Mistletoe hasn’t lost its holiday charm, but David Dean and Elizabeth Wilson face other outside forces besides winter storm warnings and a meddling, conniving ex-wife.
The king and queen of matchmaking need to face their own romantic longings outside the expectations of their families, friends, and the town. Heartbreak isn’t something they want, but sometimes past rivalries and secrets do more to break down budding love than anything else can.
When David’s ex-wife comes back – again – she decides she’s going to get back together with David like nothing ever happened. The announcement is made the same day David declares his love for Elizabeth. She loves him back – on one condition, he has to give his ex a chance before they can give themselves anything that looks like a jingling chance.
David and Elizabeth have to find out what’s more important before they lose everything they sell to the rest of the world.
USA Today Bestselling author, Bonnie Paulson focuses on the drive of sweet western romances and the heros who ride for justice and the love of their lives. Living with her own cowboy helps keep things real!

I hope you have been reading this series. David Dean has a matchmaking business, and Elizabeth Wilson also has one. It has been nice watching David and Elizabeth become closer as some of David’s daughters have married some of Elizabeth’s sons. I know it was hard for all of them in the last book to find out how David’s ex wife Jennifer had an affaire with Elizabeth’s deceased husband and had a daughter Amanda. I was glad that David still considered Amanda his daughter and Elizabeth still loved Amanda. Boy did Jennifer, the money hungry woman, cause a lot of trouble for not only the Dean’s and Wilson’s but the whole town. Just as David declares his love for Elizabeth, Jennifer states that she wants him back and her family. Elizabeth is such a wonderful person that she tells David she won’t stand in their way and he needs to decide if he wants Jennifer back even though she loves David. You know Jennifer has to be a terrible person if her own children don’t want anything to do with her. David feels like he needs to find out what Jennifer is up to. I definitely did not like Jennifer and couldn’t believe all the things she did! This is a good book that I encourage you to read. I was given a copy and voluntarily wrote a review.
David and Elizabeth are the heads of two matchmaking families. The time has come for their own love match with each other. Over the past few years they have drawn closer and fallen in love. Even their children have managed to find happy matches together. Since the death of her husband, both Elizabeth and David have discovered that their respective spouses had carried on an affair for years and had a child as a result of it. David still claims Amanda as his own daughter and Elizabeth loves her too. A second chance at love has come for both them, but claiming it is definitely not easy. They have to deal with the options and objections of their children as well as David’s manipulative ex-wife Jennifer who says she just wants to bring peace and reconciliation to her family. Elizabeth being the caring, generous and selfless woman she is, takes a step back and urges David to try again with his ex, but he knows that Jennifer is up to no good. She wants recompense and vengeance, no tender feelings are involved at all. Will The family outwit her? How will David and Elizabeth claim their own happily ever after? This book provides a very satisfying conclusion.
I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
David Dean and Elizabeth Wilson are the patriarch and matriarch of their respective families. I think I might call them the king and queen of matchmaking businesses/families of Mistletoe! But more than that, over the years, they have become very close, dear friends. And (imho) a relationship sorta snuck up on them.
Elizabeth is not keen on going forward with a relationship with David – he’s Jennifer’s ex husband and Elizabeth’s (long) dead husband’s mistress. Yeah, just a wee bit complicated. Throughout the series, Jennifer has been making trouble for both families and she is back, at it again! After having read about her in previous books in the series, Jennifer is certainly a character I love to despise.
I can’t explain Elizabeth’s and David’s story as there are so many twists and turns and ties and cliffs; the author tells it SO much better, but I know my heart went out to both of them, the two sets of “children” and my “boy I don’t like her” instincts towards Jennifer. Whew! The family had another wild ride. The best news I had, when I finished reading this story, was that there are more Deans and Wilsons to come! Sweet, loving, twisty story. Loved it!
Here’s Jennifer again stirring up trouble. Elizabeth told David to try and see if he really wanted to forgive Jennifer and give her another chance. Before he could really say he really wanted Elizabeth. This book is told through multiple POVs and its great to hear what they each were thinking and feeling throughout all the drama happening here. Jennifer got what was coming to her. She thought she had fooled everyone but luckily David was on to her and so was a few other important people like those who could have her arrested. Sadly, Elizabeth had no clue and didn’t know what to make of everything going on. Her sons were very protective and supportive of her and her daughters-in-law were being very secretive and tight lipped. They didn’t want to spoil the surprise. I was so happy for Elizabeth and David. I felt it was about time. I enjoyed seeing all the couples in the previous books in this series and learning about how their lives turned out so far. I’m anxious to read about Tanya and Colt next. It sounds like we have a great book coming up.
Whew! My emotions were all over the place with this latest book in the series! David and Elizabeth’s story is heart-wrenching because they experienced betrayal by their first spouses, and they have constant reminders of the past, because David’s ex Jennifer keeps showing up and causing trouble. David and Elizabeth have become friends over the years since their marriages broke up, and their relationship has become very important to them.
I loved that Ms Paulson gave them their own story, and that their marriage brought together the two families who have been through so much. She is a wonderful writer, takes you on a whirlwind journey with an exciting storyline, and gives her characters depth. I have enjoyed getting to know the sons and daughters in previous books, and seeing them rally around David and Elizabeth in this one warmed my heart. The tease of another story about Tanya and Colt has me excited for the next book. I received a copy of this book from the author, and am giving my voluntary and honest opinion.
It was so wonderful to see David and Elizabeth get their own story and their long-awaited and highly anticipated HEA although Elizabeth sure did discover that altruism is not all it's cracked up to be! I loved how David knew what he wanted and wasn't going to let anyone, and I mean anyone (cue Jennifer, the evil ex-wife) stop him from making sure they as well as the town came out on top! This was a beautiful story with a lot of twists and turns, some crafty finagling, and a heart-touching declaration and wedding, proving that one is never too old for love! Bonnie Paulson, you touched my soul with this one. How on earth are you going to top it? I can't wait to find out!
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
I received this book as an ARC here are my thoughts about it. Elizabeth is a strong woman. There no way I could have stood by and watched the man I love see if he still had feelings for his ex,even if I was the one who insisted. To give David credit he already knows he wants only Elizabeth, but also knows its a good opportunity to try to get rid of his ex-wife for good, without resorting to murder that is. The love between the pair is obvious, but Jennifer is still a thorn in the side of everyone around her. She's definitely one right nasty piece of work. This is a very sweet romance with family loyalty and plenty of secrets and schemes.
David and Elizabeth are the matchmakers of Mistletoe. All seems to be going well until Jennifer is released from prison, she's David's ex and was Elizabeth's husband's mistress, she's back in Mistletoe and they are all sure she's about to cause trouble, but they need to find out what she's up to. David comes up with a plan but doesn't tell Elizabeth, who has told him to go out with Jennifer to make sure that he really wants to be with Elizabeth.
An interesting concept, does Jennifer get her come uppance?
I am a fan of Bonnie Paulson and of her Mistletoe Matchmaker series. The Dean and Wilson families are all about love, family and their town but when Jennifer, David’s ex, begins to cause havoc again with the family. I enjoyed reading this book and couldn’t put it down with all the interactions and relationships between the Dean and Wilson families. This is a wonderful edition to the Matchmaker series and look forward to the next story in the series. I received this book as an arc for an honest review of it.
Are the “senior” matchmakers a match? The Wilson and Dean children have known that their widowed mother and divorced father were a perfect match but when the ex-wife shows up it’s up to David to figure out what scheme she is up to now and try to finally get her out of all of their lives. (You really need to read the previous story so you know the ex-wife’s history.) Once again you will feel the love and family unity in this story. This is a great series and you will want to read all the books from the beginning! Don’t miss this new clean read from Bonnie Paulson!
Another great story in the town of Mistletoe. David and Elizabeth are finally expressing their feelings for each other but then along comes Jennifer the ex-wife. Can she be any more trouble than she already has been for their entire family. Can they find out what she is up to this time and hopefully get rid of her once and for all? Elizabeth deserves to find happiness after the betrayal of her dead husband with Jennifer.
This book made me laugh, it made me smile and most of all it held me captive. This book is about David and Elizabeth and what a pair they make! The author did an amazing job telling their story. It is full of so many twist and turns and things you would never expect but that is what made this book so incredible. I would highly recommend not only this book but this whole series. I voluntarily reviewed this book in exchange for an honest review.
I really enjoyed this second chance at love, clean romance. David and Elizabeth had terrible first marriages but become best friends to lovers. David's ex-wife is back with a vengeance. David must find out what she's up to and get rid of her so Elizabeth will know he only wants her. Can they be together? Will their kids oppose the relationship? I would recommend this book/series and look forward to the next one.
Another great book in the matchmakers series of Mistletoe. The Dean and Wilson families are all intertwined in each other in more ways than one. When a member of the Dean family comes back to town to try and win her family back only to be found out that she was already married and was only out to gain what she could for herself. This is my review and mine alone. Norma Gorrill
A well written perfectly paced story pulling you in from the start. This one about how both David Dean and Elizabeth Wilson and the matchmaking going on in Mistletoe work together. They both have to deal with problems Jennifer is still trying to bring to both families and the small town. This is a standalone read and book seven in the series but you get the full connection when you read all the books in the series.
Spend a little time in Montana and even a bit in Alaska for your reading pleasure. Two families united and divided. Some flirtation. Sweet, long overdue romance. I am eager for the next one, as sparks are sure to fly from the trio involved. Thanks to the author for providing a copy for my voluntary review.
What an amazing addition to this series! The story line is filled with twists and turns, doubt and secrets. The characters are strong, determined and have intense family bonds. Can't wait to see what comes next for the Mistletoe Matchmakers.
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book; all opinions expressed are my own.
Elizabeth Wilson and David Dean run competing matchmaking services in Mistletoe, Montana. Both have cared deeply about the other for years after being betrayed by their spouses. Their main goal in life is their children's happiness. Is it now time for theirs? Read this sweet western second chance at love tale and find out. I received an ARC copy gratis and offer my opinion in the same way.
I was so happy to read this one. I have been waiting for David and Elizabeth to take centre stage in their own book. Touching and endearing, this one had me hooked and praying for a HEA for them both. Suspense, quid pro quos and lots of romance. I love the whole family saga aspect to this series, and this book is probaby one of my favourites so far.
When the Deans and the Wilsons get together there is always something going on. From a history of adultery and lies, things just do not seem to get any better. Faces from the past keep showing up. News exposed is not good news. Plans to move ahead come to a screeching halt. But there is a plan! Another good series by Bonnie Paulson.
This is definitely not a fluffy Christmas read. Jennifer, the conniving unfaithful wife and mother of the Dean family. She couldn’t let things be and had to keep stirring up trouble. Each of the 12 children had to make peace with everything that had happened. Can David and Elizabeth have an HEA.
I have to admit that at first I wasn’t to into this story. There just didn’t seem to be much to it. Boy was I wrong! This was a great story and it actually brought tears to my eyes. I am loving this series of books and can’t wait to start the next one.
I loved this book. Honestly, I was a little wary because I’m not much for mature romances but this book knocked my socks off! I devoured it. I love all the drama this series has and can’t wait for more!
I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Great series. So badly wanted to slap Jennifer for her conniving attitude but also kinda wanted to shake David and Elizabeth at times too. Glad it all worked out in the end. I do like the family interactions.
I'm so happy that Elizabeth and David finally get a happily ever after! It's also great to see Jennifer get her dues! All the kids are finally home and I can't wait to see what happens next.
I've loved experiencing the highs and lows with the sons and daughters of the Wilson and Dean families, but to share the experience of the two matriarchs as they go through the loss and finding of love and, as matchmakers their true match, has been a great read. I am moving on through the series.
12 kids between them 6 boys here 6 girls his toss in one revengeful exwife and the sparks and fireworks fill every page. She is strong and caring he is ready to leap but has to play out his plans. Wow what a tale is told.
Mistletoe matchmakers was a great series. I enjoyed reading the whole series very much. Bonnie Paulson writes with intriguing stories to capture the interest.
