🔹ARC kindly provided from the author for an honest review.🔹

3.75 stars

The fact that even Trident could feel his own cringe whenever he winked to Zara made my day😂

Zara was probably one of the characters I can relate to the most. Her ethics just spoke to me.
She seemed “adult” and responsible. No “damsel” for this woman👏 I do love that in my characters.

It was quite a simple traditional story(with dragon demigods, but still😂) , and I have to say I really enjoyed the classic setting.
Sometimes things just have to be “non-fancy”, because sometimes that is more magical.

Blandest one in the series.

Such a big disappointment! Trident was a side character from the very first book and I had such high hopes and anticipation for his story.

The couple had no chemistry. Every interaction they had was so clinical. The plot was extremely boring as well, very predictable and silly in parts.

Again, I’m extremely disappointed this instalment didn’t turn out better.

Lord of Tears
The Dragon Demigods Series #8

𝗕𝗹𝘂𝗿𝗯

Book 8 in this exciting new world. If you like dragons and egotistical, super-sexy demigods, then this is the series for you.

I am Trident, son of Poseidon and this is my story…

No cheating! Contains hot alpha males and therefore, strong sexual themes/language.

𝗠𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄

Will the rules they established or the secrets they conceal keep them apart ...

Sometimes it is good to go in blind, when you already know that the author could not really disappoint.
So with this one line as the blurb, I happily jumped in Trident’s story, and definitely it was not something I did expect.
I am bad at remembering name, I do not know if it is my dyslexia or a laziness of my mind, but I do not always remember all the characters in a series.
I remember of him like the jerk who slept with many women what ever was going around him. He was not someone I was longing to meet.
Why this story took me by surprise.

Oh Trident does not change in a seconde, but now he has a new business striving, he witnesses firsthand how his careless attitude with his one night stands is cause of relentless stalking from his one night conquests.
So for the first time he will gave a look in the mirror and he will not like what he will see.
It is good to enjoy a thoughtless sex life but when it comes back with a violence to your face, you must confront yourself and your deeds.
Zara is in a dire situation and if she does not change her circumstances soon, it will be getting worse and worse. She is a gentle and considerate soul, she always thinks about the others first. Thus how she got herself trapped in her present issue. And with her best friend’s help she lands an interview for a job’s offer at Trident’s place of affair.

They meet under work justification, so they get to know one another. So under her scrutiny, he acknowledges his many mistakes and decides to clean his attitude. Yet is it only for his business’ image or because this woman working for him makes him rethink everything he believed about love.

I loved their romance, it evolved at the right pace, no one is jumping the other in an instant, they just get to learn the other before trusting it. It is a working relationship that moves to a friendship first. They test the other’s rightfulness and sturdiness before being able to rely upon the other.
5 stars

𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 onscreen detailed lovemaking scenes.

I have been granted an advance copy by the author, here is my true and unbiased opinion.

He’s the Lord of Tears😭

The demigod’s story I’ve been waiting for❣️ Trident as we know throughout this series has emphatically proclaimed that he will be single forever. When he opens a new restaurant and his sister, Claudia, suggests she has just the person to take over managing his restaurant - he goes with it😁

Zara needs a new start and when her bestie suggests putting her name forward to manage a new restaurant that her brother, Trident owns. She goes in for an interview. Neither could’ve been prepared for what would happen or how their lives would become so intertwined with the others😍

This story was fantastic and I have to admit Trident won me over even more with his personality and humour and I also liked Zara, she was absolutely perfect for Tri 🔱 I received an advanced copy and willingly leave my honest review❤️ Up next.....I’m not spilling the beans😳

Lord of Tears is the eighth delicious book in The Dragon Demigods series. Sexy Demigod shifters who have sworn to a life alone. That is until unsuspecting women in need fall on their radar. But there are dramas along the way. A fun and angsty journey starts.

While each book can be enjoyed as a standalone, it's best to read them in order to fully appreciate the rich paranormal elements and exciting themes they offer.

The characters are fun and loving, but they discover more than they ever imagined.

Strong, sexy alpha males!

*I received an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.*

I have been looking forward to Tridents story since I started this series. So.. 7 books ago? Let me point out that I'm the WORST at finishing series. Usually I start one and quit by book 3 or 4. They all start to blur together. This is soooo not the case here. The character are hilarious and unique. The story-telling is imaginative and fun. The romance is off the charts. Plus the entire idea of dragon demigods is wonderful.

So.. trident. The fun-loving man-whore who's just looking for a good time. I couldn't WAIT to read about the girl who finally brought him to his knees. And this soooo did not disappoint. I won't get into spoilers but let's just say there was a plot twist I *so* did not see coming and it was absolutely lovely. Trident showed so much depth I wasn't expecting while still staying true to himself. The FMC was wonderful and fun to read. And as per usual I'm absolutely itching for the next book. I'm guessing it will be Death's book which is 😍😍 because I've been kind of a little in love with him since he was introduced

Anyways. I think Bolt is still my fave of all the guys but this installment comes in at a close second. I really need to start a reread of this series bc I can't stop loving it. It's like romance crack. I may make a shelf just for Charlene's books labeled as such 😂😂 I JUST CANT STOP.

You won't be disappointed if you have been anxious like I have for Trident's story.

Well, well, well . . . Our Trident finally meets his match. Our loveable manwhore has made appearances in all of the previous books in this series, and finally, this is his story. Zara is down on her luck and miraculously lands a job working as the general manager for Trident’s new upscale restaurant. But she’s hiding something. But not for long, everyone will know soon enough. In the meantime, Trident is fighting these new feelings that he’s experiencing.

I enjoyed this book, although not as much as some of the others in this series. The characters are well defined. Although we’ve had several books to become acquainted with Trident. A few of the other demi-gods make an appearance as well; Rage, Bolt and Death (his book is next!).

I also like our heroine, Zara. She did start out as a no nonsense, focused business woman. I think that’s why Trident became infatuated with her. She was focused, and competent, on her job and didn’t come on to him. She came across as indifferent, something he’s definitely not used to. There is some drama with an ex-boyfriend but nothing a son of Poseidon can’t handle.

I do recommend this book, and the series as a whole. Of course Ms. Hartnady always knows what she’s doing.

Watching (or reading rather) Trident fall in love was phenomenal. This ladies man is absolutely The Lord of Tears , for more then one reason. However every God has a weakness and Tri has met his. A delicious smelling human, who’s scent he can’t place. Beyond that she’s also his new restaurant manager. Zara. The name Zara has many meanings my favorite being radiance. That’s exactly what Zara adds to Tridents life an illuminating brightness.

Zara is hiding a secret that she hopes won’t get out for fear of losing her job. After coming off a rough few years she needs this job more then ever. Beyond that she is caring and a strong woman. Charlene always gives amazing heroines so that’s really no surprise.

I have to say I was excited for Tri’s story there was suspense with what it would be about. But also he was a womanizer and I couldn’t wait to meet the woman that changed him. Many plot twists that I wasn’t expecting. Also a few snippets of the other guys and their mates, which is always welcome (side note I miss Forge😩)❗️ Now I’m even more ecstatic for Death’s happy ever after.

Another wonderful addition to this enjoyable series
Trident is a true larger than life character that knows he is attractive and women love him and he will love any woman he has a chance to say yes to, he is a real lover at every chance he has available to him and that is no lie!
Zara is a wonderful character to read it is easy to associate with her because she is a truly interesting female, she is determined and although at time the story really does build her up learn all about her and why they are together and what they hope for.

I do not want to spoil the plot and I must say that you will be totally blown awy by this book and will find it almost impossible to put it down till you reach the end and discover the final outcome.
I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

Operator's Merman

This is a fun story, but it takes a bit to get past the setting and situations and into the Romance... which is kinda different as he clearly really likes pregnant Zara. I was slightly disappointed that as a son of Posieden Trident(love his name) doesn't have his own yacht or at least a boat... it would have been great fun if the kill scene had been drowning too, so he could have used his God powers a few times during his story. Alas his story had some similarity to Rage's in it takes place entirely on land. He does use his water powers once in the story but its in an apartment and it is kinda an afterthought in the story... I liked the story, it has funny and exciting parts but I was hoping for a little more WATER with Posieden's son. A beach house , yacht, or house by a lake at least. Oh well.

Dragon Shifter series. Author threw in a side of “Demi-god” for spice. Book hero’s personalities took on aspects based after their “Greek god” fathers. Can’t say that really added much for me personally.

Book 1. (4⭐️) Forge (Son of Hephaestus. God of fire) & Ava (down on her luck running from crime boss.)
Book 2. (3⭐️)Night (Son of Hades. God of Underworld.) & Shannon, tortured soul/ recovering AA.
Book 3. (2⭐️) Little Lords - book follows pregnancies of book 1 & 2 couples. Odd read. I found that it lacked a true plot payoff. And the overlap with book 4 threw me.
Book 4. (3.5 ⭐️) Lyre (Son of Apollo) Morgan supernatural PI
Book 5. (3 ⭐️) Bolt (Son of Zeus) & Ashley Bakery Chef
Book 6. (2.5 ⭐️) Jarrod (Son of Janus) and Raven another dragon shifter
Book 7. (2.5 ⭐️) Rage (Son of Ares) and Nia a hellhound.
Book 8. (2.5 ⭐️) Trident (Son of Poseidon) & Zara restaurant manager

loved the book but that cover is a serious misfire

I don’t like the cover, he looks nothing like the description in the books. His face alone is not a face all women would go nuts over. I always imagined him more somewhere between Night and Bolt. Also, so far I’ve never had difficulty reading the titles. This time I first read it as Lord of iFars. But that made no sense. Then I thought it said Fears. So I wondered if this book would be about Jarrod or Sam for some reason. I never expected it to say tears and then link it to Trident.
It was only halfway the book I finally got the title.

But none of this has anything to do with the quality of the book. Just as always 5 stars. I love Charlene Hartnady’s books.

Can Trident change his ways?

Trident is the ultimate love em and leave em type. He doesn't date. He has one night stands. The women try for a second date thinking they will be the one to change him but it never happens. He says that he will never settle down like his friends. Well......never say never.
Zara is a friend of Trident's sister Claudia. She needs a job and Tri needs a manager at his new restaurant. She left her old job due to a personal mistake, which she tells Tri about. But she has another secret.
Read to find out what happens in the exciting book! I love this author to pieces!

I think this may well be my favourite in this series!

Absolutely loved Trident and Zara is a strong, determined, generous and big-hearted woman who brings out the best in him.

A slow burn takes the romance to an delicious climax and heartwarming ending. The interaction between the characters is believable and entertaining and the glimpses into Death are titillating to say the least! Can’t wait for his story.

All in all I thoroughly enjoyed this book!

I am enjoying these Demigods

I am really enjoying this series. I have to say I am surprised by Trident’s change in perspective in this book. He is so serious about his restaurant. It is like a brand new more mature Trident. I was glad to find out he has siblings. Claudia is just fun. I do like Zarra and her dad too. I am a fan of Death too. I wished for all the guys and mates to be in this book, so I was disappointed on that point. Still enjoyed the story and series. Read On!

OMG!!!

Oh wow loved Trident and Zara story, I know Trident was a goner when he saw Sara. Fate has a weird way to bring to destined people together. Just think they met a few times before but not really if that make sense. Zara was always shy around him when he visits his sister Claudia, so that's why I said they never really met..anyway all is right as rein..that demented Will is something else, glad he's out of the picture all together. Loved it, so looking forward to Death story and it's going to be interesting getting rid of that damn demon..big fan as always🤗💞.

Thoroughly good read

Another great book in this series, everyone loves Trident he is sexy he is smooth well built in every way he is good looking also kind and thoughtful but is a bit of a manwhore women just love him they fall into his bed without any effort from him. When Zara comes looking for a job he doesn't know what hits him everything is complicated because she is hiding a big secret. It's a great read with hot as fire chemistry between these two and plenty of happenings to keep the interest going.

Oh wow!
Trident has always been exuberant throughout the series. But, reading about him has been a delight. He is a demigod with so much depth, so much love which he shares unconditionally.
Zara, is a strong woman. Their love story is beautiful. How they come together and stay together. It's a full circle in Titan's life.

I received an advanced copy from the author for my honest review. A must read series.

Trident is just so swoonworthy and yummy! Another good time by Hartnady. If you're a fan of any of her previous books, you'll enjoy this one. If you're new, go back to book 1, read all of them, then read everything else she's written! All sorts of delicious supernatural hunks and super sexy times. She is one of my favourite authors and I devour her books. I eagerly await Death's story!

Trident’s turn

I can’t believe this is the eighth book in the series & it is as good as the first one.
I really enjoyed Trident who is the son of Poseidon & has been in previous books. Zara is a breath of fresh air & up to the challenge of Trident’s charming ways. The dialogue was snappy & just funny at times with a storyline that flowed so well.
I can’t wait for the next one of these hot hot hot Demi gods!

Love it

The book was good. Trident was so sweet. He just needed the right woman to show him the way. It really helped that she tried to make it look like she was not interested. It helped put Trident in a better set of mind. Two thumbs up. Male sure though you read the other books first because it really helps bring this story to life. I can't wait to read the last book any death. He has always been the most interesting person in the series.

Great read but….

It’s just really hard to believe a player like Trident up and stops sleeping around without putting up a fight. I get it, it’s fiction and he’s a dragon demigod, but he’s still a guy. They don’t usually switch gears this fast. But it was a great read. I love all the guys and their significant others are awesome women. Looking forward to reading the next one.
