Georgia left home after high school to see the great big world, but she's back home now. Big cities and global travel were fun, but there's no place like home. It's her first Christmas since moving back to Pineridge Falls, and she's busy as a beaver trying to get her new bakery off the ground. Since Craig met Georgia in New York City, she's never been far from his mind. A weekend in Paris, passionate trysts wherever they could slip away from their demanding bosses, and hours of long-distance video calls. He's fallen madly in love. But Georgia's had enough of the globetrotting life, and she doesn't believe Craig is ready to leave it behind to be with her. Can Craig convince her that he's ready to be her man? He's got to get through a Christmas obstacle course of carnivals, cookie contests, broken arms, and hotel mix-ups before that can happen, but he's got something special waiting for Georgia underneath the forever.
Georgia and Craig - The ring was underneath the Christmas Tree
This was a long book but very fulfilling. I enjoyed the characters and their narration of their lives and even their thoughts. Craig and Georgia had met each other while he was working for Chris and she was working for a chef and they both were traveling to different countries and who meet. When Georgia wanted more of a commitment, Craig wasn’t sure what to do and several months had lapsed. Georgia had left Cihicgo and moved back to Pineridge Falls. Craig quit his job and relocated to Pineridge, without Georgia knowing the details until Christmas Eve night when he asked her to marry him. She said yes. Her parents surprised her, Craig had asked them to set up the bakery for their dinner so the parents got to witness the proposal. They were very happy for them.
Craig initially in this book recommended by Unique words,LLC expecting her to wait until he figured out what he really wanted to happen between him and GEORGIA after spending time which each other over and over. When he finally makes time its too late and he blames her for ghosting on him. Really!!! Craig gets a reality check when it is brought to him on who really did the ghosting! In underneath the tree a beautiful book of rekindled love that this author did make Georgia cave as soon as she saw him but she made him work a little to get back in her good graces and that is what makes this book so worth reading. You will definitely go wow at the ending. Let me know if you realize what part was a wow moment for me.
Craig is such a sweetheart,I knew how efficient he was when he was working for Chris, and we all know how difficult and demanding Chris can be. But, I know him up close and personal... he is a wholesome next door handsome guy. I am glad he got his woman back. And with his knowledge and efficiency Georgia’s bakery can reach far and beyond the little town. Craig and Georgia are going to make gorgeous babies. sweet read !! This book was such a pleasure to read!! I loved how Craig, from the beginning to the end, spared no expense to get Georgia back. The chemistry and love between these two characters was so palpable at times I felt like a nosey woman all up in their business. Lol. This book was that good! I cannot complain about anything. If there were any grammatical errors or typos I didn't care. The book was fantastic with or without them. This is the first book I've read by this author. But definitely not the last. Sooo worth 5⭐'s.
This 📕 is a bit of a crossover with the Ebony Ivory Harmony trilogy, featuring Craig, who is Chris's Admin Asst. The two men could not be more different, yet equally exciting😍Craig is like a warm sweet slice of decadently delish apple pie with ice cream & Georgia is just the sweetest cinnamon roll! Go ahead & treat yourself to this slice of romance book heaven🍰🍷You'll thank me later😘
At least it is for Georgia & Craig. Love is found in some of the most unexpected places & of course during some of the most inconvenient times. Reading the unfolding of this love story was beautiful & very apropos of the season. A wonderful read recommended by UniqueWords, LLC.
Ms Skeete is very versatile. I've read 3 of her books thus far (this one includes) and I must say I greatly enjoyed each of them. It is also clear that she does not pigeon hole her writing. This is a great small town romance with mention of other characters. I hope that her next one is about Chief and Alisha.
