A dead body in a tub. An unemotional widow. An accused young lover.Clearly the veneer of suburban utopia is cracking in Acting Coroner Fenway Stevenson's latest investigation. This story takes place between Books One and Two of The Fenway Stevenson Mysteries.
Paul Austin Ardoin is the author of the Fenway Stevenson Mysteries. A California native with a degree in creative writing from UC Santa Barbara, Ardoin has also published short fiction and humorous essays in Bottomfish and Sweet Fancy Moses. His non-fiction articles about computer security have appeared in California Computer News and European Communications. I enjoyed this interlude between the novels. I didn't care for the rather deadpan voice of the narrator but on the other hand, it was a welcome respite from the typos in the kindle editions.
“The Coroner and The Body in The Bath: A Fenway Stevenson Short Story”
By: Paul Austin Ardoin Narrator: Alexis Marcom
I genuinely enjoy this short story that delves into crime, passion, suspense, and more. “The Coroner and the Body in the Bath,” written by Paul Austin Ardoin, was a captivating blend of mystery, suspense, betrayal, and action. It sparked my imagination and made me think like an amateur “Snoop Detective.”
The narration was performed by Alexis Marcom, and I must commend her exceptional talent. Every element was meticulously crafted, and she brought each character to life with remarkable skill. It was an outstanding performance!
I highly recommend listening to this story. Keep up the excellent work in making everything seem real. I give it a solid 5-⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ rating.
Fenway Stevenson investigates what the unemotional widow calls a murder and accuses her sexy neighbor of having a hand in her dead husband's indiscretion in this interesting novella meant to fit in between books 1 and 2 in "the new Coroner" series. Fenway solves the crime fairly quickly with a bit of help from her cohorts, especially her new friend Des Robideaux. This will probably take about an hour to read, and does it help to keep the series going. Ardoin proves once again that he is at the top of his game.
A short but potent little mystery for the reader who is impatiently waiting the arrival of book 2 in this series. Fenway arrives on the scene of a questionable murder scene in the victim’s home. The wife found him dead and blames a neighbor. She has to determine if the victim was murdered or possibly took his own life. Either way Fenway must gather the evidence and interview several people to make a final determination for this case. Secrets, lies & deception make this short story quite intriguing.
Wow for a short story this sure packs a punch. The coroner is reluctant at first but doesn't stop digging until she gets to the truth. Well worth the read.
Binge-worthy❣️You are hooked as soon as you start reading... Very anxious to read more . . . Preferably without blasphemy Next please🐿️ More and more difficult to put down
SPOILED for me by the author's abuse of Almighty GOD's Names. This is blasphemy and is NEVER acceptable. Minus 1 *
I'm looking forward to reading future stories - without Blasphemy, please
