OMG OMG OMG!!! I LOVE THIS SERIES😍😍 this series is MY ALL TIME FAVOURITE reverse harem series in the whole book universe! This is the 5th time I have read this series! However it’s my first time reading 𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑁𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑠 book 4 of the series! I wanted to do a full reread before I dived into Worth’s last story with her men!

My what an adventure Worth and her men go on, we meet old friends and new and plenty of enemies along the way! I have LOVED watching Taz (Worth) grow throughout this whole series she has become a true leader and queen to her people! I love Taz’s strength and compassion but I also love the darker sides of her, the side that craves violence and blood! Taz truly is a true Queen forged in suffering and surviving, she is resilient and unbreakable and a true warrior!

I love the men in this book they all bring something different to the relationship,
Maxen is Worths strength
Thorn is her softness and helps her to feel
Drax brings her laughter and brings out her playful side
Jax gives her a sense of control
And Dray helps Worth unleash her inner warrior and pent up anger

I honestly love each of the guys they are perfect for Worth in every way possible and they face everything together as a family! The love for one another is astonishing!

We meet soo many AMAZING side characters along the way and my heart has been ripped out of me more than once by how attached I go to them all! My all time fave side character is Nan omg she’s such sassy old b*cth but she is hilarious!

This series takes you on a wild adventure into a dystopian future where you experience pain, loss and heartache but also find love, friendship and family! There are triumphs and losses alike but in the depths of the wastelands a Queen is forged through blood, sweat and survival!

Long live the Berserker Queen.

Long live The Nations!

Love the concept. Love Taz and her boys, especially the lovable psycho Dray. It’s obvious why Piper has a girl crush. I probable would’ve given 4+ stars if it wasn’t for editorial errors. I’m usually not picky about grammar and typos cause you can usually overlook them. I’m talking about full on plot holes and continuity errors. Every now and then KA would drop a piece of information and I’d be wondering where that came from. Or there’d be a line that doesn’t add up with the rest of the story. I was just left with too many questions that it started to impact the story for me a lot.
Who is Ethan?
What’s a Pascha?
Why does it say Taz has 6 men?
What the hell happened to the army and the bunker?
What was their big secret?
Who was the mole that sold out Taz to Ivar?
I’m sure some of these would be answered in the spin-off novels, but I don’t think I’m motivated enough to read them. Without the holes, this book would’ve been amazing! And don’t get me wrong, if you can look past them, I’m sure you’d love it.

1 word…..WOOWWWWW

I couldn’t out this down. It hooked me from the first page. I loved every part of the story. Even the darker and sad parts. I love how the main characters showed growth emotional and mentally and physically. They changed and were better off for it. It was simply amazing. I love this author. I can’t wait to read more of her amazzzzing work.
Whatever she does, she gets the stories spot on. Every time I read another book from her, it’s amazing and riveting. If I could, I’d give more than 5 stars. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I did not know what I was getting into when I downloaded this complete series! K.A. Knight's dystopian "Mad Max" style story is intense, gritty, and raw! There are scenes of horrific torture and rape and as the reader you definitely get the picture that humanity has sunk to it's most base animalistic behaviors. There is no community, there is no hope, there is only predator and prey. There is only darkness. This series is not for the faint of heart or a casual reader. K.A. Knight does not pull any punches in her story telling or her descriptive dialogues. Her characters are not sugar and spice or anything nice. Her main female protagonist is leather and fire and blades and she makes no apologies for being just as brutal as the landscape around her. Yet if you asked me if I liked this series my answer would be yes. I liked it. I liked the rawness of it. I liked the realness of it. I liked that the characters themselves were a reflection of their brutal survival stories and what they would do, what they would sacrifice to reach and grab for something better.
Tazanna Worth is the main character and she's the one telling us this story. She herself is one of those people you're either going to love her, or you're going to hate her. There is no in between. K.A. Does a brilliant job writing her from a first person POV of a brutal survivor of the absolute worst circumstance a female can survive. As a result of that Taz, or Worth as she renames herself rises from the pits of slavery to become the Queen of the Wastes and her journey to that point is not a straight line. This is a Reverse Harem story. If you're not familiar with that term it means there is one main female love interest and multiple male love interests. In this case Taz, and no, she won't have to choose just one. Each one of her love interests represents a side of her that is necessary to her self expression throughout the story. If that's not your "thing" then this book is probably not for you. If you don't mind that sort of thing then keeping reading below for the rest of my review.
The first two books of this series go by pretty quickly. So quickly in fact, that I thought I had missed a whole part of the story. I went back and searched but nope, there's just a whole piece that seems to be missing so that's kind of jarring and can be a bit difficult to move past.
By Book three you're into the flow of the story and your very vested. I very much have questions though. Namely what the heck is up with Paradise? That place is shady AF and I'm sorry to say we never really find out by the end of the series what's up with that place.
Throughout the course of Taz's journey she meets and falls in love with five other men. Her first love and her soulmate, she meets while fighting for her freedom in the Pits. His name is Drey and he's the Seeker King. Circumstances rip them apart early on and they don't see each other again for years. During that separation Taz believes that Drey simply left her. She's filled with betrayal and distrust. Drey has never stopped fighting to get back to Taz and if you think the King of Assassins is a little bit crazy and bloodthirsty then you'd be...absolutely correct! Drey is the craziest one of the 5 men and yet he is the physical embodiment of Taz's darkness. He is the only one capable of standing with her inside of that darkness when it takes over her.
The second man she meets and falls in love with is Jax. She calls him her Silent Demon. She meets him while she's barely surviving her painful past living at The Rim. It's the painful ghosts that live within Jax's gaze that draws her to him. She recognizes the dead eyed gaze of a fellow survivor and it's through her love for Jax that Taz is able to start to forgive herself for not being able to save the other slaves that her tormentor used against her.
The third man is Drax, he's Jax's twin brother. He's a jokester and he gives Taz back her humor. He makes her laugh, something she hasn't done in too many years to remember. Drax has his own pain but he chooses to mask his with humor.
The fourth is Thorn. Thorn is her softness. There's another story there but I'm not going to go into that in this review because it's a major plot twist. He's her protector, not that she needs one, but even a strong as hell warrior, a champion, needs to sleep sometime, and Thorn is there to be her shield. He's massive. He's her gentle giant.
The fifth and final but by no means least, is Maxen. He's her rock. He's her steady foundation and he's the only dominant one in this group. With him she can release all control, all decision making, all the stress of being "The Champion" and just be Tazanna Worth. It's with all of her men by her side that Taz confronts her past, rescues the lost and broken ones of the Wastes to unite them all against their enemy The Cities.
It's a lot!! The four books are a roller coaster ride of emotional growth and horrors. Ivar The Destroyer is particularly horrific as is the locked room of the Power Plant. Nan, Major, Reeves and Vassily are heart wrenchingly good side characters that bring much needed color and light heartedness to an otherwise bleak and bloody story. Piper, Archely, Even, Jago and Mountain Man need their own series because that is a group I need more of! I absolutely loved Piper and her guys!
I very much enjoyed 'Their Champion' and I look forward to the next K.A. Knight book!

Total smutty dumpster fire. I can’t stop reading it. It’s Mad Max in the UK with a female protagonist that’s looser than the plot. 10/10 would recommend if you enjoy porn.

Plot Holes Ahead but Just Go With It

Okay so this book is set 11-12 years after the melting of the polar icecaps. Most people died and majority of the land has turned to desert. Our characters are people who were able to push through the rising oceans and the desert lands. (Think Waterworld but with desert meets Gladiator but with an FMC meets Mad Max but with FMC meets Walking Dead with less zombies)
Plot holes abound in this setting:
1. There are already “clans” with distinct cultures and ways of living. That seems slightly unbelievable since we are only 11-12 yrs out. I think it would take a little more time for different cultures to emerge.
2. Everything is desert and we hear that water and food are hard to come by yet none of our characters are ever faced with this challenge. They even use drinking water to wash themselves off when they are out in the “wastes.” There are a lot of bath scenes and showers scenes.
3. Electricity and indoor plumbing work. Now there isn’t electricity in all locations but in many there is and there are toilets with showers in most places but not hot water.
4. They use mad max style vehicles. This poses many questions. Are these cars modified for driving on sand? Where or what is the fuel source? Sometimes it mentions roads but wouldn’t the sand from the now desert have buried the roads?
5. People are shirtless because it is hot and it does mention people being sunburnt but if the UV rays have in fact increased, then the sun would be deadly and it never seems to be more than “hot” no one is taking precautions with hats or covering their bodies.
Okay so those are just a few of the things that don’t add up in this book, there are more but these really had to be overlooked. To me it feels like this story should be set a little further out in time maybe like one generation out. So the leaders would have been children like 1-5 when things went to poop.
I read the first four in this series as one large book because that is how it came and overall, even with the plot holes, I enjoyed it. I felt like the first book could have had more in the way of building our FMC’s relationship with her city MMCs and then in the second it felt like we really got to know Dray well but didn’t see the other four MMCs. The third and fourth books did feel like they dragged compared to the first two. The smut scenes were spicy but somewhere between books three and four I was bored with them but they spiced up with the final smut scene which I enjoyed.
Lots of trigger warnings for this series. I mean it’s a post apocalyptic story and with those you normally have horror tales. So fair warning.
I enjoyed the main character. I thought she was interesting and if you are receptive to broken characters finding ways to deal with their brokenness then this might be for you. She is a total BA and I think some of the “love” stuff could have been cut or toned down and she still would remain a good character with a good story. Of course with all RH stories I have my favorites of her men. And of course they are the ones Knight developed more: Dray and Jax. I’ll let you decide for yourself.
I think overall even the side characters were decently developed. (Piper was a weird one who wasn’t fully developed and went from “hi nice to meet you” to “be my right hand” in 2 seconds but I see Knight was trying to introduce her and set up for her own stories while not taking away from Worth’s.)
So put away your logic and just read a good pretend smut book with interesting characters.

An excellent series!

This series was excellent. I laughed a bit, I cried some, my heart went on a bit of a roller coaster sometimes, and I pretty much loved every minute of it. If you're looking for a kind of post apocalyptic novel with love of all sorts, characters (specifically a female character or three) with true strength, underdogs coming out on top, and learning hard but valuable lessons in life, you've found it here. These books have it all.
Everything in the story was consistent, with only a couple of small exceptions. The ONLY negative I really had to point out was some of the grammar and spelling errors that were throughout the series. There wasn't a TON, but more than I expected to find, and more than usual in books I read. Generally it's a pet peeve of mine - spelling and grammar are important to me in books and distract me a bit from the story when there's mistakes, but in this case, the story was riveting enough that I looked past them! There were a couple of other small things, like names being wrong in one or two places, or something being different than how it was told in the past (she said once her brother didn't care when she tagged along with him and his friends before the world fell apart, but later said he would be annoyed when she did, but would later read to her in bed if she had nightmares or whatever).

BIT OF A SPOILER ALERT!!
Another thing that was missing from the story was what was in Paradise that the military was keeping secret. I noticed there is another book called The Damned coming out that follows this series, involving Piper and her men, I can only assume that might touch on it?

Overall, a GREAT series that I'll recommend!

I was lucky enough to win this omnibus in Katie’s Christmas giveaways during December 2022. Because I get easily tempted by new releases, I ended up waiting until January this year to read this collection. I honestly wish I could go back and slap my former self because holy shit balls this series is amazing.

I am usually a bit on the fence when it comes to post-apocalyptic books but wow. Just wow. I was hooked from the beginning and I couldn’t stop from just carrying on from one book to the next.

Our story is set in a Mad Max style world and follows our FMC Taz aka Worth - a force to be reckoned with. She then meets her city boys Maxen, Thorn, Jax and Drax and then later down the line we get Dray.

This series had everything that I’ve come to love from Katie’s books – reverse harem, drama, strong bad ass women, bat shit crazy men, snot-laugh inducing humour and all the feels. Like seriously, I was struggling to keep it together at times reading this.

I think the world was created so well and honestly I can believe society would descend into this sort of chaos if a cataclysmic event was to happen.

I loved each of these books and went on to devour The Forgotten spin-off series too.

Just WOW! This is an Epic read that won't be forgotten!

This is an Epic tale that's gotten itself put on my Top 10 most Amazing Epic Reads! It's up there with (to me) the Authors of Epics like Tolkien, Terry Goodkind, & Terry Brooks (Shannara) and is So similar yet Completely different to the Age of Andinna that this Complete Champion Series absolutely Had to be put on the list right next to it! It's Dark, like Pitch Black Dark, with a Ton of Triggers, but it spoke to my heart and as it made me Laugh, Cry & Worry about the main characters, it wedged itself into a place in my heart & tho I don't tend to re-read many books... I know I will this! If you can handle all the Darkness knowing there's still Light then I highly recommend you read this!!! It's bloody, & psychotic, & has some Really Steamy scenes, but it's Absolutely Awesome and as the MC's killing off her enemies, I've mentally been killing off mine with her, so Both of our futures are better off than our pasts. This is a Very skilled author who definitely has earned my respect! I can't wait to read the spin-off series next!!!

This is brutal, savage and very dark. TW beware.
Enjoyed the world build, decent storyline. FMC is a complete bada**, damaged but never broken. Enjoyed the MMC bonus POVs.
Some things felt out of order, like most of the fourth book should have been before the third and the battle in the third should be the series ender.
There are many instances where it felt like injuries were given as a heat-of-the-moment plot builder then everything was just fine afterward.
Mauled by a cannibal, not a problem. Beaten into unconsciousness and can barely move, let’s pop up and have lots of sex the same day. Worth and Dray’s blood play shenanigans tip into the ridiculous. This is a post-apocalyptic world and there is limited medical care but let’s cut everyone all the time? Felt extremely unrealistic.

Overall, not a bad read. I typically re-read, not sure if this will make the cut though.

Blah, my third DNF this week. This time, I'm actually disappointed. K.A. Knight wrote DOV and I looooved that book but this one...I don't know if it's one of her earlier works but the severe—I mean, SEVERE—lack of attention to comma usage (or lack thereof) killed me within 1%. That's right, I didn't make it past the first percent. This is most likely due to being a professional editor, but all I could do was think, "a comma should be here." It's disappointing because it promised to be a great read, which is why I gave it three stars.

If K.A. Knight ever goes back to put in edits, I'd be first in line to give it another try. The talent in the book is raw and editing could have made it great.

Good but predictable

Knights books all seem the same when it comes to the love and romance aspects. The story is intriguing, it was interesting to see the direction she decided to take it in. That being said, it was also very predictable. There were more than a few cringe spots. I also started needing to skip over large sections that didn't do anything for the story at all. I feel like the story just needed more balance. There were a lot of holes in the story as well as decisions that didn't make too much sense. Good enough to add to my have read library, but not good enough to recommend.

i was already skipping text in italics to not to know all the horrible things they did to her
but then she of course got caught as it always happens in this type of books and i had enough

notes
first book
- for someone with trust issues and horrible past they started to trust each other way to quickly
- and they fall in live after a week of knowing each other
- okayyyyy “Your ours.”
- how are they riding so far? don’t they need extra gas?
- i hope she won’t get pregnant bc there wasn’t the talk about contraception - nvm

second book
- i bet her father will betray her
- she’ll get caught mark my words - 😒😒

Dislike.

This was a super slog.
I read the spin off first and it was not great but it wasn’t this bad. I honestly thought this one would be better because it wouldn’t have all the weird jumps in time and missing information the way the spin off did but it was just as bad if not worse.
Super convoluted, a lot of editing issues, a lot of continuity issues, a lot of stuff that just doesn’t make sense, brings in too much in an effort to make a diverse world it made it more confusing and created issues.
This was a major struggle to finish. Would not recommend.

Fan bloody tastic!!!

Wow, I'm speechless, what an amazing series, K A Knight is amazing, a real author full of so much talent and imagination, definitely a name for my shortlist of talented authors, the storyline is incredible and the way she describes everything with just the right amount of information needed to 'see' the detailed characters and places is pure talent. Brilliant.

I almost DNFed this series but of course the prologue in the fourth book made me want to complete it. Ugh. I did not like this at all. Everything fell short. I was so bored, even through all the spicy scenes. The first and second books I did somewhat enjoy. By book 4 I was basically skimming over chapters. I felt like it was an extended epilogue. Ugh.

Great series ! She does what she wants when she wants and has balls bigger than any man in this book. I loved it. I will say the last book seemed unnescessary like we could have wrapped up with a few more chapters in book 3 but its not a biggie. Still enjoyed it. Low key want a Dray in my life haha

I already read book 1-3 before, but it had been awhile. I love the world building and grittiness of this story. The second time reading, I did find a bit too heavy on the smexy times, so I started skimming those. Book 4 read like one long epilogue and was a bit of a letdown.
