WHEW! This book might be my favorite one out of the series. I loved that they were friends for years then became lovers. It made it more special to me. Kay-Kay & Houston are so cute! ☺️ There was so much that I did not see happening especially with Bre & Onyx!! I don’t know who’s crazier Dallas or Houston. I’m very pleased with this book! Can’t wait to read more!

Houston

Whew Chile that Houston😍😍! Between him and Dallas they make me want to move to New Orleans. Just so I can find me a man with that accent and swag! Houston was the truth! He didn’t play when it came to his Cake that is for sure! I would like to say you get to share the petty award of the year. I can’t believe you did that to me! Is it to early to ask for the next release? Sesational

It took me while to actually get into this book, but once I did it was pretty good. Kay-Kay pissed me off a couple times because she should have just told Thaddeus from jump what was up, and then trying to act on Houston knowing how both of them felt. But all in all this was a good book.

The Crew is Back Together

Monique did it again. I LOVED IT!!! The gang was back together. The McQueens, Smiths, Halos and the rest of the wives. Retro came back and some new Villains were introduced. Maybe a new alliance was introduced, the Winters family. Great Reading! We want more Monique!😁👍🏿

Great Read

This book was so good from beginning to end and I couldn't put it down. Still enjoying these characters and this storyline. I so loved Kay-Kay and Houston together and their bond was unbreakable. So glad when they made it official. Thad and Onyx, both surprised me and they got exactly what they deserved. So glad with how everything turned out. Great job M. Monique.

Bay-be, this one right here😳...

Queen M Monique just keep coming with that🔥🔥🔥🔥! This installments revelations kinda left me speechless, like wow!

How the book kicked off shocked me! That fool Thaddeus really thought he had got away with the perfect set up. He just screamed family man with all the traveling him did for "work"🙄. But all the ish that came out was minor to the fact that he, tried to threaten Kay, put his hands and feet on her and he was apart of what happened to Retro😳. The ninja deserved everything he got.

I love Houston with his fine sexy blue eyed ass😜😍. Everybody knew he was in love with Kay-Kay, even Tia 'ol ima stuck around inn hopes you'll love me one day, couldn't be me🤷🏽. When he broke down in that hospital after Kay-Kay got into that crash and found out she was engaged, I cried with him😭. They all treated him like he was the worst ninja for Kay-Kay, like they wasn't out there doing the same thing as him before the found their one, smdh. He beat Thadd 'ol fake wanna be hard ass in that ER🤣.

Kay-Kay kinda pissed me off too cause she arched like she couldn't Trish Houston but yet she considered him her best friend. She told dude about Houston but his her relationship with him from Houston, smdh.
When she showed up at his office, I was like yaaasss, go get yo man🤣🙌🏽😜! When he kissed her, the was it. When she finally have that fool some😼, Houston was really gone in the head. He would definitely do anything necessary for her💞

Tia learned the error of her ways, cause Carter was not playing about his peace, so she got her act together quick. Almost lost that good man trying to mess up somebody else happy home🙄😒.

These families are the true definition of family ain't always the ones you share DNA with. They go hard for each other, no questions asked.

That demented ninja Onyx was the devil. Every kick, punch, broken rib/arms,etc he had, he deserved and the icing on the cake was how he died.
I hate that what he did to Break made her feel like she had to kill herself to be free, that broke my heart. Hearing her Psychologist read her Will was so heartbreaking💔😭. At least her baby girl Will be loved and protected for life.

When M Monique brought back a blast from the past, I wanted to scream, but my daughter was in my bed tho, lbvvs. I can't wait to read his story cause I really wanted to know more about him.

I'm so looking forward to Kay-Kay & Houston getting married💕
NEXT😜!

Houston + Cake

M. Monique's "Anything Necessary For Her" unfolds a riveting narrative, exploring the complexities of love, friendship, and the consequences of decisions made. The plot revolves around Houston McQueen, whose unspoken feelings for his best friend Kay-Kay lead him to keep her at a distance. As events unfold, devastating news and unforeseen circumstances force Houston to confront his emotions.

The setting provides a dynamic backdrop to the story, immersing readers in the lives of the McQueen and Halo gang. Monique intricately weaves the urban landscape, creating an atmosphere that mirrors the intensity of the characters' relationships and the events that unfold.

Kaliyah Halo's character adds depth to the narrative as she breaks free from her brothers' shadows, making a drastic decision that sets off a chain reaction of life-altering events. The dynamics between Houston and Kaliyah evolve against a backdrop of secrets and buried truths, adding a layer of suspense to the plot.

A freak accident serves as a catalyst, revealing hidden secrets and unleashing a series of events that shatter the peace within the McQueen and Halo gang. The author masterfully builds tension, keeping readers on the edge of their seats as the characters navigate a path of revenge.

The collision of two worlds, Houston and Kaliyah's, becomes a central focus, and Monique skillfully explores whether their connection can withstand the unburied past and the emergence of new love. The narrative delves into the emotional turmoil, testing the resilience of relationships amid adversity.

As the story unfolds, the in-depth exploration of the characters' emotions and the intricate plot twists create a compelling reading experience. Monique successfully captures the essence of love's complexity, intertwining it with elements of suspense and unexpected revelations.

In conclusion, "Anything Necessary For Her" stands out as a gripping tale that seamlessly combines love, secrets, and revenge. M. Monique's storytelling prowess shines through as she navigates the intricate relationships within the McQueen and Halo gang, delivering a narrative that keeps readers engrossed until the final page.

hmmm…

This was in its way cute…. but also maybe not for me. The premise is that Kaliyah and Houston are long-time close friends who have feelings for each other, but don’t take their friendship there because Houston is somewhat of a f-boy in relationships. When tragedy occurs, they’re forced to re-evaluate their relationship. But the path to true love has never been smooth.

This was brutal and emotional as one can expect from this author. There were similar themes of love and family and loyalty and support that have run though all the books I’ve read from this author so far. I liked the romantic relationships portrayed between Kaliyah and Houston and between their relatives and their partners. With hindsight, I may not have started this book first but may have sought out a Dallas or Illyon book first as sometimes this book referred to characters like I was expected to know who they were perhaps from an earlier book in the series. In that sense, it would be easier if the books were grouped based on how they’re interlinked in a timeline for those of us who like to read in order as the world is built. That said, I was sort of able to skip over the people I didn’t know and follow the main point of the story. I think if you’re used to reading haphazardly or out of order, this won’t signify at all.

The part of the book that bothered me most I think is how young and somewhat immature the male characters were and how they (and their world) in my opinion, had a skewed perspective about what being a man was. There just seemed to be a lot of wasting of Black lives in this for me. The situation between Houston and Walker for example just seemed really sad and unnecessary to me- like two kids playing at life and death in a playground. To me, the whole disagreement was juvenile, the response was childish and reactive like a hot-headed tantrum, it kind of made me see Houston as a kid that needed a lot of growing up and maturing. Overall, this was fine, not my favourite from this author because of the characters, but the plot was interesting and I found it difficult to put down.

Every time I begin a review I got to talk about these fiiine men lord ham mercy lol 😂.

Houston and Kay Kay are best friends for years but Ms. Kay Kay did the unthinkable that set Mr. Houston off whew chile!

I love these men and how they protect their women. Now what poor Kay Kay went thru was a lot. Her friend was very selfish on what she did and that was not cool at all.

All these bad men ~~~ I got no words 😶. All the secrets, betrayals left me with my mouth wide open. These bad guys just don’t understand not to mess with these men because as I keep repeating when you come for one you come for all. All these men got several screw loose.

Note: I would not take away any stars where some names were being mixed up and Dallas and Houston parents author did say they were having a girl but it is a boy. That is the author’s prerogative to change her mind regarding the sex of the baby.

Houston has no problems

Houston is a man now and he’s young but he’s not dumb. He thinks and sees things on a different level than his age group. He knows the value of a good woman, keeping a clear head, his money is straight, he’s got a couple bodies on him, and he’s fine! Being little brother to Dallas he grew up differently. The one who always has his heart is Kay-Kay but she doesn’t think he can dead the hoe in him for her.
Kay-Kay is in love with her best friend but she’s kinda engaged to the next man. Her bestie doesn’t know how she feels or what she thinks about him.
Things get out of hand when her engagement is revealed after a life altering accident.
This wouldn’t be an M Monique book if it didn’t have some serious drama and it doesn’t disappoint. This book has love, death, resurrection, loyalty, fidelity, shootouts, and more.
Nothing will get in the way of Houston when it comes to Kay-Kay!
Great read

Loved it!!

M. Monique ,you did it again! Oh how I enjoyed reading this book. I loved how Kay-Kay wasn't a jealous person who was fit to throw a temper tantrum because Houston, was dealing with another person. Houston on the other hand was straight fool!😀😀😀I loved how it something went wrong and if someone was causing problems for the family everybody came together as one big family and got things handled it somebody was out to harm the family.. Brandon Retro Reeves. I was so happy that he wasn't dead. Imagine what his mom is going to do to him once she finds out about him still being alive and not reaching out to her. I'm a feel sorry for him. I so much enjoy reading your books M.Monique!!!

Yeah This .Is.Good!

The next episode, is all I can hear playing in my head and I have to say just like the line that song this just as good. The writer brings us right to the action and doesn't let off the gas. We get to see such a sweet relationship unfold an become so effortlessly good. There are quite a few things going on in this story and the writer ties all events in so well that you are shouting you want more and you want to know the story before this.Overall you are going to be on the edge and you are going to love every moment.

Another Banger!!!

One thing I can say about all the men in these books. They’re definitely faithful men when they meet the right woman. I love how they cater and care for the women in their lives. Kay Kay and Houston were perfect for each other. I knew it was a reason I didn’t to much care for Thad. Onyx...now that definitely blew my mind. The other surprise also made me happy 😉 can’t tell what that is though. So just read it and find out😂 one again you won’t be disappointed.

good 📚

This was an interesting storyline- I loved Houston and Kaliyah together. They were best friends and soulmates. Houston was nothing to play with; he was young but he was ready! Somewhere in the storyline there was a ton of plot twists and although it didn’t take away from the vibe of the book, I did have to reread a bit to piece the pages together. I do like that a lot of the characters overlap so each book has a little bit of foreshadowing into the next book.

Another one

Man I love these characters.. I have fell in love with everything they do. This one had more jokes and I liked that. It still had it's drama, twist and turns plus gangsta ish. Kay-Kay and Houston is super cute. I loved the way he showed her he would always be there not just told her. I just knew Thad and Onyx was going to be a problem, they just seemed to squeaky clean. Man that Walker part was genius as well as the Winter's being added. On to the next one

Houston ain’t no youngin no mo 🤣

That man Houston wasn’t playing about his behbeh. I like how their relationship was a friendship first that sprung into an all out love affair. M. Monique always had a plot twist for you and in this book somebody comes back. We needed that reveal because loosing family wasn’t in any of these fools agenda. These brothers gave this series so much life and a lot of offing people. I’m enjoying it.
