So atmospheric. Definitely a slow burn that some might not stick out but the vivid locale is amazing, worth it and i very much loved this one.

Charlotte Link, erinnern.

Well, I have been a fan of Jane Harper's books since her first one, so it was an easy decision to order The Survivors from my local bookstore. I have to say that although I gave it a 5 star, that it took me a while to get in to this one. But once it grabbed my interest (from somewhere midway to the first hundred pages) I couldn't put it down. Ms. Harper has a way of drawing you in so that you feel the anxieties and emotions in the characters so clearly that you are practically praying that it is no one you know who has caused the heartbreaking moments in the story. Brilliant work on grief and change and friendships and the turmoil of family during tough times. Heartbreaking and brilliant twist.

I enjoyed this book overall. I liked the characters and found them to be easy to remember, all having distinct characteristics that made them stand out. I felt at times some of the characters could have been used a bit more, like Ash, or Olivia, or Liam, who seemed to disappear mid-way through the book. I also found at times the book could be a tad dry, but the set up for the ending was definitely worth it!!

enjoyable read, took a while to get into it, but about 1/3 way in it picked up. Set in Australia about a tragedy in caves at the seaside, years ago, and in the present when another girl goes missing. Making the locals ask questions and revisit the past. All questions do get answered with a few good twists along the way.

It was a great mystery and great build up for the final reveal! I thought it would be one character, yet the author did a great job of giving the story that in a way you could almost figure it out! I really enjoyed reading this, I wasn’t sure what to expect. My expectations were blown away!

This is my third book by Jane Harper. I love how she captivates the reader with description of the Australian coastline. I really enjoyed the complex characters, however I felt that the ending was abrupt and came out of almost no where.

The ending is very well done...but its tedious reading about “hard to remember who is who” characters...liked earlier ones much better..

I felt the mystery to be the best part but I also thought it was tooo dragged out. I like books that end “happily ever after” and this one left me with a dark feeling:(

A great murder mystery novel. Plot twists to the end of the book. It took me a while understand all the characters and how they related to each other. But really enjoyed the book.
