I’ve always loved the quotes Nicole has posted on Instagram where I dedicated a highlight towards them. When I heard a book was being released my heart skipped with joy. There are no words to give the right kind of praise this book deserves. Each page had hit me with feelings I didn’t know how to express. Page 52 had me speechless with its creativity and page 91 &94 turned me into tears. As each page turned I felt more in touch with my feelings. For each section, 4 stages that help us grow and learn are perfect. The transition between the chapters is perfect. Each containing power. The tears I shed where well worth it. 💗💗💗💗💗💗

A neat collection of poems. Occasionally corny but pleasant. Very quick read and perfect palette cleanser.

Some quick quotes that I liked or thought were interesting:
- Pg. 69 -
“you sewed me a veil
that sweeps the floor
where your feet no longer know
you’ve married my mind
and left the rest of me at the alter”
- Pg. 142 -
“i will not lower my voice to protect your ego
i will not dim my sugar to protect your salt
if you choose to stay bitter
it’s not my tongue’s fault”
- Pg. 185 -
“dedication is more powerful than motivation
motivation says “today i feel like it”
dedication speaks for today and tomorrow and says “regardless i will get it done””

Having just completed the entirety of this poetry book for the seventh time I am reminded of the power of words. The effect they can inflict or those in need, this book has brought me to tears in relation to pain and has brought me growth in the lines of reflection. Thank you.

This is the first poetry book I cried to so hard about my ex. Not everything was relatable of course but what I did relate to hit hard.
