SUMMER FLING
Summer Fling is a sweet and steamy college romance that I thought was very refreshing and fun to read. I felt like I was living vicariously through the characters dealing with new relationships and awkward situations often found at college parties. This book has the angst and confusion with the gray-area relationship status of "are we, or aren't we?" that we all love to have in a YA or NA romance. I love a good angsty novel!
Abby is a college student having just finished her sophomore year. She is an introvert. She likes to keep to herself. She is snarky and doesn't try to fit in with the stereotypical party crowd. She holds a lot of responsibility between working to keep up on paying rent and caring for her mother who lives 45 minutes away and has a lot of needs. Her father has always been gone, and her brother has also left her and her mother after coming of age. Abby is not one to let loose or take risks.
Lance is a new college graduate. He still lives with his college roommates while attending his internship. He is originally from out of state and is oozing with manners and southern charm. He has a notorious reputation for cycling through the ladies, never dating one more than once or twice. He may appear to be a womanizer, but he is always polite and treats women in his company with respect. When Lance meets Abby, there is something different about her that draws him to her. Her snippy, put-off attitude surprises him and throws him off center, but it's somehow endearing to him.
Their meet-cute happens at a college party that Abby's boisterous roommate, Megan, had dragged her to unwillingly. She didn't want to be there to begin with so she was already annoyed and tired of sitting in the corner when her drink spilled on her new sandals. As she made her way to the sink to clean up, she was bumped again and spilled the entire drink all over herself and the hot guy in front of her, Lance. Even more irritated, she attempts to dry off and get the sticky soda off of herself while Lance laughs and tries to keep the mood light and start up small talk. Abby is not having it and completely deflects him and heads for the door. Lance follows after her and offers her a ride home and so the pursuit begins...
I really loved this story. The characters both bring their own problems into the mix. Lance has to move to his home state after his internship ends and Abby has to finish college and remain a constant support for her mother. Abandonment issues, learning how to navigate a relationship, keeping attachment and emotions at bay, and convincing themselves they are just having fun for the summer is quite a recipe for the feels! I hope you enjoy this sweet romance as much as I did... Oh! I should mention, there are also some deliciously steamy scenes in the mix too! This couple is quite adorable, but they also know how to turn up the heat!

CONVENIENT FALL
I truly enjoyed reading the Players of Marycliff University series. This book can be read as a standalone or along with Book 1, Summer Fling, which rolls right into Convenient Fall. I really love to stay in a written world longer than one book, so I read them back to back and would personally recommend them that way. It's nice to get to know the characters a little more through the different point of views. We learn about Megan and Chris in Summer Fling through the eyes and perceptions of Abby and Lance which makes it so easy to roll right into Convenient Fall where we pick up right where we left off.

Megan moves into Chris and Matt's apartment after Lance moves out. She is an artist, party girl, outgoing and energetic. She loves to go out to the best parties on the weekends and live it up! She's not one to get attached to a guy necessarily and has no problems with occasional hook-ups. Yet, she is also responsible, in that she makes sure to get good grades and also tutors others. She comes from and ultra-conservative and religious family that disapproves of pretty much every life choice she has made. That being said, they do not financially or emotionally support her in any way, because she will not conform to their wishes to change her major, attend church regularly, or switch to a different college...just to name a few. They would freak out if they knew she moved in with two men.

Chris is a well-built, super hot football player and everything all the ladies want! Not only is he a player on the football field, but he also makes his rounds to the weekend parties, hooking up with whatever "Jersey Chaser" is looking for his attention. He is notorious for it. A quick hook-up and moving on. He has never really had a relationship... they never last long enough.

When Megan moves into the apartment Chris's world is rocked. He has always been attracted to her, but now that she's always here under his watchful eye, he has a burning attraction to her that he can't shake. She's different somehow. Both of them know that getting involved with each other would be a huge issue since they live together were something to go wrong. But can they fight this attraction that only grows? How far could it really go anyway?

Jerica MacMillan really knows how to take you back (if you're my age and need taking back, lol) to how it felt to be young and in love. You know, those relationships that you aren't sure about?.. Whether the guy likes you the same way, or if you are over-thinking things and getting in over your head? Should you be feeling what you are? Am I really any different than any other girl? Surely not. Oh, and what about that well-known notorious reputation?..

In this sweet novel we see Megan and Chris both in uncharted territory. Megan is not one to allow herself to feel vulnerable. She struggles with her self-doubt, and the "Jersey Chasers" give her good reason. Chris has never really navigated a relationship and he makes plenty of mistakes on his own. Can they make things work? They have a lot to learn!

I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did! It's angsty and heartwarming and sexy all rolled together! My favorite!

MANAGED HEARTS
This was another well-written, emotional NA love story by Jerica that held my attention throughout. This was a second-chance love story of two people (Hannah and Matt) that seemingly drifted apart and tried to move on after a vacation romance.

When fate brings them together in the workplace, neither is sure the other recognizes them, which definitely messes with the heads. What happens when one builds up the nerve and decides to speak up about it? Will Hannah forgive him for dropping communication so long ago? And, with Matt being Hannah's superior, can they risk their careers by being together?

Read this book and find out how they work through all the emotions packing into this sweet romance. With professional obstacles, insecurities, and the yummy angst, not to mention all the hot, sexy scenes added in, I don't think you'll be disappointed!

The Players of Marycliff University series is on the top of my favorites list of awesome campus romances. Jerica MacMillan’s smooth writing style pulls you in and wraps you up in a delectable story that is sweet, sexy, pulse-pounding goodness at its best. The characters are well-developed, believable, and I loved them all. This is a series full of great dialogue, humor, sizzling chemistry, and just the perfect amount of angst. I highly recommend grabbing this set of the first three books in the series, because once you finish one you’ll want to start the next book asap!

Great box set by Jerica, definitely a must read! Summer Fling is my favorite in this set - I love how patient Lance is with Abby and how their relationship develops!
Chris and Megan are so cute and funny together, in their story. And as for Matt? Just make sure you have a little something nearby to cool you down! All 3 reads are super hot with alpha guys and sassy girls, highly recommend!
