Hmm. Okay, so, after devouring the first two books in this little trilogy I'm a bit underwhelmed with Blood Bound. Don't get me wrong, I was very happy with all the romance I got with this little harem but the big bad villain kind of seemed fluffy in a way? Like I get it.. she wanted a family and shit. But living in hell with whatever that was was not the way to do it.

Other than that, I absolutely adored getting to meet her parents. Ya know that ones that actually raised Demi and everything. It's easy to see how she become so freaking stubborn but I definitely adored those two. I'm also glad that certain people are safe and happy but I'm not okay with who died. Sorry, I'm just not and I don't know if I ever will be okay with it.

Also, the other villains were just meh to me. I mean we knew about them for the entire series but they were really, really, dumb. Like a rock would probably be smarter than these assholes. Just saying.

In the end, I'm intrigued to see when she will have a baby because of the deal she made. I'm also really looking forward to dive into Evelyn's series because I have so many freaking questions about her. Especially if she gets her own little harem!

4.5 stars.
I loved the violence, and the bit of growth these characters went through.
I liked the relationships.
The sex was hot as hell.
The plot was just okay.
That ending was a tiny bit anticlimactic. I mean there were pretty high risks, but it all just evened out in the end , so easily. I don’t know. It just didn’t fully do it for me in that regard.

Overall, I did really enjoy the series.
I am glad I picked it up. I Love a FMC that doesn’t need corruption from the antiheroes to do badass, psycho shit. It’s refreshing, and so much more fun than when their ‘good girls’ who have to ‘come to terms’ with all the violence.🙄😂
Psychos with quick reflexes are Way more fun.

Fun trilogy

This third book brings the story arc to a close. There are some lose ends to tie up, but the author states that she has other books planned in the same world, so those will possibly be addressed. I liked the story, but this felt a little rushed. It was like the author had a checklist of bad guys we needed to address and we made our way down the list. Still worth it.

The final book in the Blood Mafia series, Demi is tasked with finding her loved ones before it’s too late.

OH. MY. GOD. AGHGHFHSJFLI LOVED IT!! Super bummed the series is over but luckily there is more in store for this world which I’m SO excited for! Now, there are lots of great things about this book! One being; we get to see more of Demi’s vulnerable side and insecurities making her seem more human amidst her extreme badass-ness. Another, the lovable albeit slightly psycho friends and family. I also enjoyed the way this story was written. Instead of one big conflict, there are many being built up and up and are confronted in pieces which allowed tension to resolve slowly and kept me constantly wanting to keep reading to get all the juicy answers to my questions.
On brand with this series I only have a few complaints. One being the parts where I just wanted a little more umph. My final complaint is just that I wish Demi and the boys made more of an effort to get to know one another :(.
Even with my complaints I still thoroughly enjoyed this book, and definitely recommend this series!!! It is a fun, fast paced book with a badass MC who takes 0 shit.

My 5 Favourite Things;
*Melony the baby badass
*Anthia’s Jar
*The way the story had multiple conflicts, and multiple moments of resolution
*Grayson and Lacey’s relationship
*Evelyn (I just LOVE her, and am so excited for her books!)

I'm very clearly in a total vampire mood and luckily I have quite a few ARCs encouraging me to give into that mood. In a few weeks this book, the last in the Demi trilogy, comes out and I loved the first two so much that I was really excited about this one! (And did you already see the cover for the spin off? I can assure you that's even more gorgeous than these covers and these were already quite nice to look at!)

I have to admit that for me this book had a little too much action in it and too few emotional moments and scenes. However, especially in the second half there were a few really important and touching moments that made up for the fight descriptions. On top of that I loved how Miles managed to show us a new part of this supernatural world, which opened up a million of new possibilities for stories and spin-offs and I want to read them all.

This book was very clearly the book where Matteo had to make clear that he wanted Demi as a partner, as his equal and that he sees her as a love interest. Enemies to lovers is all amazingly fun, but at some point bridges need to be built and confessions need to be done. It took Matteo some time to get there, but I loved how his struggle was written so realistically. He didn't change for Demi. He really grew into a better person because of her.

And the same can be said about Demi. Because of reasons she hasn't always been the nicest character I've ever met. She also had some growing and learning to do and although she started that curve in the first book, there was still some work to do in this book. And I really admire how Miles does it naturally and brilliantly. And how Miles, along the way, makes saying sorry to others and learning a beautiful thing and not something to be ashamed of.

I'm so looking forward to her next new series!

Man, for some reason the final book of the series just did not live up to the first two books for me?

The plot just seemed rushed? Like there were new things brought into the story in this book and it just seemed that more could've been done with them in this book and they weren't they were kind of glossed over? Whatevs. Still liked the story of this one.

Demi and her boys get shit done in this book and it was super fun to read about. :)

This felt like a book that we didn't really need. I think the second book could have been a bit longer and encompassed the important parts of this. It seemed like most of this was Demi being mad at Mateo and him trying to apologize. There are some action parts, but they seemed kind of easily resolved.

What I am interested in is Evelyn's book. I wonder if she'll be with Blaze or Zander or maybe both if we're lucky? I also wouldn't mind seeing more of the underworld and the people there. The author says there are more books coming from this world, so I'll be looking into those.

Meh

I really liked Demi as a strong FMC, but the ending of this was a little rushed, and there was a ton of back story that I thought we’d get in this book, but that never happens. The MMCs backgrounds are mentioned and alluded to in each book, but they’re never fully addressed or explained. That’s a lost opportunity for some character development and a way to develop deeper ties between Demi and the men that aren’t solely based on smexy times and fighting. Where’s the real emotional development? Each of these guys has a female in their pasts that has in some way affected them in the present, but even though the reader knows these things, Demi only really learns about one on the page, and it’s not really enough.

Also, the big reveal with Mateo kind of strains credulity. He did this thing in the past, and if it’s forgiveable, it should take more than a few chapters. I get why it had to happen in this book for the plot reasons, but it would have served the overall plot for it to have happened in book one or two, so they have time to realistically deal with it.

Overall the series is great, but I don’t always like it when an author uses the end of one book to set up the spin-offs. It typically feels like the author is taking time away from the people in this book to talk about people I don’t want to talk about yet.

Blood mafia

This is the end, and personally it's sucks. I really liked this series, this last book though. I hated the direction it went. I think my first issue is the constant conflict between demi and Mateo. Demi's b****hy-ness was over the top at times and was just so getting old by this 3rd book. I don't think he honestly deserved half the s**** he got, and the book dragged on and on with demi's bad attitude. I also didn't like how strong of a hunter demi was one minute, then seemed to lose her training at times, or seem not as strong the next. The battle with nix, I hated it. What demi gave up. I hated it. I think that was the wrong way to head with this book. Demi herself was abandoned, and her real hate for Maria was well shown in this entire Series. So when it's known that she must give up her first child to a women who will use the child as a weapon. That was sh***y, and demi honestly continues on after this like it's not a huge problem. The book just goes on with sex and making up. And it's really mind blowing. This was probably the worse ending for me personally, it's like life repeating itself.

4 solid stars and no cliffhanger- why not 5 like the previous 2 books, you ask?

While it was still good, loaded with action, steam and sarcastic, funny moments, I can’t help but feel that there were parts in it that didn’t really fit it. Yes, looking at you, underworld-scenes. That entire part felt a bit out of place, more like a prelude to upcoming books than being necessary for this story’s conclusion. There were too many new persons/creatures/world building tidbits all pressed in one chapter for my liking.

But overall, again, a very entertaining read and a satisfying conclusion for this trilogy - I’ll definitely read more of this world and by this author.

Book: Blood Bound
Read By: Ebook and Softcover
Author: Rory Miles
Genre: Reverse Harem, Fantasy Romance
Recommend: Yes
Spice:🌶️️🌶️️
< b>Age recommendation: 18-30+ Years
My feelings:

Oh what a guilty pleasure this series is. Totally not what I read or enjoy but I gobbled it up!

“Everything I do is for the Blood Mafia. EVERYTHING.” My shout is so loud it rattles the doors and windows. “I broke her neck to protect you and this is how you react? She’s my mate and I killed her to save you all. If that isn’t keeping the Blood Mafia priority, I don’t know what is.”

SERious loved this! and I don’t know why! I normally read dark mafia romance, but here I am completely consumed by 3 hot Vampire men. And I need more! I think I might continue on with this authors others books that all attach themselves to this series!

I glance over my shoulder to see everyone has come to the dark side. Contrary to popular belief there are no cookies.

Highly recommend! Colt, Greyson and Mateo will haunt your dreams… in a good way!

This is by far one of the best RH Vampire series if you like a strong female M/C as its full of wonderful moments and book 3 as a final instalment doesn’t disappoint. There are a couple of semi open questions but after speaking with the author there will be another series planned in this world for Evelyn which will ties them up
Rory writes psychotic female characters extremely well and this book was non stop action with plenty of sizzle and steam. I cant begin to say how much i like Demi as we all have the feeling that occasionally things need stabbing - she however doesn’t think - stabs first and thinks later - oops
Do yourself a favour and don’t miss this series its brilliant

Now that was the way to end an absolutely killer trio of books. Stab happy Demi (FMC) made her way through this book with wise cracks and lots of kick***ness lol. There was plenty of blood, sex and a few tears too. Demi and Mateo spent most of this book at odds with each other. Which when you break someones neck they kinda hold a grudge (dont worry she did live). It understandable. It was a brilliant ending. I cant praise this series up enough. It was a cracking read

Just wondering if maybe there might be any books featuring Blaze & Evelyn? Fingers crossed for that one

This was a fun series, a lot of action and good ole UF tropes going on. This was my least fave of the three books mostly because it didn't feel like the last book in a series until the very last 20% where everything got neatly gift-wrapped really fast. Overall is was an enjoyable series.

Loved this series! I really liked the characters and the plot.

I would’ve really enjoyed though just to see her cheating ex come back and for her and her guys to beat his ass or something lol. He doesn’t get to see her happy and powerful, and i thought it was a shame.

Can’t wait for the next spin off book!

Kind of a so-so ending for a great series.

Overall I really enjoyed this series and would recommend it to someone looking for a fun vampire themed enemies-to-lovers romance.

I felt that the last half of the book was a little rushed. The final battle with Nix was kind of lackluster and the consequences of

The push and pull between Demi and Mateo throughout the entire series was very well written, however

Overall a fun series.

There's one thing we can say about Demi - she's thankfully consistent in psychotic confident behavior until the end. While I liked all the characters and the society built in the world, I wasn't a fan of the overall plot in this final book of the trilogy. The final battle with Nix was rather lackluster, and I really hated the way that So many characters also died rather surprisingly, and I didn't feel as emotional as I had expected considering I had liked them when they were alive.

It was full of action and we got smutty scenes with all the men in the harem, but they weren't really relationship-building like in the previous books and seemed to be added just to be there.

I'd probably re-read the trilogy again, but this wasn't a very good conclusion to Demi's story.

Love, love, love this series. Honestly, the characters and the world are amazing and so far I've enjoyed every single one in this series so far. Demi is beyond kiss ass, and I just love her sass and determination. That and when the guys do something wrong, she isn't afraid to tell them just how she feels.

I really didn't want this series to end, and I'm sad that this was the last book because I could read these characters forever if given the choice. This book has a lot of action going on in it, and of course, Demi ends up holding a grudge against Mateo....again. But they wouldn't be who they were if she wasn't angry at him for something.

This series started out strong for me, but then, with each book got weaker and weaker. This last book felt like it had a lot of noise in it, with what felt like missed opportunities to go deep instead of wide. As the series went on, I found myself liking Demi, less and less.
Most frustrating of all, was the disclaimer at the beginning of the book from the author about the “steam.” Unfortunately, there was very little steam in the first book, and then most of the steam in the rest of the books was pretty basic.
All in all, I was relieved to finally finish the third book.

Ugh! I hate it when the last book of a series isn’t as good as the rest of the series. Like don’t get me wrong it was ok but I was expecting this to blow me away after book 2 but it kind of fell flat. I found myself skim reading parts of it trying to get through the unnecessarily long scenes. But oh well at least I finished it go me 👏🏻

This series started out so good to me! But this is the third book and all the relationship issues should be resolved by now so we can concentrate on the bad guys getting defeated. Im sorry I just couldn't continue when she still is acting like a brat

Blood Bound is the final book in Rory Miles’s Blood Mafia series. I’m not that sorry to see Demi go, to be honest. LOL! She’s a real trial of a character. I can deal with snarky characters but characters that are complete hypocrites? Those test my patience to the max and Demi fits that particular description to a capital “T.” But if you’ve enjoyed this series to this point then I’m sure that regardless of what Demi does…you’re going to enjoy this book.
Blood Bound picks up where Blood Taken leaves off. Demi’s parents, the people who raised her, are missing, but they aren’t the only ones. One of her vampire friends is missing, too, but Demi has more pressing issues when this book opens up. Yep, the wolves…Mateo…snapping her neck. Oops. I honestly didn’t feel bad for her. LOL! Hey, if it’s perfectly fine for her to kill the guys then turnabout is fair play. Sorry, not sorry.
Now, honestly, for a good portion of this book, I struggled to even consider rating it higher than a 3.5 or…give it one of my weirder ratings of a 3.8 or something like that. Sorry, but Demi was just THAT irritating. I can’t stand characters with double-standards, but that seems to be Demi’s MO. I really wanted her to grow up because she was acting like a really trifling child. You know the type, the one who hits you, then you hit them back, and then THEY have to hit you back because it’s “only fair.” Yeah…Demi and Mateo. Then add in the other guys stepping into side with her? Like Demi dares to complain about later in the book…what happened to loyalty? Seriously, the guys should be loyal to Mateo first and foremost. Period. Demi’s self-indulgent belief of entitlement to her anger just really irks me throughout this story. I can’t help but question…who would really want to be friends with someone like that.
Now! Is it all bad? No. The author seems to have a knack for managing to soothe my rankled fur in places with this book. Let me just say this…I cheered when Demi gets a taste of her own medicine. It’s more than a little satisfying. I will admit that the author teases a particular point in this book that clearly indicates that Demi and the guys will be back. When exactly? Don’t know, but trust me…I’m willing to bet that there will be another book…a “spin-off” series in a way. There is serious sadness with this book. A couple of heartbreaking moments that really brought some light to the characters.
I’m deciding to rate this book 4 out of 5 stars. I’m glad that the author doesn’t have Demi go on a full “murder-mode” spree in the beginning, but Demi seriously needs an attitude adjustment…more than once. It takes too long for someone to really check her and I don’t like that she’s always so quickly “forgiven.” No one learns their lesson that way. I enjoyed Nix’s addition to this story and how we get backstory about her, but I really am displeased with how the author makes Nix out to eventually be incompetent. She was on old vampire…so she should have been smarter and more wiley. I feel that the author was too intent on giving Demi her "HEA" to truly focus on creating the tension and drama that Nix truly deserved after being made to essentially be the "hunter boogeyman." This book has its good moments, but I wish that there were more because this series could have been really great.

Visceral hatred.

I feel like the author doesn’t understand the intricacies of why we read spice and wrote hers as though drafting a screenplay for a crappy video.

It’s distant, unfulfilling, and not the media we’re trying to consume. We want the story, the chemistry, the sensation, interaction, the banter, and intrigue.
Not just a passive play by play.

That’s boring and adds nothing to the story other than the ability to say it’s spicy.
If that spice is salt? Then, sure.

The rest is generally better because there’s more plot. It doesn’t make much sense and they plan literally nothing before acting, but whatever.

Evelyn gets mad at Demi because she’s mad at someone for murdering! her! biological! father! when she was a child.
And when confronted, Demi’s like, “Maybe I am being too hard on them.”
They murdered your father!!
I think that’s one of those things you’re allowed to hold a grudge about.

Revenge for such an offense is famously Inigo Montoya’s entire reason for living in the Princess Bride.
Inconceivable.

And then everyone is chastising Demi and wants her to apologize to Evelyn?
I’d scream.

It’s mostly fluff and filler, too.

Interactions between the characters that do nothing for the story except add more pages.

It’s mind boggling to witness the liberty to just write a whole bunch of nothing, while I’m reading this mess in order to procrastinate cutting 30,000 essential words from my book.

This one could probably lose double that number without making any less sense.

It’s like a fever dream mixture of ‘what the hell’ and ‘why the hell not.’
I lost count of how many times I almost DNF’d.

I skimmed most of the end.
The spice genuinely sucks.
They only touch her to get her ready for their handful of thrusts.
Give me a breakkkk.

I’m really disappointed, but at this point, unfortunately wasn’t surprised.

The grande finale to a more than a little stabby series.
Demi seems to have finally found her place, but the road to any happy end is still long and difficult. Especially with certain trust issues on all sides, political games, and the hunger for vengeance from an enemy she had no clue about. Now it's time to kick some ass, though.
All in all, I enjoyed the book and the series, Demi was a fun character with all her rage issues and violent behavior, however with some warmth in her heart when it comes to people she cares for. I also enjoyed the banter between her and her vampire mates. What disappointed me a bit was the plot development in this book. The climax scene with Nix that should have been epic felt flat, some of the characters were dying suddenly yet without having the desired emotional response in me as an invested reader, and the pact with the demon felt a bit like it belongs to a completely different book. Sometimes even with the relationships between Demi and her men it was jumpy and without natural development. However I liked how they came together in the end, also with Lexi and Demi's parents. Bonus points for the added scenes at the end :)

"The road to Hell is cheaply paved and has a few potholes."

F*ck me, this CANNOT be the end of the road with Demi and the Blood Mafia!!!!! There are too many things which I still NEED to know, too many ends left untied.

Read this series. Not because I tell you to, or because Rory Miles wants you to, but because this is seriously one of the VERY BEST series I've read in years. There is an incredible balance to the storyline. There is the right mix of love and hate, sincerity and snark, fear and courage, support and betrayal. These characters have passions, problems, weaknesses and strength of character. The in-mind movie that plays while I read is not the typical two dimension distraction, but rapidly develops into a front row seat at a Broadway show.

This series is going into my bookcase. Demi's story transcends Kindle and demands to be appreciated in paper and ink. And I'm leaving a space open, Rory Miles... you know why!

Ahh I am dying!! This book was so amazing and extra stabby!! I cried a little bit for some characters in the book and I feel like Demi really grew as a person by the end of this book. She is put through the ringer emotionally and doesn't like how Mateo doesn't trust her but along the way finds herself not trusting anyone no matter what they have done to prove otherwise. While this book brings a lot of sadness there are also some really great bonding scenes between Demi and her men.

I am so sad to see this series end but I feel like this won't be the last we see of Demi and Blood Mafia.

Overall this series was a great read and I love what Rory did with it. Demi is such a bada** and has a lot of sass but she is also growing and learning about herself as she goes. I absolutely loved getting to see a little insight to Demi growing up, that chapter was a bittersweet goodbye. I cannot wait to see what Rory does next!!
