A Little Tempted
Spoilers ahead!
You have been warned.
This one confuses me a little. MFC is a super busy woman who takes a magical shot of tequila that suddenly has her wanting to climb her three BFFs.
Their first group shaboink that didn’t exactly “boink”had me giggling from the start. Why the author decided to call boobies “nips” I’ll never know but I hyperfixated about it and had to read the entire scene again. Oh lord it gets worse! She uses the phrase “lady juices”. When I tell you I gagged
The “romantic” talk is embarrassing. These guys ordered a triple side of cheese. Oh no, it’s all four of them! They are a giant cheese wheel
Some questionable things I noticed:
They’ve been friends since grade school, are pushing 30 and have never tasted each other’s favorite coffee before? And for simple black with lots of sugar the whole conversation was a little cringey.
The way these guys talk about the MFC being so small “her head felt tiny in my big hands.”What is she an elf? —her hand is so small it’s like she’s holding a pringles can instead of his dip stick. How is homie not going to split this chick in half? I haven’t gotten there but I’m predicting with a little book magic, they’re either going to fit like puzzle pieces and/or baby girl’s promise land is going to be just fine afterward and won’t need the five to six business days to recover you would expect after THAT experience.
We get that one of the MMCs is African American but every time she talks about Joe’s looks in her mind there’s almost always considered black. “Black velvet skin” was just one of them.
It’s a little frustrating that specific details are used to overly describe the atmosphere in the middle of a conversation or scene but we really don’t get any description of the guys. I cheated instead of using my imagination I just guessed who was who from the book cover.
We get it, she’s an instant Olympic level ice skater after not being on the ice for half her life, but shouldn’t she be focusing on more important things? Like the three best friends and what exactly is going on?
The declaration was lackluster in my opinion and MFC having the exact same shoe size as Olivia Newton John is just too perfect. I googled it’s US 8… pretty common but too convenient considering the outfit also fit perfectly.
I cannot with the ending of this book, bro. It’s mentioned one time towards the end that the group loves the movie Grease and all of a sudden they’re having a full on Cabaret themed wedding complete with cringy song and embarrassing dance.
The spice level, for me, I would say two out of five chili peppers. Everything was so cheesy and there wasn’t much to go on. I was expecting a lot more steam but it just wasn’t there. I mean the three grown men were straight up frat bros in bed. Lots of “eff yeah”s and plenty of exclamation points.
I honestly would give this two stars, but I’ll admit I got carried away with this review. I sort of came and spoke my thoughts when needed and then went back to reading.

This was a small town friends to lovers reverse harem story.
This story is about another polygamous group in the town of Cricket. June, Dex, Jake and Rob have been best friends since grade school. June is an event planner, financially supports her mother and is a workaholic. Jake owns his own motorcycle repair shop and makes his own rules. Rob is a furniture maker from a big family and his father Lawrence works with June. Dex owns a gym and has the body to prove it. At their annual Christmas Eve get together they get very flirty and talk about their sex lives. Over time they have come to see each other as more than friends are are very attracted to each other. After a physical altercation at the Mayor's skating party, June runs away to her friend Scarlett 's mountain lodge. The guys end up rescuing her after she gets into a car accident on the way. They get snowed in at the lodge and take their relationship to the next level. They realize they love each other and end up getting married.

Another great story by Pepper Swan. She has a way of pulling you into the story and you actually feel like you are right there with the characters.
This is the story of June, Jake, Rob & Dex – They have been best friends since elementary school. I am voluntarily reviewing after receiving a free copy. June, Jake, Rob and Dex have been friends since they were children. It was June who made the first move even though the guys had wanted her for a long time and agreed not to act on it. The reveal of their relationship was not calm nor private but the guys pulled together when they realized June ran off. They searched for and found her after she hit the ditch in a snowstorm. They all spent the weekend in Scarlett's cabin where they talked and started their four-way relationship. I really liked how the guys finally got June to heal regarding her father's death when she was young. June is a very determined woman and is fully supported by Jake, Rob and Dex. While the story is as steamy as the rest of the series, this one seemed to deal with the emotions of the characters more which I liked.

Once again this author has written a sweet but steamy story. It’s wonderfully written and her characters always become a part of me. The chemistry is always off the charts and never a dull moment. I love this author and everything I read by her. It was written beautifully and was impossible to put down. Flowed very well, but so do all her books.
Once again we find ourselves in Cricket, California. A place that loves their small town living is very accepting of everyone there. We meet four lifelong friends June, Jake, Rob, and Dex. June is an event planner and a perfectionist. She gets started and doesn’t stop or slow down. Jake has a shop and fixes classic Harley’s. He’s gorgeous and seems to have a tough exterior but is super sweet on the inside. Him and June have a special connection from when they were kids. Jake stole my heart and became my favorite. Rob is ex military like his father but decided he wanted to build furniture. He’s the quiet one and the toughest out of all three guys. He’s June’s rock and the two of them can talk about anything. He relies on her for that. Dex owns Work It Out the only gym in Cricket. He’s more of the mystery of the group. He’s sweet and caring. Watching June find herself again, her love for ice skating while also learning more about herself and allowing herself to lean on her mother again after all these years is beautiful. Watching her realize that she does deserve love and her three men.
This book had me laughing, close to tears, and so much more. There were some serious moments but the way she wrote them made them more uplifting while still staying serious. She put some very tender and sweet moments in there as well as some hot and steamy moments.
I absolutely loved this book and recommend it 100%!!

June Dax Jake and Rob have been long time best friends but now they are realizing all along that they have had feelings for each other. A Little Tempted tells the story through June point of view. It show how she griefs her father’s death and moves on. So she can feel whole to love someone. June and the guys give us spicy scenes. But in the end they get HEA.
Pepper Swan does a incredible job with characters and how the storyline pulls you in. And the chemistry between June and are men are so hot. Definitely recommend A Little Tempted.

A Little Tempted by Peppe Swan is an emotional reverse harem, but with plenty of steam. Cricket is on it’s way to another group relationship with long time best friends June, Dex, Jake and Rob. You could say this group’s tension and chemistry has been building for years.
The plot of this successful group of friends revolves around June and it quite emotional. Her guys are there for her and with their history, understand what she needs.
Overall, this reverse harem is as fun and steamy as it is emotionally charged. And of course, they also have the beginnings of a wonderful HEA.

Yes I said best friends...3 ...June and her 3 best friends have come to a point in their friendship where they need more. Thankfully in their little town of Cricket, their kind of relationship is kind of normal. So June and her gorgeous hunky lovers are gonna fit right in.
I loved every moment of their love story. Of knowing whether to push their best friend status to the next level, of their doubts as to whether it was going to work as none of them wanted to loose what they had with each other.

After reading the blurb, I expected this book to be hot. I did not expect the sweetness. The relationship between these 4 is totally sweet and I was totally hooked!

Fun, heart felt friends fall into an unorthodox relationship that just works.
Enough humour and alpha type protection to keep me interested and a really well developed back story for their friendship and the little town they live in.
Would read more about their future happily, and have gone on to buy other books from author Pepper Swan.

This was a great friends to lovers reverse harem. It’s brilliant how the author manages to pull it off as sweet and cute at times but then it gets really hot and steamy. This is probably one of my favourites so far by this author. I read this book as an ARC.

Best friends since grade school, now nearing 30 and June, Jake, Rob and Dex’s relationship starts showing signs of sexual tension that can’t be ignored any longer. When their relationship starts to change will their friendship survive?
This is a fun read with great characters, but I really wish the book would have been longer to include more development of their relationship and how they adjusted once they returned to Cricket after their weekend snowed in at the cabin.
The epilogue was a little surprising, but definitely unique. This was the first book I’ve read by the author and I enjoyed her writing style.
I received an ARC from the author and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
