Hood Love On Christmas
Your favorite Miami couple is back! Jah and Antonia return for a quick update to let you know what’s been up with them. Five years have passed since we’ve heard from them, and a lot has changed since then. Jah and Antonia share a marriage that is still beautiful and goals for pretty much everyone. The only drama in their lives now comes from their children. PJ is fourteen, and overall, he’s a pretty good kid, but we all know how teenage boys can be. Then, there’s Tori, who’s eight and just as spoiled as she can be. There’s Jahiem III, also known as Tripp, and he’s a mommy’s boy. Enjoy this holiday update of the crew as they navigate Christmas in the middle of a global pandemic, just like the rest of the world.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4-Star Review
Just like the previous spin-off, I’m giving this one 4 stars for the same main reason: the missing bridge book. There are still moments where I felt a little out of the loop because so much clearly happened in Christmas in Miami: Antonia & Jaheim, and not being able to easily access that story makes certain timeline details feel slightly disjointed. Since I love this whole universe and re-read it often, I really wish I could experience everything in perfect order.
That said, I truly loved getting this update on Jah, Antonia, and the family. It felt like catching up with people I’ve known forever. Seeing them married, settled, and raising their kids was honestly one of my favorite parts, and I enjoyed every second of it. I can’t get enough of these characters.
Now little PJ being 14 and already having a pregnancy scare?! I was not ready for that at all. That definitely had me clutching my chest like sir… slow down! But it added that realistic, chaotic teenage energy that made the story feel current and alive.
One thing that did throw me off a bit was the kids’ ages. Milan being listed as 5 while her siblings were 4 didn’t seem to line up with what we saw in the Get Me Right Again series. If I remember correctly, she was already close to 3 (or at least 3) when Sheniqua was pregnant with the twins and Tori was about 4. Based on that timeline, she should’ve been closer to 7 here. I try not to let details like that ruin the reading experience, but I always note it because this review is about my experience, and it definitely stood out to me.
Even with those timeline hiccups, I loved this holiday check-in. Seeing how far Jah and Antonia have come, watching their kids grow up, and getting that glimpse into their everyday life made this feel warm, nostalgic, and satisfying.
This re-read reminded me just how much I enjoy this author’s storytelling. My next plan is to start from the very beginning of her catalog and read straight through to the end. I already noticed everything isn’t listed on FantasticFiction.com since the books on there are under Diamond Johnson and not the books under Diamond D. Johnson, so I’ll have to do a little digging. But I’m determined to find and read every available book in this universe.

This will always be 1 of my favorite couples. I loved this update and the fact that it was realistic with the COVID issues we are all living with and facing —especially us Floridians. I can’t believe how grown PJ Is!

Loved it! It was great to revisit Jah and Antonia. Not going lie I shed a tear or two because it had it’s emotional moments. I wonder if PJ will eventually have his own story one day. Great update.

Absolutely Amazing Read
It was so good to be able to catch up with Jah and Antonia! To have been reading about them since the beginning, it's still beautiful for their love to be like new. I can't believe PJ is old enough to be having sex! Amazing Christmas story as usual, Diamond! I hope we get to keep up with PJ and his growing up.

Great read and informative
I absolutely love the turn this book took. It made me really realize how talented Diamond is as a writer, because I can tell the book was written not to long ago to match our current situation taking place (COVID19), she provided a lot of information and things to do to keep safe all while giving us good twist and entertainment.

I will always love Antonia & Jah’s stories ♥️

I give it 4 stars because it was to short...Little Miami Girl is hands down one of my favorite reads ever....I laughed, cried, got angry, went back to happy ...etc ...I love Antonia,Jahiem, Shaniqua, Desmond, Pj,Tory,Big Jah,Mrs.Carter.everyone.... Its like u never want it to end...

Great Read
This standalone was so good and I loved catching with these characters. So loved Tonia and Jah, their love for each other and their family is like no other. Every character was updated and some were doing good and so got karma for Christmas. Can't wait for whatever future updates on these characters. Highly recommend this standalone. Great job Diamond D. I love this bunch!!!
I absolutely love this family. Seeing their growth and progression was everything. Ms. Diamond is soooooooo talented. I love that all the men are legit even though they’re hood dudes. I love Antonia and Shaniqua. The bond those ladies share us awesome. Great job.

I absolutely love this family, thank you for this update. The way Jah loves Antonia is so beautiful, however, baby girl need some SERIOUS INTENSE THERAPY. Lol, the whole book I'm like get my girl some services asap! I love PJ & Jah relationship, it's so cute. The love is indeed there.

I loved the follow up on this family. Pj definitely grew up. I thought Jah was going to have to slap him a time or two. Also, I hope Jah honors Antonia’s wishes of waiting at least 5yrs for the last baby because 5 is a lot 🤣
