Definitely a great guide for older trans people, it does give a lot of information on topics of interest such as legal matters or how ageing might affect health and personal aspect. It wasn't as useful as research as I had hoped, I definitely missed more references and the links to webpages the author mentions as useful but gives no actual links or names, but that's really the only problem I had with this book. Definitely worthwhile if you're an elder trans person or have one in your life.
A great book for legal and practical advice for older trans adults, especially trans feminine people. It brings up a lot of concerns to consider while aging, such as social concerns of dementia, wills, and potentially how one’s dysphoria might change during the aging process. I would have preferred a lot more in-text citations and data, and was disappointed that other authors were not referenced that often. However, I also appreciate that the body of research on this particular subject is slim and this is one of the few published works on specifically older adulthood in transgender people. A good book for advise and better understanding the difficulties that transgender older adults face.
While this is written specifically for a UK audience, it still has good practical advice with some relevance to trans and non-binary people in the US. I found some pointers to follow up on that I'll have to translate into US equivalents but I feel better equipped to do my end-of-life planning.
