*Audiobook Review* Remember when you were 5 years old and you took some vanilla ice cream and added chocolate syrup, m&ms, sprinkles and mashed gummie bears to make iced diarrhea? Well, you are in luck because there is a Litrpg version of it for sale. Dear god, I wondered if this was a written by a 15 year old Russian boy with ADHD issues. I had no idea, what was going on 70 percent of the time. The world building is confusing because it felt like the writer assumes that the reader/listener knows WHAT, WHERE and WHEN the story is taken place. Poor description of the various characters and locations along with certain words or the normalcy of the world is left unclear. So what i am picturing dead/sick people are sent into the virtual world for retirement? It takes place in the future were humans populate the galaxy; who are at war with SPACE GHOULS. The MC for some reason needs to grow stronger and learn magic, smiting, learn various skills and gain NPC allies/harem members. Once they become stronger the MC will travel back into the real world (a non-mana world) and into a war body to fight space ghouls. Now do you understand why I assumed that this story is written by a 15 year Russian old boy. Also the sex parts in the story is written by an obvious virgin that uses porn as a research material. Expect words like "she held my BONER" or "I fingered her lower LADY LIPS" and experience cringe factor to be set at 11. To the people who gave this ...5 stars. What the hell is wrong with you?
If this is written by a teenage virgin it's not a bad early writing attempt; better than i could have done at 14. They may become a decent writer one day. Hope they learn from the experience.
This book is excellent. I highly recommend you read Nebula Lord first then read this. Both books can be stand-alone reads but they have intermingled stories. There’s plenty of action and the storyline is great. I highly recommend both books!!
An awesome story in a really cool universe!!! Definitely feels in some f the pieces from early stories and I'm sure future stories to come!!! Keep'em coming
Maybe it was because I listened to this instead of reading it, but there were parts I just couldn't follow. The parts about the main character, his walking free familiar, and his harem were great. The parts about the over world were... Confusing. Plus it didn't start from the beginning. They keep mentioning the story about how the main character meets his tree familiar but they never actually tell it. I found that obnoxious. The whole story felt like there were parts of it left in the authors head and we don't have those parts.
