Savannah Vampire #3

The Vampire's Kiss

Rate this book
With William fighting the forces of evil in London town, Jack must cope with the monsters who will challenge him for dominance over Savannah's un-human underworld—and protect the citizenry in the process.

Along the way, Jack gets reacquainted with a fuzzy former friend—sexy werewolf Seth Walker, who has a powerful history with Jack's lady love, Connie the cop. As Jack puzzles over the mystery of Connie and Seth's past, he must remind himself that Connie is more than merely mortal. The fact that Connie's also a Mayan goddess is bad enough, but what else voodoo mambo Melaphia discovers about her could mean the end of Jack, William, Werm, and the rest of the Savannah fang gang!

Diğer şaşırtıcı bir şey ise biyolojik oğlu Will'in saf değiştirip babasının yardımcılarından biri haline gelmesi.

Vi ricordo qui i vari titoli:

Another fast-paced, exciting story. William flies off to Europe to track down Diana, Hugo & Eleanor, determined to rescue Renee from their plans to use her special blood to promote there own aspirations. He tracks them from Moscow to London where he has to reluctantly ask Olivia and her coven for help.

Meanwhile Jack has his own problems. There's a local werewolf pack living in the nearby swamps that is selling meth to one Elanor's ex-call girls. When he goes to check it out he runs into a longtime friend Seth. He's a werewolf and a detective who's looking into the same problem. Turns out Connie knows him from long ago and she's looking into a missing person case involving the same pack.

Lots of twist's as William and Jack try to determine who they can trust. William is devastated by the treachery of people he hoped he could love and count on. While just as Jack learns that things may not be so bad, fate throws a wrench into the works. Melaphia's voodoo magic adds an interesting supernatural quailty to the problems on both sides of the ocean. And theres a interesting twist at the end that draws you into the next book.

Favorite scenes: Jack's meeting in the swamp with his old friend and Huey in the swamp.

I have to say is these books get better and better with each one. I don't feel comfortable giving a review on these books. There is so much going on and I don't want to give away anything that would ruin it for anyone.

Suffice it to say, these books have a story behind them it's not just Vamp Porn as my nephew teases me about. Not that I'm above Vamp Porn, I assure you I'm not. I do love a book with a good story though. The sex isn't real graphic as some are, you definately know whats going on.

A non-stop thrill ride, with Were's too in this third book in the series. Seth the new Were in town brings an interesting twist to the love connection going on with Jack and Connie. She has a dramatic past, heartbreaking. William is off to try to save the child while Jack is at home in Savannah. Jack is trying to keep the peace in a wild mix of testosterone challenges and emotional turmoil. William is struggling with old angry nasty vampires, more powerful than any he has known. An excellent addition to the series, they just keep getting better

OMGosh Ms Hart you've done it again, left me hanging, and THIS time, I think it's with an Oh S%#T added! What a ride this book was....amazing! I loved it! This is a VERY cool series, and I am going to start the next book straight away, but with only two books left in the series, there's also a feeling of, I don't want it to end so soon! I continue to recommend this series to anyone who loves Paranoral/Vampire books..this series is definitely a keeper!!

William Cuyler Thorne, a vampire for approximately five centuries, has longed for death ever since his creation. The night he became a blood drinker, he watched as the monster who created him murdered his wife and child.

In need of a family, but loathe to cause anyone the pain of becoming a blood drinker, Thorne creates only one immortal offspring, Jack McShane, a young confederate soldier he finds near death on the battlefield. Their differences become apparent almost at once. Thorne was once an English gentleman and is now a wealthy Savannah socialite. Jack was a farmer who went to war for the South and is now a good-ole-boy who owns a nighttime tow truck and car repair business. Despite their differences they love each other as father and son, and share the philosophy that innocents should never be killed.

The family Thorne has made for himself also includes the descendants of Lalee, the greatest voodoo priestess the New World has ever seen, and two half human/half canine creatures who serve as bodyguards while he sleeps. Thorne is proud and protective of his family.

In this third book of the Savannah vampires, Jack is left to keep Savannah safe from denizens of the dark while William goes to Europe to rescue the youngest voodoo priestess, nine-year-old Renee. Jack has his hands full with meth-dealing werewolves. In England, William's search for Renee means dealing with two women who had once been important in his life - his wife Diana and his mistress, the fledgling vampire, Eleanor.

When it comes to vampires Raven Hart has historical Savannah covered.

The third book in the series, and while Raven takes themes from White Wolf's World of Darkness and Buffy the Vampire Slayer as well as common mythology, she blends those ideas together in a story of her own. We have two protagonists in this series: William the vampire sire, and his vampire son, Jack. William is the angsty vamp with a death wish, and Jack is the redneck vampire with more humanity than a lot of humans.

In this book, Jack has to guard their territory of Savannah, Georgia while William goes abroad to find the daughter of their human Voodoo mambo who was kidnapped by William's human wife and vampire brother. I know, it reads like a soap opera a bit.

Each chapter is split between William and Jack, so the plot bounces between the two. Oh, and of course, you have the new vampire Werm who is a goth boy turned vamp (reminds me of some people I know really).

Overall, the book is a good read, and I'm looking forward to the next one. Her writing style is engrossing even if the themes aren't very original.

OMG, I hated the way this ended. There are so many unanswered questions. I sure hope Raven intends to continue the story, I have to know what becomes of Jack and Connie and Will and Diana and everybody else. There was no hint of what is to come. I hate feeling like there is unfinished business. Nothing really got answered just kept going on and on. Is William really lost to us forever? God I hope not.

Enjoyed the story- it was a bit all over the place there for a second with Jack being back in Savannah and William off to find Renee but it tied together and left me curious about what's next. It'll be interesting to see if some of my suspicions are on target in the next book. On to The Vampire's Betrayal.

This is the third book in a series by Raven Hart. I'm not a vampire fan, but these books have really captured my interest. Plenty of conflict with nice plot twists. The vamps are very sexy, too, and that never hurts. Can't wait for the final installment to be published. Happy reading.

Although these books have been interesting, they've been a little hard for me to get into, this one was by far the easiest of the first three. Jack is a breathe of fresh air in all of them so far! So much fun to read when it's his turn to speak!

I didn't think the series could get better or that they could get into more trouble. This book was more of a wrap of the preceeding book but it had lots of fun and games along the way. It's a fast read that will make you laugh and say "oh William how could you be so stupid".

This book was a lot darker than the previous books. I liked the outcome. The last chapter was a little confusing though. I was trying to figure out who the "old ones" were speaking too. Oh well, I'm sure it will be explained in the next book.
