Amaris I. Manning is a writer with a deep love for slow burns—whether for young adults, new adults, or strictly adults. She enjoys crafting complex characters and unapologetically putting them through emotional rollercoasters. Her stories blend contemporary and cultural relevance with just enough sweetness to soften the edges, and a bucketload of emotional whirlwinds that either tug at the heart or land like a gut-punch.

When she’s not writing or curating her next vision board on Pinterest for a story idea that struck out of nowhere, Amaris taps into her artistic side through illustration and graphic design. She also loves listening to audiobooks or getting lost in a good physical read while wrapped up like a cozy burrito in a blanket with a cup of hot chocolate, no matter the season. A lover of true crime, audio dramas, and all things storytelling, she’s also a proud Philadelphia native and forever an Eagles fan. GO BIRDS!

Amazing book.

We, People is a fun read with optimal emotions and beautiful portrayal of friendships as they evolve over time. The book is written in epistolary format, wherein the protagonist Meagan writes email on regular basis to her friend who was also her neighbor but shifted to another location.

Meagan detests the idea of change but life is all about change and only change is constant. So, with her friend gone, she meets new people, like her new neighbor who is a beautiful Korean boy. She is navigating through life, and she (a self proclaimed loner) now has a group of friends who cares for her. But what does the future hold for Meagan and her friends?

I liked reading this book. The storytelling was subtle and laidback like a lazy summer afternoon and I really liked it. The pace was just perfect for me, it was medium to slow paced. There were many characters in this book and all of them were well written. They felt real and sometimes relatable. They weren't one dimensional, and felt real and lively.

It is a nice book which will keep you thoroughly engaged as you flip the pages. You will start caring for the characters as you get to know them and story moves forward. Overall, a fabulous read. Looking forward to read other books by the author.

We People : By Amaris I Manning

My Rating : 4.8/5

⛄This is the amazing story about a young lady named Meagan Wright. Who consistently composes letters to her old neighbor companion named Lee Who recently lived in their area. Megan discloses to her beginning and end about her life. One day her mother called Meagan ground floor and recommended for her to invite the new neighbors to the area. Be that as it may, Megan didn't care for meeting new individual’s very much. There were 4 individuals in the neighbor's home. Anyway, Robyn(neighbor) got some information about the secondary schools inside the territory, pondering which ones were sufficiently fair to send their children. Her little girl named Roselle, and a child named Benton.

⛄One day Benton and Meagan were making a beeline for lunch, Donny and Moe leaped out of the blue from the highest point of the means. Meagan was essentially shaking as she clutched the balustrade to get herself while Benton was wide-looked at, attempting to pause and rest. Denny snatched Meagan's hand and caused her up as Moe laughed. As a matter of fact I like the piece of the story that is about Megan and Denny. I truly like the wonderful science between both. The primary piece of the story starts with the Philadelphia School District's yearly Writers' Competition, In any case, I might want you to discover by perusing the book, and you will appreciate perusing it more. How the new neighbors' relationship with Megan will be? What occurs next among megan and denny ? What happenes next with Lee? Who are different characters in this story, and what is their role? I reader it and I truly like the idea of the book.

⛄Meagan was never a very remarkable recluse, yet she was no extrovert all things considered. However, after her unparalleled closest companion surprisingly moves away over the late spring, Meagan needs to figure out how to traverse her sophomore year of secondary school isolated. She thinks she has an idea about things since she has an arrangement to hush up about carefully this year, Much to her dismay that her arrangement will turn into an outright failure after specific individuals come into her life. Including the severely open insightful person Donald Gonzalez.

We, People by Amaris I. Manning

💖 This book by the author is definitely heart-touching, full of emotions. A beautiful and an amazing teenagers' story that just shouldn't be ignored by any reader. A great mix of feelings that kept me interested throughout. A short story which was totally upto the mark and beyond my expectations for sure. The book has some fantastic content which is so breathtaking and full of emotions.

💖 Much appreciation to the author, for writing such a beautiful book, with a collection of beautiful narrations, and words. The author has done a great work by writing this book in such a beautiful with her complete heart and mind, which is truly the beauty of this book. The title is so apt and to know why did I say so, must read the complete book which is interesting and enjoyable. The cover is just so attractive, because these are the characters of the book, their illustrations are made to display in the cover of the book. The author has done a wonderful job in finalizing the cover, characters and the title too.

💖 The story is basically about Meagan, the main lead of the story. Meagan and Lee are the bestest friends, who got separated and went far from each other, which was difficult for Meagan to adjust with. She had so many plans with Lee. But, now she has no other option than accepting this situation. The worst thing for her was spending all her high school years' all alone without Lee. Though, Meagan is not a complete introvert, but it's tough for anyone to accept change easily and being far away from her one and only closest friend. Now, her life won't stop because of this, so she starts moving on and meets Roselle and Benton (her neighbors) who have wonderful personalities. Tbh, I love the way how author has described their appearances and their pretty looks. Now, she meets some more people in school, and the main part of the story starts with the Philadelphia School District's annual Writers' Competition, which changed a lot of things.

💖 Meagan also meets Denny, with whom she shares a lovely bond. To read more about them and where will the story lead to?

💖 Must grab the book to know more and more, which won't take much time. Short story but a must read story.

Review:

👉We, People by Amaris I. Manning Is a story of friendship. That teaches me to allow new Hellos in lives and accept goodbyes.

👉 The title of the book is really so interesting to read.

👉The cover is appealing and attractive as well.Writing style of the author is quite appreciable .

👉Life is about moving on and accepting changes. Here the story is about a protagonist Meagan, who had a normal life until things take an interesting turn when her one and only friend moves away. She became a loner who had to go through her sophomore years all alone. Being a teenager, I can understand the challenges one has to face during this phase. Teenage drama and friendship could not have been better described by anyone other than Amaris. One can totally relate with the protagonist's feelings and the things she goes through. I also liked the beautiful chemistry between Meagan and Denny. The cover of the book with a bunch of high school teenagers sitting around gossiping attracted my interest in the book as I sat down reminiscing my high school days.

👉A big shout out to author's writing style which is so easy to grasp that you just keep on reading. And this makes it easy for the readers to walk a mile in Megan's shoes.

👉Writing style is very much suitable as per the genre.

👉I found this book to be very engaging. The characters and storyline were well developed, yet not predictable.Thoroughly enjoyed the set. Character development is good.

🌸"She wanted to go back. She wanted to a be little girl again, the one who thought having fun meant being pushed on the swing and pain was falling off the bike!"
Megan had a normal life going on for her, but things take an interesting turn when her one and only friend moves away. That makes Megan kind of a loner. A loner who had to go through her sophomore years all alone. Being a teenager once, I can understand the challenges one has to face, the most important being the peer pressure.
As they say, "Drama, lies, tears.....teenage years."

🌸Teenage dramas could not have been better described by anyone other than Amaris I.Manning. There were a lot of time when I could corelate with protagonist's feelings and the things she goes through. Actually I liked the part of the story that is about Megan and Denny. I really liked the beautiful chemistry between both. A typcial story about a teenager and her life at school and at home interacting with family and people around her. A big shout out to author's writing style which is so easy to grasp that you just keep on reading. And this makes it easy for the readers to walk a mile in Megan's shoes.

🌸The cover of the book with a bunch of high school teenagers sitting around gossiping attracted my interest in the book as I sat down reminiscing my high school days. So grab your copy of this wonderfully written book and get a chance to live those wonderful and precious college life days with Meagan and her fellow companions. As it's difficult to decide whether growing pains are something teenagers go through or are?

The cover of the book with a bunch of high school teenagers sitting around gossiping caught my attention. I just finished my high school days and I thought I can completely relate to this book.

The story is about the protagonist Meagan and how things take an interesting turn for her when her one and only friend moves away. She became a loner and she has to find a way to get through her sophomore year of high school all alone. Being at the same phase, I can understand the challenges one has to face during this phase because the only best part of high school life is we enjoy a lot and these are the days where we create crazy memories.

Through this book, Amaris described Teenage drama and the bond of friendship. One can totally relate with the protagonist's feelings and the things she goes through. I also enjoyed the beautiful chemistry between Meagan and Donny.

Read this amazing piece of work and I am sure you won't regret. I just loved the storyline and the way it has been written is just amazing. Its the first book I have read by Amaris but i am now a fan of her writing. She is really impressive with the stories she create. I am definitely looking forward to read more of her books. Till then I would like to recommend this book to everyone out there.

🌸We, People is such a fantastic book for so many reasons! The story is mainly focusing on teens life, it also shares about the challenges that teens may face. Through Meagan's story, Author Amaris also presented the strong friendships that are rare to see in today's world. I just loved this book.

🌸Meagan is a simple girl who enjoys things staying the same but when her best friend moves away over the summer, changes started happening in her life. Meagan has to find a way to get through her sophomore year of high school all alone, honestly a very difficult task. She is very good with her plans. But those plans seems to be not working when new people comes into her life that affect everything.

🌸Everything in this book was so relatable. Things change but life goes on. I really loved all the characters. It’s a short and simple read of over 200 pages. Teens like us will definitely enjoy reading this book. I read this with my sister and we really enjoyed it a lot.

We always have a plan but sometimes life has different plans laid down for us. We don’t see the good in the beginning but in the end everything works out, doesn’t it? Well, this story revolves around Meagan who is not a very social person and doesn’t like change but it doesn’t matter as she has her best friend on her side and life is fairly good.

Soon in the story her best friend moves away and she has to restart her life and she again makes some plan but it doesn’t work out as well and the whole teenage drama is surrounded by her. Friendships in the life of teenagers and the complexities in their life are the main theme.

This is a story which tells us life is not static and unexpected things happens all the time. It is a short and sweet book which is quite relatable to all of our lives per se. It’s fun and interesting tied with amazing plot. All the characters are interesting and quite relatable. I loved it. I highly recommend it

Such a good coming-of-age story. It’s short, sweet and to the point (though I wish it had been longer). Change in our lives is inevitable. Meagan doesn’t do well with change, but when her best friend moves away over the summer, her whole world and everything in it changes. New friends, new classes, new dynamics. All of the plans she has changes- but that’s how life is. I really enjoyed this book! Thank you so much to the author for asking me to review it 💛 Seriously such a kind human.
