A great title for a great book
Cathy has her boys and her man, none perfect but to her eyes they are, she could want for nothing more
The book charts their life and all that happens ( in real to life gangland style ) and then without saying too much EVERYTHING changes, at 70% I literally shouted ‘NO’ as life came knocking and turned Cathy’s world upside down, forever, in a second
Now Cathy wants revenge, she wants her pound of flesh and WILL get it, and no one will stand in her way, whoever they are
Amazingly tense and exciting this book hooked me from page 1 with its larger than life characters and situations they get themselves into, one of those books that you easily picture each scene and are ‘there’ in the middle of it all
Fantastic writing and an enticing storyline that lasted right to the last sentence

Outstanding
When all Cathy wants is the happy ever after but that is just only a dream, with a husband like terrace all she gets is physical and emotional abuse. Still close to her childhood sweetheart Paul she often thinks back to what if and knows nothing will happen as she is pregnant with Terrace's child.
Turn if events leads to Cathy seeking revenge for the things that she loves the most.
This book has you gripped from the first page and the turn of events sucker punch you xx

Really enjoyed this gritty gangster thriller.
Spanned over 20 years it tells the story of Cathy a down trodden and abused wife of womaniser Terrance Matlock
Paul, an up and coming gangland face still holds a torch for his old school sweetheart and will do anything to protect her.
Paul is to be feared, violent and not to be messed with. He’s making a name for himself but Cathy is his weakness.
I read a lot of these type of books and I like this author. This has a great twist in it that for once I wasn’t expecting and didn’t see coming. It could of easily been a 5 star read for me.
But… there were a few things. Cathy at times I wanted to shake.
It could of been written over 2 books. There was a lot going on. I would of liked a bit more character development as the characters were good. I wanted to know more about their lives and about them. So it became a bit rushed in my opinion. Although it slowed down as we approached the end.
Putting that aside it was a really good gangland crime thriller and I look forward to her next book.

What a FANTASTIC story of Cathy Townsend and the life she lives with her bully of a husband,her mom Angie is no help she only thinks of herself.Life is hard for cathy until Paul an old flame comes back into her life because Paul is no ordinary man he's a Face with a nasty temper.I have loved reading this book it has had me gripped from the start to the finish,i have laughed and cried with this book.Kerry Kaya writes BRILLIANT gangster books that i love to read and i look forward to her next.5* but should be more.

Whoa! What a ride! Kerry has become a firm favourite of mine and this book is exactly why. I will say, only a crazy talented writer can kill off the main character and 4 equally important characters two thirds the bloody way through a book and still finish on a high! Her character murder spree had me chuckling at the sheer balls of it. A book from a writer who yet again will have me thinking about what I just experienced for days to come. Brilliant.

I started this book today & have hardly been able to put it down. I love all Kerry's books & this book is as good as the rest .I get engrossed in the story ,I won't give anything away but if you enjoy Kerry's book you will enjoy . I can't wait till she brings more out ,definitely 1 of my favourite author's if not the favourite.The characters are easy to read about & the storyline was good too ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Brilliant book
This was a new author to me a few years ago and I find her books a really good read and I am now a follower and I am looking forward for her next book so get your fingers out a d start typing. Her books are a bit like Kimberly chambers ,Roberta meat ,Jessie mean and many more down the line .Once you start reading you can't put her books down from the beginning to the end. Well deserved 5stars yes I would reccamend this book to Martina Cole fans .

Another great read from Kerry Kaya, it’s a stand alone that could have a sequel in the future, it’s full of betrayal and the statement that if you live by the sword, then you die by the sword rings true and justice is definitely served. I was glad I was off otherwise, I would have had to wait to finish it.

Disappointed. Spoiler alert
Was expecting this to be part of the Carter series or at least to find out what happened to McKay or any of the characters from the Carter series.
This is a good book as far as stories go. Got bored after yet again main characters killed off. The women are not strong enough to carry off the story.

Fantastic
Wow Kerry has outdone herself again. Paul is playing a dangerous game, one that comes dangerous consequences for himself and his family. Cathy is one strong woman who has to step up and take back control.

A really engaging read from start to finish.
I loved the characters fast paced exciting.
It had love violence and sadness. I don’t like to give spoilers but some people who died made me cry !
I hope we see more of Cathy !

Very well written gangland style novel, which flows and twists nicely along.i would have liked a little more depth at the end as it all seemed to go too well but nonetheless it was a good read and I would look for her again

Absolutely brilliant! I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Cathy and the comings and going’s of her life! Many times I was gripped to the book, not wanting to put it down! Another fantastic read from Kerry Kaya!

Another brilliant book by Kerry! She's fast becoming a force in crime fiction. I highly recommend her books n this book is no different. Had me gripped the whole way! Easily warm to the Characters.
