What a fun intro to Dr. Susannah and her new friends! I just love that crazy Bitsy, what a hoot! Her Aunt Eunice is too, and it cracks me up how many relatives Bitsy has. One for pretty much any occasion or need, lol. I loved it that she and Susannah became fast friends, and now I'm eager to start the series and get to know everyone better along with some new characters.

An ARC from the author for subscribing to her newsletter, this is the prequel to book 1 in the Chiro Mystery series which I read and loved. I highly recommend you read this prequel, even before book 1, because it fills out the early days of Dr Shine's setting up her chiropractic practice, finding a reputable contractor, and becoming best friends with Bitsy who is in the process of buying her own new business. I think this is the first mystery series I've read with a Chiropractor as protagonist.

I enjoyed reading this; I liked the characters and the storyline. It brought home something that made me cringe while I was reading it. The fact that you need to keep your opinions to yourself when you first meet someone and you’re trying to develop a friendship or any kind of relationship. You just never know how someone’s going to react. I definitely want to read the next book!

I received this book as a freebie in return for an honest review.
This story was a nice quick read, no murders, but a puzzle to solve all the same. It follows the story of Susannah as she moves to a new town to start a new life, and the new friend she makes when she arrives. Between them they solve the mystery and help each other start their new ventures. Light hearted reading.

A great introduction to a series and the characters. The characters interesting although not to too complex (which will allow for a great chance for character development throughout the series.) The mystery is short but doesn’t skimp on the twists and turns . Overall fun cozy mystery read.

I assume this is a prequel to an existing series, but this is my first introduction to Susannah. Although I really loved the friendship developing between Susannah and Bitsy, it was a bit confusing as to who was who especially the ending, where the killer was referred by two different names.

This is the first in the series and the first time reading this author. The main character is Susannah who moves to a new town to open a new office. She has trouble meeting people to help her until she meets Bisty who is related to half the town. When it looks like Bisty is going to be scammed Susannah jumps in to save her. I can't wait to find out what comes next.

In this wonderful prequel we met former NYPD cop turned chiropractor Susannah Shine. She sets up a practice in small town Georgia and runs into a mystery, it's a brilliant set up for a cozy mystery series. Loved the characters and setting. It was an entertaining way to start the series.
