There were a few things that bothered me. 1. If she was small, she would’ve showed sooner, so to say she just started showing at 4 months and it wasn’t really really noticeable until 7 is weird. 2. What was the purpose of Trevor? He could have been left out. They didn’t remain friends, so that was a waste of a chapter. 3. Why so many subplots? The kidnapping could’ve been a good one. The jealous ex is a good one. Him being emotionally unavailable is a good one. 4. Where was her backbone? If the man says one thing but acts another p, why set yourself up for disappointment? She felt like he didn’t love her yet she continued to hop in bed with him.... why? Have more self-respect! That made me soooooo mad! Like why pine after a man you barely know, then get upset when he treats you like a f-ck buddy? You keep allowing him back in, he’s gonna take it. They both annoyed me.
I couldn’t stand Hunter... he was so trifling and disrespectful. If he were any other man in a book, the author would have him portrayed as the bad guy instead of the hero... How are any of these women readers finding him pleasing after the way he reacted to Sophie telling him that she’s pregnant with his child? He was childish and disrespectful basically the whole book and I still can’t believe he was the male lead in this story... It took him too damn long to realize and admit that he “loved” Sophie. She was so desperate and pathetic that she just broke her neck to accept his weak, lame a$$... I was so annoyed with him that I started skimming pages as not to be bothered with the stupid crap coming out of his mouth or being thought internally by him.
Hunter practiced a lot of compassion. When the ranch hands took the thoroughbreds out joy riding that ended with the animals being put down, he fired them. The same ranch hands decided to take cattle and more thoroughbreds injuring Ben in the process. The maid that passed along the information that helped get Sophie kidnapped was just let go. Are there any real people this forgiving and compassionate to take such loss and betrayals. I realize that his family was the town benefactors, but was all aspects of his life known to everyone? Marie knew way too much. Hunter and Sophie didn’t have parents with them, but Mrs Lowe and Ben would do nicely.
I skipped over this story a couple of time but I am so glad I finally decided to read this one. I love that Hunter was all Alpha when it counted. The book started off very different from all the other books by Katie that I have read. That is what I loved the most about this one. Sophia was a very strong person that know what she wanted and held her on. I am so glad that Hunter made the right choice in the end.
This story is on the sweeter side. The main female character stays strong and intelligent throughout the storyline. As usual the main male character still maintains all his strength and perseverance even after he realizes and accepts that he's fallen in love. The sweetness of this story flows through to the end.
I enjoyed reading this book! I did find a lot of errors, but not enough to take away from the story. It took some time for Hunter to figure things out in how he truly felt about Sophie! But, all things end well! I definitely think everyone will enjoy reading this book and I definitely recommend it to others!
Loved the book, especially when Hunter got his head out of his behind. I was upset that no one realized that Marie was behind Jerry and Anders scheme to take Sophie. Heath, the baby, came early but must have had the weight necessary not to need to go to the hospital.
Why you use big words when you do not have the basics to use little ones or grasp basic spelling throughout the many books written under the BWWM club. Just mind-blowing, here's hoping for a better year in 2021.
Sophie and Hunter met when Sophie is trying to get away from the tragedy of her parent's death. One thing leads to another and attraction is acted upon and now they are going to be parents together. They get to know each other and fall hard. Of course things try to stop them but they make it through, loved it.
They were meant to be Hunter and Sophie but it must have some obstacles,in the way to make good reading. Hunter knew he wanted Sophie, but playing he not interested. God bless Ben,to push him the right way. They always say that food is love to a man's heart. Great reading.
And I actually really enjoyed that the other ladies weren’t in this one…a bit annoying after a while in my humble opinion. Good plot, with a couple exceptions (like the character Trevor?), and good pace. Will read another, thanks Katie!
Hunter and Sophie had undeniable chemistry. What happened in one night, turned into a forever. Hunter was not a man of many words, however, Sophie had made him weak in the knees. True Love prevails.
Hunter is an excellent book, it was a different story line that the author usually write. A great twist that I never saw coming, very interesting read.
Sophie was a nice girl in mourning for her family. I think Hunter shouldn't have taken advantage. But, he did want to take care of her. Story had action and bad guys. It kept you interested.
This is a great story to read with unforgettable characters that have sizzling passion for each other. There is drama but it's suspenseful and a thrilling experience.
