I'm sorry but this is a screwed up manga. Beautifully drawn and the author is going against the typical trope but still I did not know what my heart wanted in the end.

I never cried so much while reading a book.
"Everytime I read the letter he writes at the end for Yan Yan" My heart breaks a little more.
did I wanted her to end up with Fu shen YES, desperately so!!
But I do understand the importance of having such an ending. For it could have never been justified with a HEA, that would simply be lost in sea of many.
In fact I am grateful for an author who stood up against such ideology of *falling in love with your abuser .
Cos Nowadays we getting a little too comfortable with idea such as that. So the "voice of sense" is always heartily welcomed.
Side note: I took so much breaks in between just so I could rest my heart a while. The constant heartbreaks ever chapter provided were too much of a heartburn. Not to forget, that I still haven't completed the book. But, those who have read this book already knows, that it's of no help really.

Spoilers ahead
He Yan is a teacher. One night she stops to help a man who appears to need help (you can already tell it's about to be some Ted Bundy shit). So yeah, a bunch of the guys kidnaps her and I think they plan on killing her, but one of the guys is like, "uh, you guys, I haven't had sex in like a really long time, so um, yeah I'm gonna f**8 her before you guys murder her" and the rest of the guys are like, "chill" so yeah he brings her into her car and does his whatever, but she stabs him, and he dies.
Fast forward a couple of years later. The guy who tried to murder her is in jail. SUPPOSEDLY. All of a sudden a guy who looks like the guy who tried to kill her shows up at her job and she's like, "shit, it's that dude that tried to murder me!!!" and she goes to the police, but then the detective who's on her case gets in an "accident." The guy (Fu Shen Xing) keeps finding ways to see her and he tapes a video of her getting freaken *gang-raped* and threatens to release the video if she ever tells anyone about his true identity. (Also he threatens to murder her family). Also, I think he knows that she murdered that guy who tried to rape her all those years ago and has pictures of that too.
Fu Shen Xing basically makes her spend time with him and come out to all these party's and have sex with all these really gross guys, he literally makes her be a prostitute and she can't refuse because if she does, he's gonna kill her husband. (oh yeah, He Yan is also married).
Eventually, Fu Shen Xing's like, "uh yeah, you're mine, no one else is touching you anymore" and he stops pimping her out, but he also makes her get a divorce with her husband. OH YEAH, when her husband finds out about all this stuff, he tries to punch Fu Shen Xing in the face, and Fu Shen Xing cuts off his finger and throws it into oncoming traffic.
There's some other stuff that happens, I think at one point He Yan tries to get Fu Shen Xing's fingerprints to prove that he and that guy who tried to murder her are the same person. And there's a bunch of other drama, the whole time Fu Shen Xing and He Yan are both threatening to murder each other and stuff. "I'm gonna kill you," "No, I'm gonna kill YOU." Blah Blah Blah.
Eventually, He Yan tries to kill herself (I mean, can you blame her) and after this happens, Fu Shen Xing's like, "please be my girlfriend, I promise I'll never be mean to you again, I didn't realize how much I loved you before" and she's like, "o k a y." (I mean, tbf, her only other option is all of her family members getting murdered, so-).
There's a period when Fu Shen Xing and He Yan genuinely seem happy together but then we find out that He Yan has been colluding with her ex-husband to escape Fu Shen Xing and they both poison him and run off together. The story is ongoing, so this is as far as we've gotten.
I have to say, I loved all the drama, but I had really mixed feelings about Ye Han and Fu Shen Xing's relationship. I mean... as the story progressed I think they really came to have feelings for each other and I know I'm supposed to be rooting for Fu Shen Xing or whatever because he's obviously the hottest male character, but in the back of my mind I just couldn't help thinking about all of the horrible crap he did to He Yan. Like making her a prostitute/watching her get gang-raped and blackmailing her with videos of it, not to mention constantly threatening to murder her family if she didn't do everything he asked.
Overall, GREAT romance drama, I can't wait to see what happens next, maybe I'll add another update once they post the next chapters.

This was DARK. The fact all this happend because she wanted to help someone is just insane. Kudos to the author for not going the usual path by making the FL not succumb to Stockholm syndrome. I loved her revenge, it was so satisfying to see him die in regret.
He yan gotta be one of the most strongest FLs I’ve ever read. The stuff she went through was just…..no words. As much I hate Fu Zheng xin, I gotta give it to the author for making him such a dimensional character. He was a despicable bastard but he was a well written despicable bastard.

ياااااربي! ما هذا الأستفزاز! ما حرق الدم هذا !! أعصابي انهارت وتبعثرت بعد قراءة هذه "المانجا" أو "المانهوا"..الله يحرق "الواتباد" الذي يعرفني علي مثل هذه القصص المستفزة الفظيعة..
بدأت سهرتي عندما عثرت علي هذه "المانهوا" بالصدفة وأنا أتفقد حسابي علي "الواتباد"..لفت العنوان انتباهي "Who is The prey" "من هي الفريسة؟" وبدأت قراءة في الحادية عشرة مساءاً وانتهيت منها لتوي دون أن أتحرك من مكاني للحظة واحدة..البيت كله خلد للنوم فجأة هكذا وأنا لا أشعر بالوقت إطلاقاً وأجلس جاحظة العينين أكتب مراجعتي في الظلام الحالك وأنا مذهولة مما قرأت..هي قصة خرجت منها بالكثير من الله يحرق الصين "مش كفاية طلعت علينا الكورونا!؟"..هي قصة خرجت منها بالكثير من يا ولاد الكااااالب..آسفه ولكن أنا حقاً في أشد حالات انهيار الأعصاب..فهي كما قال أحدهم في التعليقات أكثر مانجا سوداوية قد تقرأها في حياتك، وقد تروق كثيراً للمرضي النفسيين المصابين بمتلازمة "ستوكهولم"..
سأحكي القصة لأنك لن تجدها في أي مكان كاملة، ومن ثم لأنني أريد ذلك حتي أفرغ شحنة غضبي.
تبدأ القصة بشخصية "هي يان"، الفتاة الشابة الناجحة في عملها كأستاذة وهي متزوجة من ألطف رجل علي وجه الكرة الأرضية "ليانغ يوان زي"، ومن أجل عيون "يوان زي" قيمت القصة بثلاث نجوم فهو ياربي جنتل أحلي شخصية خيالية رأيتها في قصة لقد وقعت في حبه من المشهد الأول! المهم أن بطلتنا "هي يان" تتعرض لحادث مريع قبل أربع سنوات من أحداث القصة بأن تقم جماعة من البلطجية بالأعتداء عليها فتقتل أحدهم دفاعاً عن نفسها ويتم إعدام الزعيم..ذلك الرجل ذي الشعر الرمادي الذي سبب لها كل الرعب والخوف حينها..
وفي يوم هادئ في عملها تري شخصاً يُدعي "فو شين شينغ" وهو رجل أعمال كبير..ولكن ليست تلك هي المشكلة، أن "فو شين شينغ" يشبه ذلك الزعيم ذي الشعر الرمادي الذي تم إعدامه منذ أربعة سنوات..يصيبها الذعر طبعاً وتهرع الي حبيبها وزوجها "يوان زي" الحب ويحاول تهدئتها ومن ثم الأتصال بالضابط المسئول عن القضية ليكتشفا أن الضابط توفي في نفس ذات اليوم في حادث سيارة سنكتشف أنه مدبر بالطبع.
طبعاً الي هنا لم يحدث أي شئ مثير للجنون ، ودون عرض المزيد من التفاصيل فأن رجل الأعمال يحاول توطيد العلاقة مع "هي يان" حتي تطمئن نوعاً أنه ليس الزعيم الذي تم إعدامه..ولكن بطريقة درامية لن أذكرها سيكشف مستر "فو" عن هويته الحقيقية..ليبدأ انتقامه!
وهنا يأتي تلف الأعصاب!! ياله من انتقام مروع! أن "هي يان" قد عاشت الجحيم بعينه..هو جعل منها عاهرة يتحكم فيها في الوقت الذي يريده كما أنه مسك عليها ذلة أيضاً حتي لا تتواصل مع الشرطة أو تقول لزوجها..وكم كنت أتألم من أجل المسكين "يوان زي" الذي لا يعرف شيئاً!! كان شيئاً يحرق الدم كنت أريد أن أقتل هذا اللعين فو عليه كل لعنات الأرض!!
وهنا تنتهي الترجمة العربية علي الواتباد ولكني لم أستطع الأنتظار حتي يتم ترجمة الباقي فذهبت الي الجوجل وعثرت علي باقي الفصول بالأنجليزية..في ليلة رأس السنة ستقضي "هي يان" لحظات مؤثرة بديعة مع "يوان زي" ولكن في اللحظة الأخيرة يفسد "فو شين شينغ" الملعون كل هذه الشاعرية..في هذا الفصل قد تشعر أن "فو" قد بدأ يحب "هي يان" ويغير عليها من زوجها وإذا حدث والكاتب قد جن في عقله وهو يكتب القصة وجعل "هي يان" تحب "فو" بعد كل هذه السادية والتعذيب والقرف والذل والأهانة لكنت قيمت الرواية بصفررررر نجمة ولكن حمداً لله هذا لم يحدث..
وفي ليلة رأس السنة المشئومة يكتشف الزوج المسكين ماذا حل بزوجته فيندفع كالأعمي وهو يظن أنه بإمكانه مجرد خدش المبجل "فو شين شينغ"..ولكن المسكين "يوان" يتم تعذيبه بل وقطع أصبعه..دموعي دموعي لا تنهمري رجاءاً..انتقام !! انتقام بشع! حياة جحيمية..
من ثم يحدث الطلاق والفراق بين الحبيبين لأن مستر "فو" خيّر بطلتنا بين الطلاق وبين قتل "يوان"..وهنا أيضاً كان مشهداً قاسياً يوضح آلم الفراق..عليك اللعنة أيها الكاتب عليك اللعنة لماذا تفعل ذلك أنا قلبي تحطم لمئات القطع !
ولكن بعد هذا الطلاق تبدأ "هي يان" في الأعداد لأنتقامها الخاص! فتتواصل مع والدة الضابط المقتول وتعرف بضعة معلومات هامة، كما تحصل علي بصمة الزعيم الذي من المفترض تم إعدامه ويتوجب عليها الآن أن تطابقها مع بصمات "فو" لأثبات أنهما نفس الشخص.
ومن هنا تنتهي الترجمة الأنجليزية..ولكني لم أصمت ودخلت علي موقع Reddit واستطعت بمعجزة الحصول علي الفصلين الآخيرين، فصل 39 وفصل 40.
والحمد لله الحمد لله مات ذي الشعر الرمادي..وأقسم أنني كنت أرقص فرحاً من مكاني ما أن رأيته يموت وكأنني أنا من انتقم منه..وأن أشفقت عليه بصراحة في المشهد الأخير وهذه هي سخرية القدر، الكاتب كان يتلاعب بمشاعري عليه اللعنة..

وآخر شئ هو أن "فو" المزيف أصلاً هو أخ غير شرعي ل "فو" الحقيقي الذي تم إعدامه بدلاً منه لأن الحقيقي كان مصاباً بمرض عضال وهو هكذا ميت ميت فقررت العائلة أن تقوم بهذا التبديل..ومن ثم تم آخذ الأخ الغير شرعي البلطجي وتلميعه وإجراء بعض عمليات التجميل له حتي أصبح رجل الأعمال الجبروت..
"هي يان" ردت الصاع صاعين فالذي حدث لها لم يكن هيناً ونجحت في انتقامها ودمرت العائلة بإكملها وانتقمت من أجل زوجها أيضاً بأن طعنت الشخص الذي قطع أصبع زوجها في منتصف يده..ولكن الغريب كما أقول هو أنني تساءلت بعد إنهاء الرواية WHO IS THE PREY REALLY !! يعني من الفريسة هنا! وكأنني تعاطفت قليلا مع صاحب الشعر الرمادي ولكنه يظل ملعون..وتظل قصة سوداوية بأنتقام لم أسمع بأبشع منه ولقد تلفت أعصابي حقاً حقاً..
ولأول مرة في حياتي وربما الأخيرة التي لا أحب فيها الشخصية الشريرة ولكن انتقامه كان رهيباً، رغم أن الرسمة أيضاً كانت مدهشة مدهشة رجل جذاب وسيم بملابس أنيقة إلا أنني كرهته أكثر من كراهيتي للمعشوقة عليها لعنة الله..وعلي النقيض فأن رسمة "يوان زي" بشعره البني كان بها شئ من اللطافة التي لا تقاوم..وجعلتني أتحسر أنني لن أقابل في حياتي "يوان زي" أبداً أبداً..

ولأول مرة في حياتي وربما الأخيرة التي لا أحب فيها الشخصية الشريرة ولكن انتقامه كان رهيباً، رغم أن الرسمة أيضاً كانت مدهشة مدهشة رجل جذاب وسيم بملابس أنيقة إلا أنني كرهته أكثر من كراهيتي للمعشوقة عليها لعنة الله..وعلي النقيض فأن رسمة "يوان زي" بشعره البني كان بها شئ من اللطافة التي لا تقاوم..وجعلتني أتحسر أنني لن أقابل في حياتي "يوان زي" أبداً أبداً..

This story is about a guy who come to revenge on a girl who was a victim of him in the past. Ruining one perfect life and broke it into a big ugly mess, luckily the woman really a strong person, although sometimes I feel like her indifferent really inhuman too but I fucking love her. She by far the most strongest character ever I read. Her character is clever and persistent throughout the story unlike those who strong in front but eventually breaks and weak. The MC guy, the one seeking revenge is an evil and manipulated character. This start of revenge to love story which I still think its more like an obsession.
The plot lines although fresh and new, its still cliche and maybe that's why I really can see this playing in my head as if I'm watching it, it was very dramatic. I'm addicted to this toxic relationship but I'm disappointing at how this end. Honestly I also don't know what kind of ending I want, all I know this left me flabbergasted.
This was originally a china novel that went viral last year and turn into manhwa. Not for weak hearted.

I read this pretty quickly in a few hours because I could not put it down. It was very disturbing and definitely dark. At some points I felt so sick I thought I was going to puke.
I love the fl so much and she’s seriously so strong and smart. she never gave up.
The ending which I couldn’t find anywhere so I had to read it super poorly translated and bad quality was very bad and confusing to me. I wish the ending was a little different but overall the author did a good job at this story and the plot.

This manga absolutely enrages me but at the same time so interesting. The guy is an absolutely asshole and it’s not a romance by any means. He’s so crazy and torments the main girl but I’m still reading because I want to see how she gets her revenge on her. It’s a great plot but some content is very tw worthy and if you’re prone to that stuff you should proceed with caution. Reminder it’s NOT a romance so do not romanticize anything he’s doing! It’s more of an action drama if I had to give it a category. Nonetheless it’s a great read.

I'm in love with this novel. It's definitely not a romance or toxic relationship but it's merely about revenge. Since the manhwa stops halfway, i try to watch the drama instead titled "The Confidence" and now I started to read the novel because they change quite a lot of plot in the drama.

This story is not for everyone as this has a lot of trigger warning. I love how the creator decided to portray the toxic relationship and show the lengths that an obsessed person will do just for the person that they are obsessed with.

ABSOLUTE BANGER. I READ THIS SERIES IN A DAY BECAUSE I COULDNT PUT IT DOWN. I will say….. definitely some sensitive topics so not for everyone but it was definitelyyyyy for me.
