This book was not bad...it just started to lose me a little. This book doesn't feel very balanced. The fmc is powerful enough that I just never worried and things just seemed to fall so easily for her. She can heal and is stronger than all of the other wolves. She picks up a bow and arrow and is a magical perfect shot each time. Where is the worry? The final confrontation with Dante is perhaps 4 pages long it seems and is over in a second.
Because this is a 'fated mates' book she has barely any relationship building with any of the guys before she sleeps with them. The most perhaps was probably Silas. In fact, the guys have a stronger relationship with one another than they do her I would say. Cole and Silas grew up together and have this brotherly bond almost and spend much of their time together fighting. Eli and Xander have the hots for one another. When they all spend time together it isn't long before it ends up being a sex-fest.
So aside from all of that we are going to throw in Xander's story. Because obviously this book needs to have some other backstory (Is this series really 4 books long!? WHY). It was sort of introduced at the end of last book and its peppered in a lot in this book but it just feels like it doesn't fit.
I kind of liked the first book - but this second book was kind of a let down and disappointment. I finished the book though! I just don't know if I'm keen to finish the series.

Another super quick read with a whole lot of mates and mating. Ivy comes to the realization that not only is she a wolf, but she's an unheard of alpha and it's going to take some getting used to. I enjoyed this book and it moved really fast along. Ivy is able to bridge the divide between the East and West Arbor packs but there's still so much yet to come I just know it. I have a feeling Ivy's harem is still not complete and I'm wondering if Xander's missing friends will be the last ones or if her being Alpha means something else.... So far so good, I'm hooked, the audio is decent and I am enjoying Ivy and her banter.

2.5 rounded down. This series started off decent, but I didn't like this book as much. Not sure if I'll continue.

🦌 Cows of the Forest 🦌

Some big changes starting in Arbor Falls as Ivy begins to repair the damage done 25 years ago. We get some glimmers of foreshadowing to her possible origins as the the conflict continues to play out from the former cliffhanger. We get some development for each relationship which I love seeing, I’m not a fan of instalove and my soul rejoices every time they favor actually getting to know each other than diving into just the hormones of the bond. I’m excited to see where we go from here especially with the cliffhanger and my suspicions for Ivy’s mysterious origins.

This 2nd book exceeded my expectations. I loved everything about this one. We see a lot of truths come out. We see enemies come and are vanquished only to have more come. The interactions between the guys and Ivy were just what I needed. I loved the progression of the relationships not just between her and the guys but between Silas and Cole who were best friends in the past and Xander and Eli. It just touched my heart...And oh the private times between them all are HAWT. This book really told me a lot more about what is going in with Xander and what hes been through. I loved that this book was action-packed. I was literally on the edge of my seat. SO MUCH ADVENTURE. I almost had a heart attack about COLE. You cant do that to me. I read it so fast, I couldn't help it and I admit, I was trying to turn the page for more when it was over. I was like nooooooooooooo.. It cant be over. I am so anxious to see what MORE Xander might be if he is and what exactly the mysterious group that had him really did to him and what they want. And oh Miss IVY, I cant wait until she is at her full potential. I think she could take over the world if she chooses to. This book and series are a must read and I love everything Maya writes. She one of my favorite authors so everyone needs to read this. I cant wait to see this whole group mesh together more and really become a cohesive unit because when they do, there is nothing that can stop them and oh that little bit about Riley and her boys was AMAZING, I loved it...GET THIS BOOK.

Holy hot panties on fire Batman! Eli, Xander ohhh lord why are you two so perfect? I loved that we are getting to see glimpses of what Xander was like before everything happened and that Ivy and Eli are so great with him and that he was getting help that he needs. Silas dude you are amazing but I kind of want to thump you on the head how did you not know Ivy snuck out. Ugh I have so many questions for Silas’ dad, like where the heck is he!? What does he know? Does he know who Ivy’s mom is? Cole really seems a little depressed about Ivy being the alpha hopefully he will be able to work that out. Si and Coco what adorable nicknames! Even though they have mostly been at each other’s throats we are starting to see their friendship repair and how Ivy is really good for them. Ugh stupid Dante what a waste of space. And now the people that did all of those unspeakable things to Xander are back, we saw it coming but seriously I hate them so much! With the news from Riley it definitely seems like something big is brewing and it doesn’t look good for anyone. We once again leave Ivy in danger because of course poor girl can’t catch a break but I’m really excited to see how her and her mates get out of this mess.

Wolf Forsaken is book 2 in the Arbor Falls series, and did not disappoint!

I thoroughly enjoyed the story. It seemed like there was never a lull in the craziness that Ivy and her men have to face. That being said, it didn't feel like it was forced or overdone, just the story itself kept building at a pace that kept me turning page after page dying to know what was going to happen. It was never what I expected, and kept me engaged throughout. I did not want to put it down!

Ivy is so sassy and independent, and I enjoy watching as she grows throughout the series so far. The multiple POV was extremely well done in offering a view through the men's perspective. All of Ivy's men are so different, and their different views come across so well. As this series does have MM content, I loved getting to see that develop, and it was not overdone.
"Just think of them like cows of the forest."
"Cows of the forest?" I snorted and wondered what it looked like if when a wolf smiled. I needed to find a mirror and check my wolf out.
"Like tuna is the chick of the sea."

Full of humor, adventure, steam and romance, I absolutely loved this book and can't wait for book 3 to come out!

This is the second book to this series. Wolf Forgotten is the first and you will need to read it before reading this.

This book starts out with a flash from the past. It helps you understand more about Xander and his story. It also helps pull the story together throughout the book. Then it picks up from the cliffhanger of the previous book. You will see all of them grow closer together during this series. You will see all of them have struggles that they try to come to terms with. You see Ivy grow into herself so naturally as a wolf. She also starts learning more about who she is and her background. I love how we find out these snippets of who she might be but still not fully having clear answers. I know some don’t like cliffhangers but these literally keeping you thinking about this story until the next one comes out. This cliffhanger will so get you! It keeps the story latched onto my brain just waiting for the next book to come out!

This is an excellent 2nd book in the series, full of action, romance, twists and turns, and character progression. As this storyline picks up directly after Book 1, you will need to read that one first before beginning this novel, as it is not a standalone story.

One of the things that I really enjoyed about this story is the romance between 2 of the male harem members, as it is quite an interesting concept that the male harem members might have also have another fated mate that works within the dynamic of the harem. Especially if that other mate is same sex. The character of Ivy is a strong one and it is good to see her stand up for herself in this story. Also it was appreciated that a few of the storylines were resolved in this book, but more threads of the storyline were woven, culminating in an "don't stop here" cliffhanger. I am really enjoying this series very much.

Thank you to Maya Nicole for gifting a copy of the story. I'm voluntarily reviewing and providing an unbiased opinion of complimentary eARC.

Wolf Forsaken is book two of a series of four, and must be read in order.

With the cliffhanger that she left us with, Maya Nicole delivers us into a world of chaos and upheaval. Our female main character doesn’t know what to think, except that she needs her mates. She has to escape various situations, while navigating pack protocols and rules. Even more so, she is on a quest to find out who she is. But, she doesn’t expect her arrival to throw the pack politics into the air, and mix everything up. Even more so, a danger now lurks that could be a danger to the wolf shifter world as a whole, one they didn’t see coming!

I’m so excited for the next book!!

Story 📖: 5/5 not super dark, but entertaining and addictive!
Heat 🔥: 5/5 great steamy scenes, contains some hot mm scenes!
Cliffhanger ⛰: 5/5. Great ending. Leaves me wanting the next book NOW!!

WOW!!! I am speechless!! I absolutely loved this book. Ivy finally stepped into her role that she was always made for and she owned it like a true goddess!! I loved how everything came together and her hot as sin mates came together even though a few are very stubborn. It grabs you from the very beginning all the way until the very end where you want to scream and throw your reading device at the wall lol. It was a scream worthy ending but dang it was soooo good. There was wit, sarcasm, stubbornness, great world building, answers you needed from book one, drama, amazing characters, which is basically what you need for such an amazing book. I highly recommend this series to everyone. You definitely don't want to miss out! Maya truly out did herself so far with these two books and I truly can not wait for the next book in the series!

Omg. Omg. That fricken ending, that absolute fricken ending.

I feel like it’s been a while since I’ve been consumed by a series, but this one has got me goooooood. PNR, RH, shifters, yes please 🙌🏼

If I thought that book 1 had it all going on, book 2 came and went all in. It was hotttttt and completely action packed.

I loved so many things about this book, but mostly I loved that we still don’t really have a clue as to what’s going on. A lot happened, relationships were cemented, but we’re only just scratching the surface on everything. Where has Xander been? Who really is Ivy? Will Silas and Cole cross swords? All perfectly valid questions and I am off to find out more in book 3 🙌🏼

Maya Nicole continues to stun and amaze! Wolf Forsaken is book two in the Arbor Falls series. It did not disappoint. Ivy continues to be a strong and confident woman. Her men are protective, but not to the point of just putting her in a corner. Book two has action, mystery, comedy, and steam. Maya always comes through with the plot! Of course as the Queen of Cliffhangers, we are left dangling. I’m so excited for the next book!

Maya kills me with every book. She leaves us hanging. This book is no different. I do love that there were some amazing steamy scenes. I love that Ivy is learning who she is. There were a few big questions answered in this book, but it also created new questions. Xander is working hard to overcome what happened to him. Silas and Cole start to work together for Ivy. This does not have a happy for now ending.

I’m totally loving this series. Ivy is a strong lead female character and she stays that way after meeting her mates. Learning some of Xander’s past and how it’s intertwined with what’s happening to ivy, Cole, Eli, Silas and the rest of Thrace has my intrigued and eager for the next book. This book ends on a doozy of a cliffhanger, the next book can’t come soon enough!

I loved this book! It was a great follow on from book 1. Some questions were answered, but the ending leaves you hanging for book 3. Ivy is a kickass FMC who has had a lot of changes in a short space of time, despite this she keeps going doing what she needs to do. Her men are starting to get along with each other, with two developing a more intimate relationship. I can’t wait for book 3.

Wonderful second book in the series with a great plot. We get to enjoy enough steam to keep interested throughout. I loved the interaction between Eli and Xander during this book. I always think interactions between harem members is difficult if they aren't only interested in the main character. If not written very carefully, I can end up feeling upset on the behalf of the main character (I get wayy to involved) even when they have no problem with it. I enjoy M/M scenes, but it has to strike a balance, which this book did wonderfully.
I can't wait for the next in the series!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
That ending nooooooooo! Omg! I cant believe it! Ivy is such a bad @$$ and the unknown strength she has is so intriguing. Cole and Silas are entertaining when they have their tiffs, but Eli and Xander are so steamy and hot I need to fan my self! This was a Rollercoaster of how to get rescued and the pack safe and then BAM Xander's having issues and then TO BE CONTINUED!! I cant take the stress from these cliffhangers but im a glutton for punishment cause I definitely will be reading the next!

Well if you like your cliffhangers you will love the cliffhanger in the second installment of Arbor Falls. Follow Ivy and her mates through the highs and lows of life as a wolf and part of a pack. I am not too sure if I can handle another cliffhanger like this one in the next book. Hooefully the author will take pitty on us and not do such a thing? Dive in to this book and get your next fix of Arbor Falls.

The second in The Arbor Falls series, delves deeper, reveals more, lines are drawn, packs defined? Really drew me in and made me like the characters more and the steam levels are rising. That tricky end snuck up though...and Maya warned me..

Somebody comment below that the book is starting to lose them and I couldn’t agree more. It’s still fun and good enough but I really think this book could’ve been a duology? With how short it is. I’m losing steam to continue it
