It seems like whenever my life gets super crazy and I find myself in need of a break from reality, one of my favorite authors releases a new book. Even better if the newly released book is one you have been dying to get your hands on. Let's just say some random person walking to their car at 5:50am on release day may or may not have heard my excitement when I one-clicked this baby. Y'all! We finally get Rafe's book! How could I NOT get excited?!
If I had to describe this book in three words it would be intense, fast-paced and swoony. From the moment I picked up the book, I did NOT want to put it down. I made the mistake of starting the book in the morning, knowing full well that I had a jam packed day and I would have very little time for reading. I was super cranky when I had to adult. I think someone needs to make a law that states there will be no adulting when a book you've been patiently waiting for has finally been released.
You guys! I know I say this all the time but, I absolutely adored Kristi and Rafe! These two have a history. After Rafe's girlfriend, Callie, was murdered, he swore he wouldn't let another woman into his heart. But the heart wants what the heart wants. I loved watching their friendship develop into something more. The way they balanced each other out made them perfect for each other. Rafe has always been one of my favorite characters and after reading his book, I love him even more. And just like Rafe, Kristi became an instant favorite. I found myself rooting for them from the very beginning.
It's no secret that I love all of Ms. Deel's books. I love escaping into her books. Every time a new one comes out, I find myself wanting to go and read her other books all over again. There's just something about strong, feisty heroines who have no qualms being with broody, Alpha males who's gut instinct is to hide them away from all the danger that they face. But you can always count on them doing everything in their power to put the other's happiness first.
And of course I can't forget my casting. Y'all... I'm in love with these two! Aren't they perfect?! *dreamy sigh*

Rafe and Kristi
So glad to see Rafe get his story. Rafe comes to help Kristi in a time when really doesn’t want to. Great chemistry and secondary characters. Lots of action and suspense. This is a clean romance. HEA.

Not very well written, and parts of it really spoil it.
Rafe is having a break from his work at Fortress, when he’s asked to rescue Kristie. Kristie has been kidnapped as her dad is really wealthy and they’ve demanded a huge ransom. This is where the plot gets a bit confused, as the author says Kristie and her dad are really close, as it’s just the two of them. Yet her dad refuses to pay the ransom, and hires Fortress to rescue her.
After an amazing rescue, (Sarcasm.) Kristie is still in a huge amount of danger, so she’s goes back to her house and business!!?? 🫤 As the team try to track down who the incredible kidnappers are, (As they don’t really leave traces everywhere, and evidence who they are!) Rafe and Kristi fall in love. Aww how sweet. It’s not sweet at all. As Kristi is such a wimp and under her dads thumb, that she hasn’t told her friend that she won’t marry him. After keeping him waiting for a month, as she’s terrified what her dad will say as he likes him.
At times Kristi came across as a strong, independent businesswoman. Then at others she’s really weak. For example when she tells her dad she’s not marrying Hugh, and he loses it with her and Rafe. But it’s fine as he’s ‘not normally like that.’ Oh okay then….
None of the men ever swear in these books. They’re all ex military and law, yet no swear words? Apparently all Rafe wants is to kiss Kristi. So he doesn’t want sex then? There’s no sex in any of these books. No where near any. It’s weird!
Having said all of that, I’m still reading them. So there must be something keeping me from giving up.

Another Amazing Read!!!!
I loved the story of reborn faith in love. This author writes wonderful stories. She interweaves action, mystery, suspense and love into an entertaining book. Personally,I LOVE the Fortress Security/ Otter Creek series of books; and can’t wait for the next installment of the adventures of the amazing characters she has created. The storylines and cast of characters jumps off the pages and into your hearts. I highly recommend anything she writes...I think I have read them all.....some twice LOL.

Rafe 's turn
Finally it's time for Rafe's story. And it is fast paced, full of action & lots of previous characters. Kristi is just perfect for Rafe. A new character is added - Dan. He was part of another security company but has on interview with Maddox soon. I hope his story includes resolving an old military problem. Can't wait for the next book. Another5 star book for my re-read list.

Loved this book and all of Rebecca Deel's stories
This is Rafe's and Kristie's story. Starts off with a bang and keeps getting better.
Kristie is the owner of a bridal store and the daughter of a rich businessman who is being pressured to marry. After delivering her friend wedding dress she is kidnapped and Rafe rescues her. She is a friend of Rafe's girlfriend who was killed.
Enjoyed and recommend to all.

I was so excited for this next book in the series, and while I enjoyed it, I guess I expected more from it after knowing Rafe’s back story from previous books. Instead of him wrestling with feelings for another woman after being so torn up about losing his fiancé years before, he seems to just sort of fall in insta-love with Kristi. Still a good Roma too suspense, just no my favorite of this author’s.

Wow!
This is one explosive story that you do not want to miss! To think that Kristi as a ten year old is kidnapped after her Mother is murdered and how much more horrendous it was for her and she's kidnapped again twenty years later. Every one of Rebecca Deel's stories are outstanding from page one and continues on through to the last page! Now I'm off to Book 14. I love her stories, thank you Rebecca Deel!

I love Rebecca's books for a quick, feel-good reading experience with plenty of heart-stopping action and heartwarming romance. SEAL's Resolve delivered a great action plot with plenty of twists and turns, and watching Rafe and Kristi's hearts open to each other as they struggled to overcome their difficult past experiences made the ending even happier.

Ahhhhhhh, funny, suspenseful, perfect
Loved this from the first paragraph to the last. Hot, strong men rescue damsel in distress but add in guys who embrace taking care of their woman, a strong likeable damsel and the Fortress Security men in black. Stir and you have the best book around. Must read

Rafe's story!
This was a great love story about learning to live again and allowing c wound to heal. Rafe and Kristi are an amazing couple. Once again, Mrs Deel has done an amazing job telling a love story for th ages! Can't wait to read more as always!

Another hit!
I don’t know how she does it, but Rebecca has another hit on her hands. She always writes such interesting stories that I can’t put down and often read in one or two seatings. I always look forward to Fortress and Otter Creek books - so keep them coming😊.

What a totally
Rafe and Kristi was a beautiful story full of adventure and humor too. Rebecca has my attention from beginning to end and she always includes Fortress, Otter Creek and Maple Valley like they are one big series!
