When you're with Geronimo Stilton, it's always a fabumouse adventure!
Hercule and Geronimo investigate a strange new case. There is a garbage thief in New Mouse City. They aren't stealing just any trash, it's all organic waste. They enlist the help of the head of the Recycling Center to help. In the end they find the thief is a colleague of Floras who has built a machine that turns organic waste into an energy source.
Elisabetta Dami is an Italian author that currently resides in Italy. She is the author of the Geronimo Stilton series, a bestselling childrens book. Another title for this could be "Geronimo Goes Green (Almost)." The book does touch on the fact of trash and recycling and green energy. Overall, a worthy book to read, better than some of the those in the series - definitely one with a good message.
Agenda driven, predictable, and trite...not a great read aloud. The kids were mildly entertained, but I was bored to tears. It did give us an opportunity to talk about what agendas in the media are. I've read a few of these books, and they are usually (slightly) more potable than this one.
Another Geronimo Stilton book! The kids loved it and I thought talking about recycling was good. We have read a handful of these books now and my kids really enjoy seeing the crossover characters.
