Loved this! Our kids are very small, but the oldest one was already keeping track of the pictures and loved playing with the blocks. Definitely will return to this :)

Evelyn loved this! We will return to this book and our advent blocks each year. Such a wonderful way to engage the kids with the gospel in a simple and tactile/visual way!

Our family really enjoyed reading this together this year. My daughter, who’s 6, looked forward to it each night and comprehended way more than I expected. The book also comes with blocks to turn over and they can see the countdown to Christmas. On the other side of each block is a symbol to help them remember a key story from the Bible for that night.
The message of God coming to earth was clear and perfect for the true meaning of Christmas. Highly recommend this for families with elementary school age or younger children.

This was a sweet advent book/block activity combo to do as a family. I think it was a little too advanced for our little ones right now, but when we reach ages 5-10 I think it will be great. I even enjoyed the readings highlighting some of the key events and biblical figures leading up to the coming of King Jesus!

My only concern at times was that there were some things added that are not found in the bible (an attempt to engage children/make it more kid-friendly), which is just something to always be aware of/cautious of.

I was pleasantly surprised at the breadth of this advent for kids. It takes you through the main storyline of the Bible, highlights how sin separates us from God, and climaxes in Jesus bringing us back into fellowship with God. Although too hard to follow for my 2 year old daughter, my 4 year old son asked questions and engaged with each 2-page devotional just fine.

Loved the brevity and repetition of this Advent. My kids probably needed more pictures but they did love the blocks. We actually finished it, so that's a first and probably the only testimony you need.

Puts words in the mouths of Bible characters they did not say, but does a good job connecting old testament stories to the new

One of our favorite Christmas traditions. Lots of repetition so the kids could recite back beautiful biblical truths by the end of the month.

Used this as our Advent devotional for 2022. Good repetition throughout the book that my kids caught onto. Not my favorite writing, but my kids understood it and enjoyed it for the most part.
