't look nothing each other.

Niklas wants to take Sasha out for dinner. She keeps saying no. Finally she agrees. They start getting to know each other. One night after several weeks of being together. While making love - Sasha notices burn marks on Niklas chest , They are like cig marks. When she ask him about them he shuts down.

This story has a lot of twist and turns in it. What happens between Sasha and Niklas? There is a problem that arises that makes Niklas want to leave. Does he? For all these answer and more . YOU NEED TO READ THE STORY!! MAKE SURE TO ADD THIS DELICIOUS HOT READ TO GOODREADS READING LIST!!

Ally Adams does red hot well. Her Saints men are steamy and stacked, her women strong. In “Team Niklas,” Sasha is sassy, stylish, talented and funny.

“… I was in so much lust and like, and maybe love, who knows but I hadn’t fallen in this deep for a long time. Come on in my heart was telling me, the water was just fine.”

“He waltzed in waring jeans, a black button down shirt and dress shoes; man this guy could dress himself. His eyes looked so blue and with his tan and blond hair, he was breathtaking. He didn’t speak, just picked me up, kicked the door closed with his foot and kisse me.

“It was one hell of a kiss. My feet still weren’t on the ground as his tongue slipped between my lips and I sucked on it, making him grown. He was hard, all over, …”

Loved the dialog between Sasha and her big German, Niklas “Kaiser” Wagner. The banter is lively, spirited and loaded with innuendo. This pair knows how to play the game, and really work the opposite sex, even if Sasha initially refused to enter the field. But who could blame her; she’s handed her divorce papers from her jerk of an ex early in the book, which leads to the second sticky situation Nik and Sasha find themselves in.

Sasha: “Once bitten, twice shy; once burnt, twice singed, I think I made that last one up but you get the picture.”

And boy do they have the luck! Twice while at Sasha’s home, or Sah-sha as he calls her when enunciating her name in his heavy German accent, he is injured. The first time he ends up with a bloody nose while changing out of the suit Sasha is tailoring for him and has to go to the hospital. Then, her jealous ex sucker punches him and literally runs, blacking his eye… in the same week. The hilarity continues to ensue from there when this electrically charged couple are within a stone’s throw of the other, so much that the team doc and higher level staff are convinced she’s a jinx to their Kaiser and warn her not to get too close again for fear he’ll end up maimed and unable to play.

Sasha, Sassy to her triplet brothers and her twin sister Saffron, wishes he’d listen, but he’s determined there’s something special between them and won’t take no for an answer. Until he sees her at a hotel bar holding another man’s hand that is. Too bad that man was her brother. And the other men with her were her BFF Max and his partner.

She finally gives in to the peer pressure from coworkers and siblings, and Nik’s persistence and agrees to see Nik. Despite craziness, Sasha can’t resist Nik, the big hunk.

“He was right on time — German precision — I like that, and by the time I got to the door I was so nervous it was insane. I don’t even get nervous presenting my media strategy to the board — I figure I know this stuff, they don’t, who give a fuck? But I could barely breathe when I opened the door to him.

But, he’s also a gentleman when he has to be. They’re quite a match, both honest to the point of bluntness… except each has things they’re used to keeping in, refusing to let others close enough to feel for them, much less show it.
But, once Nik decides he wants something, he’s all in. And boy is he. Meow! (Speaking of, he even charms her cat, Prada, who doesn’t like anyone.)

Of course, things between these two are charged with lots of hot sex and secrets neither wants to reveal. But, some things have a way of coming out, just as even the seemingly perfect relationship can be wrenched apart given proper provocation.

Nik’s past is an issue, much more than the bare fact that he was an orphan that he’s willing to share. The number Sasha’s ex did on her with his cheating, jealously, lying… have definitely left their mark — lots of yellow caution lights and neon flashing hazard indicators.

Despite it all, Nik instantly senses how great he and Sasha could be and isn’t willing to back off, unless there is indeed someone else — he won’t get in the way of someone else, even if he’ll hate it. Persistent and willing to trust only her, he has blinders, seeing only her, no longer noticing hot groupies and fans.
Sasha is so witty. Told from her perspective, I found myself snickering aloud more than once as pared with the best of the Saints “players,” even holding her own with the Russian.

Adams nailed the journalist:

“I wan’t big on my life being out there, that’s why I’m a journalist; I ask the questions not the other way around. But I didn’t want Nik to see that, I could feel the edginess coming off him in waves.”

Had the grin at this too:

“… he came over and gave me a kiss in front of everyone and I didn’t care. Can you believe it? Me neither! But then again, I always was a bit of an idiot when it came to love, just check out my ex-husband.”

So far, Team Niklas and Team Lucas are my favorites in the Saints team novels. I just love these soccer men. Sure hope the Russian gets his own book soon. Can’t get enough of that huge wall of a guy.

This was a easy, fun read.

This is the romance of Sasha and Niklas, she works as a journalist looking after an American champion soccer team during the day and designs clothes in her own time. He is the new team member, all the way from Germany with a big expensive two year contract to the Saints' club.

Sorry if I got any of that terminology wrong; it will be totally my fault not the authors, I am not a sports person and my romance reading is more often confined to the supernatural genera. Despite that, or perhaps because of it, I really enjoyed reading this story. The backdrop of a soccer club was new and interesting and the side characters (many of whom I think have been developed in other novels in the series) were intriguing. The characters of our leading Lady and Man were fresh and likable, I loved the intense flirting (though at times it got a bit too intense to be believable) and the development of the connection between Sasha and Niklas.

One kind of cute thing was how young I found the characters. Early twenties and so very serious about their lives, call me old and jaded (I'll answer) but I found them adorably intense. The one thing that I did not like about this novel was toward the end and it is a definite spoiler So, I do get that every romance novel apparently just has to have has a big dramatic thing to overcome toward the end of the book so that the couples can make up and be 'even stronger than before'. This seems like a standard for every romance, I just wasn't especially fond of this one.

Glad I got to read this one - Many thanks Helen, I would definitely read more in this this series and by this author if I came across them.

Team Niklas is the third book in this series and I really like the series. as I know that soccer is not that common in the US, it is fun to read about in this context.

We met Sasha in the last book, she is like Alice part of the Marketing Team and is fun to be around. as we learn in this book, she also had some serious relationship problems in the past, which make her not very trusting. nevertheless I liked her for most of the book, as she is her own person with quite a bit of personality

Nik, or "The Kaiser" as he is called by fans and fellow players, is from Germany and nobody knows a lot about him. but he and Sasha have serious chemistry, which he won't let her forget.

I really liked the way the relationship developed and except one instance, I thought it was very well done.

but - and I have to confess this is a big but - at the end I had some troubles with not only Sasha but the whole Team.

all in all, it was a good book and I think I liked it a bit better than the last one although Lucas is still my favorite I really want to continue this series.

Sasha is a good woman, always thinking about the comfort for Niklas, "instead of taking the ice, he took my hips. “You put it on,” he said , and pulled me closer. I guess it was the least I could do and he did look like he needed some tender lovin’ care." Nik cracks me up its always entertaining with him, “I think it is a Hugo Boss,” he said. “I had to wear it for a photo shoot, for a sponsor. I really liked it so I just got my manager to buy it.” Sometimes oversharing your thoughts with Nik is not the best idea, “Sah-sha, what the eff am I supposed to do with that information?” He exhaled. “Now I’m as hard as a rock and all the blood has rushed to my ***k.” I love this series the men are always sexy, and bossy and the women are always feisty and can put their men in their places.

I'm editing this review coz I discovered that the author Ally Adams liked it. I just want to offer her support with some more details of what i like with the book. :)

Character development was good with enough level for readers to feel connected to them and their emotions. The plot was quite common but Ally managed to spruce the story with quirky and genuine dialogues.

The whole book gave me a feel good vibe... love, with its ups and downs can be very rewarding when you finally fully embrace it :) It was enjoyable to the point that I am intrigued to check out the other books in the Saints Team series.

p/s: To Ally Adams, keep it up :)

Ally Adams knows how to spin a story. I just loved this one. Having adoptions all around me I got it. This was thoughtfully written. Sasha Saxon, 23, a media officer for the Saints a Santa Ana, California Pro Soccer team by day. But at night she is a clothing designer with her own clothing line she sells on the internet. She is in a good place in her life she has a great job in a field she loves. Giving her the means to do more with her designing because the staff and even the players come to her for things to have made or altered when it comes to their clothing.
This is where she starts to really get to know the team’s newest recruit Niklas Wagner, 23, from Berlin, Germany. He was recommended to her by her coworker Alice who happens to be Nik’s roommate and Tomas’, the team goalies’, girlfriend. Yeah, small circle of friends. They are tight.
The thing is not to many people know that much about Nik. Oh! Although Alice did over hear at a bar one time when the players were there after a game some soccer bunnies were there and one said Nik was a slow and sensitive lover. Not much to go on and since Sasha’s divorce was soon to be final. She would have to say that after almost a year and a half slow and sensitive would kill her right now.
Anyway the whole time Nik was over for his fitting all he could talk about was taking her out on Friday night for dinner. She said she would think about it, when she knew she would say no the whole time. Even when she wholeheartedly wanted to say, “YES!” Nik was tall 6’3’’, short blonde hair, blue eyes, and muscles for days. When checking his inseam was any indication “Oh Boy she was in TROUBLE.” When she told him to go change back into his street close no sooner did she start cleaning up did he call her in to help with something.
She thought it was him just trying to get her into bed so she was taking her time when he called out again, more urgently. She said yeah that she was coming. But the third time he called she knew something was off. She walks in to the room and he is as pale as a ghost. He has his hand to his face and there is blood everywhere. She gives him a towel holds his nose then he says he can do it but he still doesn’t look right so she goes and gets ice and calls the team doctor. When he gets there and checks him he sees he has low blood pressure and he hadn’t eaten. The next thing she knew the paramedics were taking him away. Doc said more than likely an overnight stay was in order.
The next morning she arrived to work with his suit that she altered, his tennis shoes, jeans, and shirt. Alice was there already and she was wondering what Sasha had done to her roommate? Sasha had to explain. Then Lucas and the Russian his teammates wanted to know why she had broken their teammate. Each time her and Nik were in each other presences things would go wrong. She thought they were jinxed. His crush for her was so big he wouldn’t take no for an answer.
See why this relationship with Sasha was so important to Nik and so scary to Sasha. The chemistry of the two characters is great and I love the banter of all the characters but the Russian is so funny in all the stories. I give this 5 stars. Provided by netgalley.com. ****************SPOILERS******** *

so far but a long shot these two are my favourite couple from the saints series.
I loved niklas despite the obvious he's unbelievably hot, has an accent he's also upfront about what's on his mind, he fights for what he wants and when he loves boy does he love ;).
although we don't really get much of his background until the end it don't stop you from loving the person he is, once finding out about his past you can't but feel for him but also admire that he made something of himself.

“You know why I came to the Saints?”Nik asked.
He didn’t wait for an answer. “I had six international offers, big offers, all the same. When I met with you, Luke, you said you wanted to play with the Saints because you were near your friends. The money wasn’t the main priority. You talked about the importance of club loyalty, sticking together, the club looking out for each other..."

I love that answer because it shows the type of person nik is, he wasn't hungry for the money (although it's nice) he wanted that sense of family, belonging.

sasha now I do love her, I loved her honesty the way she would so the most inappropriate things, I loved her sense of family, and how much she wants to do things for herself. a few times she did wind me up when it came to her ex and I did want to shake her, but she sorted it out quickly.
when she ran from nik at the end even though I felt as she did that omg she gave up easily I couldn't help but understand when she explained to him why she couldn't stick around if it was positive and although selfish most of it as it was her getting her she also looked at it, in a way I admired her.

“Shh, hear me out. This woman might have just been a one night stand, but you’re going to share something. If it is your child, you’re going to see her grow with your child and you’re going to be there when that child is born,—all the time the two of you sharing this experience. She’s beautiful, it is only natural you’ll be attracted to her throughout this.” He shook his head and I quietened him so I could finish. I continued, “You’ll wonder should you give the child a family—a normal life, should you both give it a try, and all the time I’ll be somewhere in the background, in your way.”
“No Sarsh, don’t do this.”He shook his head.
“You know deep down inside I’m right. And I love you Nik,”my voice broke as I said it, “but I can’t bear to think of you bringing a child into the world and sharing that experience with someone who is not me. If you already had kids that would be different, but this is an experience I’m not going to be part of. We need to separate until you sort it out, if you sort it out.”

she realised that nik wouldn't want his child to go through what he did and would want to try and make it work, which honestly deep down I don't think he would let sasha go but I think he would feel like it the right thing to do and she knows him well enough so far that the girl gets brownie points.

the storylines are not very deep I find these a light New adult romances, there's a whole lot of love and hotness just not any massive OMG storylines.

This review was first published on .{ ink.eaters }.

Oh my... what can I say?
I really, really liked [Team] Tomás, I really loved [Team] Lucas, and I... I... fuckin' adored [Team] Niklas! I feel like I should either be adding a sixth star to Team Niklas's rating, or steal one away from the other books in the series in order to make [Team] Niklas stand out more, because... man... this book wins! So pssssht, don't tell Lucas or even Tomás, but I think Nik's my favorite!

Team Niklas is the story of Niklas Wagner and Sasha Saxon of the Santa Ana Saints and will be playing on every octave of your emotional range. Dripping with innuendo, this novel not only made me swoon over yet another fictional soccer player (and I don't even like soccer!), but it also made me "awww" in adoration, growl in anger, gasp in surprise and all but shake in anticipation.

That being said, you're not only in for one emotional ride, but also for a story delivering very real characters that find themselves in very realistic situations. Both of the protagonists in this book, who have had cameos in the past novels in the series, are flawed, vulnerable, honest and no-bullshit direct. This doesn't only make it easy to connect with the characters and to put yourself in their shoes, but it also adds to how interesting and heartfelt their storyline is - a storyline, that isn't all beer and skittles, but bears deep scars and hosts conflict, without, however, being too much drama to be lifelike.

Nik is steaming hot, direct and fun.
Sasha is sassy, entertaining and voguish.
Together, they're a great team, stronger than separately, figuring out not only how to score in love, but also how to play the game of life.

Just like Ally Adams's other books in The Saints Series [Team Lucas, Team Tomás], Team Niklas highlights the importance of the people you surround yourself with and their support, emphasizing just how important it is that you and them all pull together, stick together, and stand up for one another. I absolutely love this author's writing, and cannot wait to see what she'll be sending our way next - personally, I hope it will be The Russian! Hint, hint !

While this is part of a series, you can absolutely read this (and the other books in the series) as standalones.

Team Niklas (Saints Team Series - Book #3) by Ally Adams

Even though this is book # 3 in the series, can be read as standalone. Ally’s writing style is good and interesting. Being that she is a new author to me, it left a good impression on me, not only that I want to start reading the two previous installments, but that I’ll be looking forward for future books. There is plenty of romance, drama, mistrust, betrayal, a mix of emotions that really make me enjoyed the story even though I didn’t love it, but I did like it a lot.

In Berlin, Germany, Niklas Wagner is a super star and when the Saints’ pay the big bucks to sign him up and bring him to Santa Ana, California, a new life awaited for him, as well as the woman that will still his heart. Nick character was easy to fall in love with, while in Sasha’s case was the appositive for me after she turned her back on Nik, but hey, who am I to interfere with Niklas feelings.

this is the first book that I have read from this author and I wasn't disappointed one bit. this is the third book in the set and I hadn’t read the others before starting this one but it didn't matter, I am defiantly going to go read the book before this one before. the story was good and well written with hot male characters as well as feisty women to move the story alone very well. this is a definitely a must read and I cant wait to go and read more in this series.

highly recommended

I was given a free copy of this book by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I loved this book! It was not as good as Team Lucas (book 1 of series) but better than Team Tomas (book 2).

This book played up to one of my favorite things, hot German soccer players. The relationship between Nik and Sasha was a good read. It played up to what a lot of people in real life deal with so it felt realistic to me.

My only downfall of the book was the slang didn't match the area the book took place. It was like British/Australian slang for a book who's two main characters were American and German.

But overall, great read for any soccer (sport) romance fan.

Ally Adams characters are always well developed and totally engaging.

Niklas is a sexy, pull no punches, fun guy who tugs at your heartstrings and brings new meaning to swoon-worthy.

Sasha is feisty, sassy and definitely well equipped to keep this soccer superstar on his toes.

The Saints Team has fast become one of my favourite sports orientated series and Ms Adams shows in every new story what a talented author she is with the depth and passion she instils in her couples.

Oh the Saints team, I need to find me a soccer player, they all seem quite wonderful and from all over the world. This book was about the German on the team, who I tried to picture speaking and acting and all I got was very blunt, quiet and private. But we got to see the very fashionable Sasha in this book too and the two of them was quite electric. They really did have quite the spark.

Sasha recently got out of a relationship so was very hesitant to move on so quickly but the Kaiser (Nik) was very persistent. Sometimes persistence really does pay off because he finally got her to go out on a date with her. The two of them are kind of different but the same, if that makes any sense. You get the sense that Sasha is very carefree, dances to her own beat and now tries to think before she acts, while Nik is very straight forward and when he wants something he goes full hardcore to get it.

The majority of the book was them trying to get to a relationship, the cat and mouse game until finally Sasha gives in. I was almost done with the book when I started wondering when things were going to go wrong because everything was just going too right for them between family and friends. Even the jinx they had in the beginning of someone always getting injured when they were together had disappeared, but you do get a bit of conflict close to the end and it’s really how you deal with it that matters. Let’s just say some people didn’t deal with it as they should have causing Nik more distress than necessary.

We learned a lot about Nik and why he is the way he is, it always leads to a hard upbringing. But it was very interesting finding out. Sasha too has a big family so in that they were opposite but they bought it all together the way it should have.

Overall the book was good, there were some great scenes. It was a little short and not as in depth as the first book, but I have to say I really, really hope there is another book about the Russian. Because he’s just too tall and adorable for me not to want to read about him. Great quick fun summer read and another view at all these beautiful men of the Saints team. You should definitely check this book out just to continue with the series because you do get some insight on some of the other men from the team.

ARC provided by Netgalley in exchange for a honest review.

Let me start off by saying that I really love this author and her work. The writing style is superb and she really knows how to draw you into a story to become invested with the characters.

Though I loved the Saints and all of the hotties on the team, especially the Russian, I just didn't feel a connection with Niklas and Sasha. I didn't feel that spark that made me want to watch them fall in love. Instead I just kind of wanted to get it over with. Don't get me wrong I am still a huge fan of Ms. Adams, but I just couldn't connect with Sasha. To me she was to selfish and cared more about fashion than anything else. I like a forward heroine but for some reason she rubbed me the wrong way. I know a lot of people are going to read this book and love her but she just didn't work for me.

I can however honestly say that I adored Niklas. His story was heartwrenching and made me really fall in love with him. I really did enjoy this series and can't wait for more of these compelling guys. Hopefully Russian's story will be up soon.

I've enjoyed the other 3 star reads in this series but this one was just 2 stars for me. It felt phoned-in for me. I enjoyed both the main characters. I enjoyed the storyline. What was very off for me was the major conflict in the end. It just wasn't realistic and very underdeveloped. What happened to the Dude was realistic but the reaction from the Chick was not and made no sense. As in the second book, the insta-love was rushed as well.

And like the other 2 books in the series, there were quite a few Australian words, terms and sentence structure despite having no Australian characters and taking place in California. So, just be prepared to overlook when reading. The author does a good job with the Dude's German accent so that was enjoyable.

Overall- I don't recommend unless you are reading for free as it's on Kindle Unlimited. I may read more from this author but not unless its a free read and I've not found anything else.

This is the 3rd book in the series. this series is easy to like. The books are easy to read and to follow. The characters are engaging and fun although a little immature at times. Sasha is very likable most of the book. She loss favor towards the end of the book when she didn't stand by her man when he needed her. Niklas is so sweet and lovable but he has secrets. There is nothing crazy but just something that happened in his past that makes him ashamed. I love how Sasha was patient with his issues. the only issue I have is the some of the language. the team is supposed to be in the US, the females are from the US, yet they sometimes use terms that are not American. I love that we get the males from all over the world. It makes it interesting to see how they react to the women.

Note: I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I loved the chemistry between Niklas and Sasha, so his pursuit of her was my favorite part of this book. Also, the constant trouble that seemed to befall Niklas in the beginning was hilarious, the poor guy was somehow always left battered and bleeding in Sasha's presence.
All in all I greatly enjoyed "Team Niklas", however, I was bothered by Sasha's lack of trust/belief in Niklas and his team's defection of support as well. I felt he deserved better than that from everyone, especially those who love him. Putting that aside though, this book made me laugh and care about the characters, so that is a win for me. Well worth the read! 3 1/2 stars

I have to say I think I like Sasha more than Alice. Sasha we got to meet in the last book. She's part of the marketing and not really involved in the day to day stuff, but that doesn't change the intense chemistry between Nik and Sasha. Oh he doesn't let her forget it :)

Niklas is the quiet guy on the field. No one really knows much about him, and sometimes the things that come out of his mouth are just funny and make you want to laugh out loud. But for poor Sasha, she has made some and had some seriously bad relationship issues that make trusting anyone a bit difficult.

I liked this one.

Received this ARC for my personal opinion…

First off let me say, this is my first book by Ally Adams and will not be my last! I really enjoyed this story and the characters! However, there were many grammatical errors and there was a discrepancy with the timeline toward the end of the book that bothered me. I know, I just read the Advance copy and not the final version, but I can only review what I read. If these changes are made, I think this book could easily 4 STARS!

I was given an ARC for an honest review. I am a huge fan of sports romance, there is so much possibility! Unfortunately this book was a bit of a disappointment. Niklas was a sweet yet sexy German charmer and I found Sasha's back story interesting. Niklas became more and more open with the heroine in regards to his past and how that molded him. This was the only real glitch in their relationship besides Sasha being gun shy. The lack of conflict made for a kind of boring ride.

Niklas and Sasha's story was a fun to read. He is from Germany. One of the highest paid players on the team. He has trust issues. Who wouldn't in his shoes. Sashes, even though just 23, newly divorced. They both have things in their past ha make bumps in the road of life. Ally Adams has written each book in this series so different, but enjoyable. Can't wait to read about the 'Russian'.
