Five and a half years ago, at the Battle of Hogwarts, Hermione Granger saved my life. I hope to return the favor someday. Now, sitting on my couch after a long day at work, an owl arrives—it’s time. She left behind a coded journal and is currently missing. Can she be found, and what is really going on?

I loved this Dramione fic. I haven’t read one with Ron-bashing before, but I enjoyed the case Draco and Harry were following to try and find Hermione. It’s heartbreaking what Hermione went through, but I’m so glad we got a happily-ever-after. Also, the gritty, graphic nature of this fic is either recounted by Hermione or shown through its aftermath.

I really like the beginning of the story. I loved the whole concept of Ron being the bad guy and Draco figuring out the case.

But as soon as they found Hermione and they got married it started to be unrealistic for me. She’s been through so much trauma, got beaten till she lost her child, was rapes repeatedly, literally was almost murdered by Ron the day she got freed and lived in a massively abusive relationship with him for 5 years. But the she goes home with Draco and is horny for him the first second and they have sex that same day… idk that just seemed unrealistic to me and I would have loved a more detailed and believable recovery story for her and a slower development of their relationship.

But all together it was still a decent story!!

I really enjoyed this one, but it was so short. I wanted more drama and angst-everything kind of went well for Draco and Hermione- however, I did like that there wasn’t a breakup or tension after everything that happened to Hermione. Intimacy happened rather quickly, which I think actually worked for the story, especially after hermione’s explanation of how she survived. Three stars for entertaining me this morning.

DMLE Agent Draco rescues Hermione from. Her abusive marriage with Evil Ron. Turns into LOVE. Blaise, Luna and Harry Potter guest star. Theo is there but his OOC characterization compared to other fanon lost the story a star.
