Is your body betraying you? Are you constantly feeling low on energy, chronically inflamed, or running for the toilet every time you eat? Have you been diagnosed with celiac disease, gluten sensitivity or an autoimmune disorder? Do you experience lingering symptoms despite your best effort to eat gluten free?
In Dear Gluten, It’s Not Me, It’s You, Jenny Levine Finke shows you how to take control of your diet, kick gluten to the curb, restore your health, and live a life free from annoying and painful symptoms.
Jenny gets it. She is a patient of celiac disease herself. She only felt marginally better after breaking up with gluten. Over the years she realized it was going to take more than simply swapping out wheat bread for gluten-free bread if she was going to heal her broken body.
Consider Dear Gluten your transformational guidebook to eating gluten free AND healing your body. Jenny will help you see why gluten is up to no good, how to get all of gluten’s sneaky bits out of your life, and other steps you can do to heal your body, restore your gut health, and live a symptom-free, healthy life.

I’m going gluten free I’ve realized that there is a loooooot of information out there. Sometimes it’s hard to decode what it all means or even put things into perspective or easily digestible pieces to add to my life in order to prolong it.
This book has been a literal life saver. It helps that a lot of the information has been unknowingly co signed by my nutritionist and I’ve been able to take control of my life by saying goodbye to gluten.
To anyone with a gluten allergy, non celiac gluten sensitivity, or celiac disease I would recommend this book as an introductory resource. It has definitely helped me understand what I need to do to help my body and hopefully this review will help someone else help themselves or someone they love.
Great read with a light-hearted approach to a life changing Celiaca diagnosis. Many may think the doctor’s information contained in the book is unbelievable and “out there” but most doctors have limited info and it’s incumbent on all to read widely and stay informed. If nothing else the most helpful tip is to read labels for hidden gluten. If nothing else it will shortens your grocery shopping as shop the perimeter and avoid ALL processed and frozen processed foods (except this labeled GF). Jenny’s website is very helpful as are her Instagram posts. She’s very upbeat and that alone is needed to avoid depression and discouragement when following a GF lifestyle. It’s not always easy being “that person” in social settings.
Very informative, lots of information that even my own doctor was unable to provide to me about my Celiac Disease. The one thing I did not agree with was the misconception that a high-carb (complex), low-fat diet is still responsible for such a high rate of diabetes, I think is basically what it said. I believe the numbers are outdated, especially if one reads studies such as The China Study by T. Colin Campbell. But I did really enjoy and appreciate this book and am very happy I purchased it!
Newly diagnosed with Celiac disease and I am reading a lot of books and blogs. This is one of the better books I have read. Filled with scientific data; I found her explanations and examples easy to understand. She also provides great resources throughout the book along with some delicious sounding gluten free recipes. The author also has a great blog.
It provided good information to know. My doctor thinks I "may" have Celiac, even though I have no symptoms. I don't know how I would be able to eat Gluten Free as we eat out every day and my favorite foods are pizza and cookies!
