I’m the oldest of all the Dixon boys. Yeah, that family. And, yeah, that Dixon. The one with a notorious temper and devastating fists. My family tried everything short of giving up on me, but there’s only one person who can calm me.
Savannah Riley Dixon.
Girl next door. My best friend. Sweeter than honey and stronger than whiskey. And the answer to my enraged soul.
From the moment she came skipping onto our ranch when we were kids, I knew she was my future—my everything. One touch, the fire in me cools. One kiss, that rage melts away. But the girl who’s stood by my side through brawls, cop cars, and kids of our own warned me years ago: One more fight, and she’s gone.
For her, I’d do anything. I’d lower my fists. I’d rein it all in. I’d stop the damn world. But when someone threatens our marriage, all I see is red.
Molly grew up in California but now lives with her husband and daughter in the oh-so-amazing state of Texas. When she's not diving into the world of her characters, some of her hobbies include hiking, snowboarding, traveling, and long walks on the beach . . . which roughly translates to being a homebody and dishing out movie quotes with her hubby. She has a weakness for crude-humored movies and loves curling up in a fluffy blanket during a thunderstorm . . . or under one in a bathtub if there are tornados. That way she can pretend they aren't really happening.
A pretty overdone plot and situation, a wife that couldn't make up her mind to forgive the person she has meant to "love forever".
Cheating? Would question whether actual "cheating" took place because it was neither deliberate, intentional and was a mistake (he slept with his girlfriend (now wife - best friend 13 years previously thinking it was his girlfriend). When it was eventually revealed 13 years after the drama was full on. I almost DNF this story but wanted to see whether his wife would give herself a shake and understand what marriage and forgiveness were about.
I truly felt sorry for the H in this story. The groveling he had to do to get her to understand that what he did that night was nothing other than a mistake and mistaken identity. He deserved a medal.

I liked the flashbacks that told the story of Beau and Savannah. I feel like the whole controversy with Madison and Beau was dragged for too long, and in the end was a no issue. I really liked Beau and Savannah together and separately. I still feel that some of the family issues were brushed off and never truly got any closure. Even in Book 4, the author is still victim-blaming the poor girl that died in Book 1 of anorexia, calling her a manipulator and blaming her for dying instead of addressing this issue properly like the illness that it is. Seriously. This will be the last book that I read of this author.
I don’t even know where to start with this one. Fire by Molly McAdams is honestly my favorite romance book ever. I’ve read it four times now and it never gets old. It’s over 500 pages, but I swear I could’ve read another 500 because I just love everything about this story. Savannah and Beau have this insane chemistry that completely hooked me. The angst, the pain, the betrayal, it all hit so hard, and I couldn’t put it down. Their relationship isn’t easy, but that’s what makes it so addicting to read. You feel every high and every low with them. This is 100% my favorite book in the series. Savannah and Beau just deserve the world, and I’ll never stop recommending this book. If you love romance that makes you feel everything, this is the one.

So sad for the end of this series, but what a wild ride for Savannah and Beau! While we get context from the previous books that things have been an uphill battle for Beau and Savannah is his voice of reason, as I started reading, I realized we as readers had NO IDEA what this couple had gone through prior to the explosive information given in the book prior and thankfully we get the best of both worlds with giving us their love story as well as what happens in the aftermath of their current relationship state. My heart truly broke for Beau; between his uncontrolled anger and being misunderstood and accused by everyone in town, I was so happy that he had Savannah in his life to really be his calm and light. These two are total opposites in the personality department, and it’s what really makes them so perfect. In the present side of the book, we see how things have really changed with others in town since their past, but also how things have remained the same despite all Beau has accomplished. It made me so sad to see how people treated him, both past and present tense. We really see Savannah struggle with not only the decision to keep Beau away, but also the decision to work through things and really understand what happened so many years ago as well as the ripple effect it caused. I can’t begin to explain how much Molly’s books move me and really make me feel what these characters do. I can’t get enough of her books, between the storyline and her style of writing, it’s the perfect combination for me. With the end of this series, I’m sad but cannot wait for the next book we get from her! I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This is a very good book.I just upset myself for reading the last book in the series first
The angst in this book was so good. I love the past and future storylines. I just did not enjoy the fact that I did not know anyone until the end. So I didn't enjoy it.
I did skip 2 or 3 chapters to the end because I just couldn't wait for them to get back together. It was frustrated me.
I will probably read another one of this author's book, and hopefully, it's not too dramatic.
Let me be honest... I need to read the second and third books in this series. I ran out of time to read them, and I was too excited to jump into this one. I will suggest reading the first three books in this series first. I was missing a lot from the previous two books, so I was getting frustrated. That's my fault though. I know better.
Now, onto this book. If you aren't familiar with Molly's books, they are always highly emotionally charged. Be warned to have all of the strong feels with any one of her books, including this one. This book weighed my heart down something fierce. I don't like to be all up in my feelings, but I couldn't stop reading this book.
The flow of this book between past and present was seamless. I found myself lost in the past and present, learning about Beau's and Savannah's tumultuous past and how it connected to their present. I couldn't wait to get to the end to find myself in the midst of a happily ever after. It's no surprise that I was pleasantly rewarded by the time the book ended.
I can't sing this book enough praises. Now it's time for me to go back and get the other two books read.
Fire is the 4th and final book in Molly McAdam’s Brewed series. McAdams is a new author to me introduced through the Fall into Love Romance collection free on Kindle Unlimited. I loved the first two books in the series Fix, Rae and Sawyer’s story and Whiskey, Emberly and Cayson’s story. The third book Glow, Hunter and Madison’s story not so much. Still, I was invested enough in the series, the story of the four Dixon siblings Beau, Hunter, Cayson and Sawyer and their significant others, Savannah, Madison, Emberly and Rae to want to read this one to find out all the unanswered questions about the relationships between the siblings and their women. Fire is the story of Savannah and Beau the oldest of the Dixon boys. When the series starts Savannah and Beau (who have been together since they were nine years old and lovers since their sophomore year in high school) have been married for years, have 3 children and own a B&B Blossom in the imaginary little town of Amber Texas. Reading the previous books we know that Beau has serious anger issues which he can barely keep under control. I believe the books title refers to the fire in Beau’s blood. We know that Savannah is the one person who can calm Beau’s rage when he begins to Hulk out. We know Savannah is a sweet and loving wife, mother and sister-in-law who may be the only person besides their mother capable of keeping the boys in line. As Glow ended Savannah learns that her husband and her best friend Madison who had suddenly and mysteriously left Amber right after her high school graduation (breaking her childhood sweetheart Cayson Dixon’s and Savannah’s hearts) accidentally slept together which unknown to everyone but Beau, is why Madison left town. She discovers this fact when Cayson (with Madison who has recently returned to Amber, close behind him) rushes into Blossom, attacking Beau and screaming “You fucked my girlfriend!” Savannah is stunned by the revelation both because, well the guy she’d been with since she was nine years old and her best friend bumped uglies. Then they hid that fact from her for thirteen years. As that story closes she’s kicked Beau out of the house and Madison leaves with Cayson in tears. This story is pretty much all Savannah trying (or not trying) to come to terms with what happened and Beau losing his ever lovin mind fearing his wife, his everything, is going to divorce him. There are plenty of flashbacks to the couples past as well as to other critical moments in the Dixon family history to help readers who haven’t read the series catch up. While I love the contemporary romance genre I’m not a big fan of stories that are mostly angst filled. Which this one is. But I am a fan of happy endings and this book once Savannah and Beau get their shit together more than delivers on that. This story had a bit too much angst and a bit too many flashbacks to fill me in on things having read the previous books I already knew. One question it never did answer was, “Does Cayson have a different father than his brothers?” The author more than hinted at that in the last book and this one with Cayson having Dyslexia which is an inherited trait no one else in his family has. The fact that his father treated him so poorly and in his will left everything to “His Three Sons” and Cayson wasn’t one of them. Add to that their mother’s reaction every time one of the boys questions the whole 3 sons statement in their father’s will and you’re led to believe that Cayson had a different father. But we’re never told whether that’s the case or not. As much as I loved the Savannah character I was disappointed she seemed to struggle with forgiving Beau and Madison for sleeping together when they were all so pass out drunk Beau thought he was banging Savannah and Madison thought she was banging Hunter. I get where she was angry that they didn’t tell her but not for it happening. Then there’s the issue that after a lifetime of watching Beau get into fights because of his temper she made him swear to stop losing it to the point of physical violence before they were married. She was pissed at Beau for hitting Hunter back when Hunter attacked him. I mean what’s a guy supposed to do when someone else starts beating on him unless he’s a Quaker? Decent story which I’m certain many will enjoy more than I did with a great epilogue where everyone gets to live happily ever after. Well everyone but Isabelle but that’s another story.
I will be honest my friends. I went into this book excitedly terrified. Lol Let me explain. I had been anticipating this book so much because I’m SO in LOVE with this series. But here I was thinking from the little we have seen of him in the previous books that the only redeeming quality that Beau Dixon possesses is...well at first wasn't sure that he had many. However Molly wrote this so I decided to truck along with trust, she would probably end up changing my mind in the end. So I belly flopped into the deep end kinda thinking “what am I gonna do? I like Beau Dixon SO much less than his brothers. Now his brothers... THEY stole my heart.” Wait I’m getting off track here. Any hoo...There I was thinking the only redeeming thing about him was his unbreakable devotion to his wife, sweet Savannah Dixon, or so it seemed. So I started out with an “ I just don’t know about that Beau” attitude. So the question is can Molly turn the angry, fight startin’ Beau into the most desirable Dixon?”
HOLY HECK YES SHE DID!! Molly McAdams made me fall irrevocably in love with Beau Dixon and his journey towards forgiveness and redemption. In my many clouds of tears while reading this book my mind was forever changed. Maybe because out of all the Dixon boys he had to fight the hardest for his redemption, or maybe because of all the Dixon boys his self loathing is at an all time high , not really sure. But I know for CERTAIN there was a particular moment, my eyes overflowing with tears, my heart devastated, I realized that for one hundred and fifty percent certainty Beau would be the Dixon that broke me and that somehow Beau Dixon had the strongest hold on my heart out of all those delicious Dixon boys. Everything about this broody and angry and aggressive man is devilishly sexy. He makes me sad while I yearned for his happiness, he melts my heart with the way he looks at his wife, and he definitely makes my heart flutter. The determination of this hardworking man on a mission to get back what he once had melts me like butter on a biscuit. My heart almost can’t take how he has never truly had anyone in his corner like Savannah. So for all those reasons he OWNS my heart. I’m claiming him. I have it bad for misunderstood men. ( They are my favorites so it's not surprising)
“I know she deserves someone better than me—I’ve tried to get her to realize that. But I’ll always try to be the guy she deserves.”
He has the worst rap y'all! From childhood he was the angry turd adults had washed their hands of. Even his parents were at their wits end. Then in walks the new neighbors with their little girl Savannah and his life would never be the same.
Savannah Riley Dixon. Sweet, sassy, loyal and she saw something in Beau DIxon the moment she first saw him. She was this precious girl who saw the potential in Beau that know one else had ever taken the time to see. She was the balm to every ailment that burns him, everything that sets him ablaze. He’s the fire and she’s the ice. She's calm and he’s the storm. She saw something in him and from the first glance he was hers and she was his, and my heart was a puddle of goo on the floor.
“He doesn’t need to be fixed or changed or-or-or . . . anything. He’s fine. He’s perfect,...”
There is so much more to him than the sexy ball of anger that people think he is and I can’t wait for you all to read this book and fall in love with the complexity of this character. To fall in love with this big bearded burly man that melts at the sight of his wife and their babies. To look deep into your own heart and try to understand what years of feeling like nothing short of a bomb with an extra short fuse feels like. To not understand why you feel this way but to be so thankful god sent you an angel like your wife because she keeps you in check. But they are married and have kids now. When she told him no more fighting or she was done, she meant it!
“That girl is the answer to my fucked-up soul. She’s my everything…” I can’t imagine the fear Beau lived in knowing what he could lose at any given moment. That’s the power secrets wield over us, and Beau knew he never deserved any of his blessings anyway. At the start I thought he was a jerk, an angry jerk but as we get to know throughout the chapters my heart thawed. SO. HARD! He is so misunderstood. This man has spent his life feeling so angry, broken and hated and like he would never amount to anything. Like he was so unworthy. I feel like there was such character transformation in this book. I really felt like both Beau and Savannah grew so much as individuals and as a couple. Holy Geeze are they ever hot too!! 🔥🔥
I loved that this book was told in dual POV and told in flashbacks from past to present. We got to read Beau’s journey, his journey of how he crawled, kicked, scratched and clawed his way to become the hardworking man he is. To earn the respect of his enlaws and his mother. But when secrets long buried come and Savannah and Beau’s world implodes will they be able to overcome these obstacles or will their beautiful life go up in flames.
I couldn't think of a more fitting way to end the final book in the Brewed series. This entire series was amazing. So full of drama, angst, emotionally riveting storytelling that will have you crying all the tears, celebrating the triumphs, and living for every sweet, sexy and swoon worthy moment. This entire series is a MUST READ!!
My Cr8zysockbookblock blog wrap up for this book! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️- I NEED MORE STARS!! LOL If Molly McAdams writes it, you can guaran-dang-tee I am gonna read, actually devour it. Her writing always amazes me with so much heart and fearlessness. She isn’t afraid to hurt you, to break your heart before she fixes it better. Even those times when we are crushed for our characters I know it's necessary for their journey. She makes us love them that much. When they hurt, we hurt. That is the mark of her incredible talent. I know with Molly’s books we are guaranteed to get a deliciously dirty and sexy story filled with heat, witty banter, and even the unexpected. Fire was riveting and emotionally gripping and it was just phenomenal. ( be prepared to need tissues though) This book, this entire series will still be with me long after I finished the last page and I would not be surprised if I'm still feeling it months later.) I can’t say enough good things about this series!! YOU WILL SEE!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥-This was beyond all kinda hot. I loved getting the clash of the past and present. Reading about the overwhelming lust bombs from their younger days makes you nostalgic about how hot you were when you first started out. That chemistry is explosive. Then how it matures as you grow into a mature married couple. What I like to call Smokin’ sweet! 🔥🔥 🌪Cliffhanger Warning-🌪🌪No Cliffhanger! This was super emotional, I cried so many times because I loved these characters and felt all the feelings right along with them, but I was so happy with how this ended and I am only sorry to see the series end! #HappyEnding!😍
[I received a digital arc for an honest review] "You're not just my best friend, Savannah. You're everything."
Oh goodness This book hurt my soul. I usually start my review with the name and the title of the book I'm reviewing, but I felt that statement should go first. Fire is the 4th book in Molly McAdams Brewed series. Now I guess you could read this as a standalone, but I highly recommend at least reading book 3, Glow, because the main event that affects the couple in this one is intertwined with that one. Of course, I do recommend you just read from the beginning because the entire series is wonderful. "And losing Savannah? That wasn't something I'd survive . Ever."
Fire deals with the aftermath of a lie from 13 years ago finally coming to light. Ripping apart the marriage of Savannah and Beau Dixon. Disrupting their happy family and destroying both their hearts. Through flashback chapters we get to experience these childhood sweethearts falling in love and fighting for the right to be together. Dual point of views help us feel the depth of Beaus anger, frustration, and love and Savannah's love, understanding and faith in him. Your heart breaks as Beau tries to hold on to his wife and family and Savannah falls apart under the weight of her emotions. "Making my soul sing and my chest wrench open. Stealing my heart repeatedly just to crush it. I'd never been so conflicted or tormented."
This book slayed me, I don't even know where to start. I can't imagine what I would do in Savannah's place but the way she handled and tried to avoid it was believable. She focus' on the business and kids so she doesn't have to face what may or may not happen to her marriage. Beau Beau Beau, he was such an amazing husband and father, so full of love for his family. His struggle with his anger was heartbreaking. I was expecting to cry because hello McAdams always hits in the feels, but I wasn't expecting them to result from Beau. The more he tries to keep his family together the more it seems to slip through his fingers. Towards the end there's an event that, because of people false assumptions of him, might destroy his marriage once and for all and the entire scene Beau's agony over the whole thing finally brought the tears. The unfairness of the way people treated and perceived him when he loved Savannah and his family more than anything, was too for my heart to handle 💔 "Every last breath," she whispered."And long after I'm gone," I murmured against her collarbone.
Fire is an emotional romance about family, love and working together to make it through the hard times. The Brewed series by Molly McAdams is a must-read!
I just knew that I would love Beau and Savannah's story. Watching them as I read the rest of the series gave us little bits and pieces. Emotions are high throughout this entire book and bleed from these loveable characters in true Molly McAdam fashion. The use of the past and present to help us understand the true dynamic of this couple.
Savannah knew from a very young age that Beau was a good guy with a big heart that loved deeply. She saw past his deep anger and loved him with her whole heart. Determined to always make others see Beau through the same glasses she did. Loving Beau wasn't always easy and when that love it put to the test, she is so very lost. How many other secrets are there? Can she continue to fight the fight? Can she keep her kids safe and hidden from it all?
Beau has fought his whole life for acceptance in this small town. His anger issues being the center of it all. But when Savannah moved in next door and decided on that day she was going to see past it all, he had hope. Falling quickly for her, loving her to his very core. Determined to be the man she needed him to be. Determined to show her family that he was worthy of this woman. Holding that one secret that would rip his life to shreds. Working hard to rebuild his relationships with his brothers step by step.
Can they survive the damage from the secrets of decades ago? Will this family grow strong once again?
I am sad to see the Brewed Series come to an end. I have loved the small town dynamics, the family that is fighting to reconnect and find a place of new to be one. Molly McAdams has once again left me with a family that I am sure to revisit.

This was book 4 in the "Brewed" series. Beau Dixon is the oldest of the boys he also has a very bad temper just like his abusive father. After reading the other books in this series, I didn't think I would like Beau boy did that change. Beau had to right some wrongs that he did in the past and he had to work hard to do it and not be like their father. Beau and Savannah’s story starts when they were kids, and her family moves next door and it’s the day Beau’s life changes when this sweet girl has the ability to calm him down with only a few words. Their story proves that they are meant to be together. In this book we get flashbacks to when Beau and Savannah were younger, and we get an insight into why Beau is the way he is and how is family handled his irrational moments of anger. Everything he loves can be taken away from him with the swing of his fist. Savannah is a woman that loves this man fiercely but there’s only so much she can take so to save her kids she leaves him. This book had some sad moments in it like when Avalee tells him she saw him yelling at her new friends his kids. I loved that Savannah was willing to fight for her man and when she told the woman that was naked in his office at school off it was funny. I loved how the Dixon boys came together and started to heal from all the trauma of their past. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I also liked the narrators of this series I am going to miss the Dixon Boys.
First off this whole series has been amazing, never once was I bored. Its a perfect Small town brother series.
This last book though, I am blown away. We have known Savannah and Beau since book one, and I'll be honest when I found out the last book was about them, I was like why? They already have a HEA.
We kick off after the events of book three with Madison & Hunter. I won't spoil it but it completely sets this book up perfectly. We see the back and forth of Savannah and Beau from kids to now. My heart broke a million times over the this couple. They are so relatable and Beau's love for Savannah is unmatched. "We love a broody man who only smiles for his girl."
Molly wrapped up this whole series perfectly having events from the books all coincide at the perfect moments.
Molly is an insta-buy author for me, but trust me finish this series its worth all the emotions!
I listened to this on Audible(If you are a member the whole Brewed Series is free right now!)
Not enough words to express how truly amazing this book is!!! First off, if I am being honest which I am, I did not like Beau in all the other books. I thought Cayson would be my number one. Then i also loved Hunter. But OMG Beau Dixon. He topped them ALL! I could read Fire over and over again. I finished it in a day and a half. I keep going back for more. It was everything I wanted and more. I wish it never ended. He and Savannah their story truly was saved best for last. Beautiful couple. Beautiful story. Beautiful amazing Beau. I want a follow up on everyone now. The epilouge wasn't enough and I want everyone's own POV. Like an extended epilouge. Ugh so good. Going to miss the Dixon brothers big time. About to go reread some of my most favorite parts in Fire. Which is pretty much the whole book. ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
Wow!!! Molly has done it again. I honestly didn't know how she was going to top this one. Savannah and Beau story was so beautifully written. I love seeing their love story for how it all started and how they instantly had a connection from a very young age. This story was everything and more, I honestly want more of this crazy family. I'm going to miss this town very much and if she could make more stories of another generation I would love it so much. Sawyer will always be one of my favorites but Beau is definitely a close second. Thank you Molly for such an incredible series, not all family is perfect and we learn to love them in our ways. 💜
Wow! Beau and Savannah were absolutely everything! I couldn't enough of them! I loved seeing all about their past and how they started! I loved how Savannah always stood by his side and that Beau loved her unconditionally with his whole heart! I also loved seeing how the family was there helping them until they were together again! Fire was the perfect ending to this beautiful series! ❤
Definitely was not sure about going into this book considering how much I didn’t like Book #3 of the series but I NEED to know Beau and Savannah’s love story and how the series ended.
I ended up enjoying this book & its portrayal of love prevailing all was refreshing - putting a smile onto my face right up to the epilogue. Sad the series is completed, will miss these characters.
I pretty much knew this wouldn't work that well for me. But I was all in on the angst overdrive plot from the previous books (that I read like a year ago that I still remembered) that I'm glad I ended up finishing the series.
I've been eagerly awaiting Beau Dixon's story and what an emotional roller coaster Ms. McAdams has written. I thought I knew about Beau, but I truly didn't and this story will resonate with me for a long time to come.
Beau and Savannah’s story starts when they’re kids and her family moves next door and it’s the day Beau’s life changes when this sweet girl’s ability to calm him down with only a few words. Their story through the years proves that love can be recognized early in life even when they’re too young to understand what it means to meet your soulmate.
We’ve seen glimpses of Beau in the previous books in this series and we know he’s guarded and has a temper unlike anything anyone has ever seen and there’s really no understanding it. But with this book and the flashbacks to when Beau and Savannah were younger we get immense insight into why Beau is the way he is and how is family handled his irrational moments of anger.
My heart hurt so much for this man because everything he loves can be taken away from him with the swing of one more fist. Savannah is a woman that loves this man fiercely but there’s only so much she can take. And when that moments comes at the hands of someone they love, it’s even more devastating and puts in motion actions of others that change everything about this family and their relationships.
As we watch Beau and Savannah struggle to save the love they so desperately believe in, there are moments that I wanted to slap some people upside the head and others that I questioned why the did the things they did. There are moments of pure anguish for Beau and I questioned if he was going to be able to get back the life he had created with Savannah given her decree of what needs to change if they’re ever going to have a chance.
One of the things I adored in this book is the relationships between the brothers and their wives/girlfriends not only with each other but amongst the group as a whole. Seeing this family finally get a chance to heal from the past and actions of others that were beyond their control was very satisfying. There’s an especially fabulous moment with Savannah and person that lives in Amber that had me rolling!!
What it all comes down to, is that Beau and Savannah need each other in different ways and once they come to terms with how that looks for their lives going forward there’s a true sense of peace in the Dixon family and everything I wanted for each of these couples truly falls into place after all the angst and hurt feelings are resolved. For me this is a MUST READ series and while you can read them as standalones I wouldn’t recommend it because each book builds on the previous story.
Beau and Savannah have been married for about 10 years and have made her dream a reality. They opened the Blosson Bed & Breakfast, have 3 children and seem to be happy. When a past secret comes out, Beau is left scrambling to hold onto his life. As expected, Savannah doesn't take the news very well and reacts by shutting him out. Beau doesn't know what to do and finds himself in unchartered territory. I agreed with him, he should have been given a warning by Madison (who I still have issues with) and not blindsided when Hunter storms over to his house and unloads a past secret that is huge. It was emotional for Savannah and I did have an issue with her still talking to Beau's brothers, but not giving him a chance to tell his side. She seemed to be under the impression that she could cut him out, which was unfair. I am not a fan of anyone keeping someone from their kids and I didn't particularly care for it this time. This book did do a great job of delving into the past and giving us the present. I did like how it ended and felt it was pretty true to their characters.
This is my favorite kind of story and this one fell flat for me. I just couldn't get into the story. I really liked Beau and how much he wanted to save his marriage but his wife was not likeable for me. She cam off to hard and I couldn't empathize with her.
Beau Dixon. The oldest Dixon boy. The scary one with the bad temper. Savannah, his angel, is the only one who can tame his beast. She's his entire world and now with Madison back, he's losing everything that matters.
This is the Brewed Book I've been waiting for. Beau is the Dixon brother whose story I wanted the most to see if his image could be rehabbed in my mind. Sure, he loves Savannah and his kids but his temper is ugly. I was hoping his side would show me a different man. It really didn't but it did show me how the town, his classmates, and even his family judged him and assumed the worst without ever asking him for his side. That did create some sympathy. Still, he was hard to like as a boy and young man. If he hadn't accepted Savannah's ultimatum, I doubt I would have ever liked him. He simultaneously thought the worst of himself and yet accepted no responsibility for his bad actions. But once he accepted his temper and conquered it, I loved the bear. So, when his world crashed, I was firmly in his corner. I found myself frustrated with perfect Savannah who could so easily discard 10 years of a perfect marriage. Actions speak louder than 'no words'. Was he wrong for keeping secrets? I'm not sure. I believe if you made a mistake, it means nothing, will never happen again and is only going to hurt innocent people, then you don't need to purge your guilt by dumping it on the other person. Madison and Beau should have boxed it up and let it go. Never happened. Guilt can be selfish and in this case, it was. However, if they hadn't made all of their mistakes, there would have been 2 fewer books in the Brewed series, so I will let this point go and say he was wrong. Even so, she owed it to him, the kids, and herself to talk to him. Her handling of the mess seemed to make everything worse and add to her own pain and seemed out of character. Then to have Beau put hands on Madison and verbally attack Emberly had him acting out of character. I think the author did both characters wrong. I know it sounds as if I didn't like the book but I did. I grew to love Beau. I love him and Savannah and their family. I love their life, the small town, and the Dixon family. Even when they drive me crazy. This book frustrated me the most and yet, it was my favorite.
