A brief but compelling presentation of what work, and online work especially, looks like today.
Each text included approaches the theme through the lens of a particular artwork or set of artworks. Hopefully by the time I return to this I’ll have a clearer picture of exactly what Luciana Parisi is talking about in her section.

Some phrases that stood out:
Amazon Mechanical Turk,
‘human in the loop’,
‘shitty automation’,
black box,
entreprecariat.

Some references that stood out:
Andre Gorz,
Postal Machine Decision - !Mediengruppe Bitnik (based on The Postman’s Choice by Ben Vautier),
BEFNOED (By Everyone, For No One, Every Day) - Eva and Franco Mattes,
“Humans as Software Extensions”, Sebastian Schmieg
