The 2nd edition of A Clinician's Guide to Systemic Sex Therapy won the AASECT Book Award and Best Integrative Approach to Sex Therapy Award, 2017
Normally I don’t count books for work but I had to critique this book and summarize each chapter so I want credit for reading the whole thing 😅 This book has some helpful info but would be better as an intro to sex therapy rather than a treatment guide. The lack of case examples, gendered language, and stereotypes about certain groups was hard distracting. Sex therapists should have the most inclusive language!
I found this book fascinating! It's a shorter read and goes into depth on common problems with couples and sexual issues. It was lacking in some areas, but overall was a worthwhile read.
