Christine Sheridan faces the life she never knew she wanted: one of motherhood, companionship, and everlasting love on Martha's Vineyard. She just never imagined there'd be such heartache along the way.
Audrey gives birth at the end of February. Although she's young, healthy, one of the most vibrant people on the Vineyard, the birth is a troubling one -- and the baby's health is cast into doubt.
This adds even more stress to an already stressful situation. After all: Christine planned to help Audrey raise her baby, to allow her to return to school and get the degree she so desperately wants.
As Christine, Audrey, Lola, and Zach wade the waters of this new, delicate family plan, and grapple with the fears surrounding a very sick baby, they find new strength together.
There's nothing like spring on the Vineyard to bring them together. There's something magical about that gorgeous sun over the Vineyard Sound. Something that assures them that, just maybe, everything will be okay, as long as they're there for each other.
Join Amanda, Susan, Lola, Christine, and Audrey as they move forward in life, in love, in family, and in friendship. Nothing is ever as it seems or as they planned. But maybe that's never a bad thing. It's just how time goes on the Vineyard.

My thoughts: I was not surprised by these storylines at all. I was hoping for one in particular as I completely disagreed with the one-in-a-million claim of the first book, I don't know what research the author did but your chances with that situation are the same as if you didn't have that situation. If anything it would be 50% not one in a million. Nevertheless, I am excited for the next book but I'm still going to read something else before I continue the series so I don't get burnt out. This could have been 4 stars but there were a lot of inconsistencies, I especially was irritated when the baby had a one-month milestone at the end of the month exactly 30 days after their birth, then in the next chapter they say it is several days later, and now a new month but the baby is celebrating their one month birthday. Did you forget when this baby was born? Stuff like that is why I can give this book 4 true stars. They are enjoyable but a bit sloppy.
Recommend to others: Yes. This is the type of series you just enjoy and ignore the glitches.

The Vineyard Lullaby: The Vineyard Sunset Series Book 7 is by Katie Winter. Audrey, Lola’s daughter, had her life planned out. She would do this internship this summer, have fun finishing her classes at Penn State, and get out and find a great job and work with her mother. Then she fell for an older guy and ended up pregnant. Luckily, her mother and her entire family has stood behind her. She has spent most of her pregnancy watching out for her grandfather Wes who has dementia. They have grown quite close these last few months. Since she wanted to go back to school and start her career, her Aunt Christine and her boyfriend Zach have offered to foster her baby. Christine had only one ovary and was told she would not have children. Her boyfriend, Zach, had once had a little girl; but she and her Mother died. Zach was still hurting from that. Even so, he agreed with Christine that they would foster her baby while she finished school. She could come stay with them and the baby any time and the baby would know she was her mother. Now the due date was getting closer. Her aunts threw her a baby shower which she put up with. They were excited so she was too. Everyone was there except Christine as she and Zach were finishing up the nursery. Her friends from Penn State had come as well as her relatives. They had a great time except she began false labor. A day or two later, she went into labor at 1am. Amanda and Grandfather Wes took her to the hospital. Everyone showed up. After she had the baby, the baby was rushed away and later they were told had Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome and was immediately put in NICUE. Then Audrey started hemorrhaging. These books just keep getting better and better.
Well, the flaring nostrils are back. Ugh. And seriously, the one sister's boyfriend is a gourmet chef but all this family seems to eat are Christine's croissants, wine and Aunt Kerry's clam chowder. All tasty of course, but this foodie would like a little more variety, thanks!
Didn't love this book as much as some of the others, but it was still a decent read. I loved the introduction of Scott's son Kellan although his acclimation to the family was a little unbelievable for a teenage boy. I like him though.
Nothing super remarkable happens in this book and maybe I'm just getting settled into the family and that's why the last book or two was just okay. I may switch genres before coming back to Nantucket.
Oh my the ending. I am proof it can happen! Read the book to find out what I am talking about.
This book was a tad heavier due to the birth complications but again proves when you have the right support around you you can overcome anything. Make your tribe with those who love and support you and don’t tear you down.
I don't have children, so I can't imagine what young single mom Audrey was feeling waiting for baby Sheridan to arrive only for there to be complications. My sister became pregnant in college too and her daughter was born over 2 months early and like Audrey the baby had to stay in the hospital and she had plenty of family to lean on, but she also had the support of the baby's father. Christine and Zach planned to take care of the baby when Audrey went back to school, but seeing the baby struggling put Zach in a dark place of pain thinking about when he lost his daughter and he drifts away from it all. I can understand why Christine was afraid to let him back in. There was a lot of pain and sadness in this book, but also a lot of healing. Grandpa Wes was sweet with his connection with Audrey and love for his new great grandchild. There are also new potential love interests. Through the downs and ups the extended Sheridan family gathers to support Audrey and celebrate the blessings.
Tragedy heartbreak, and love all mixed up in this Vineyard Sunset book. The time comes for Audrey to have her baby, however the delivery is difficult and Audrey has a few complications, as does the baby. Spending time outside the NICU is difficult for the whole family.
A bright moment is the time Audrey places her baby in the arms of her grandpa Wes Shepherd and he tears up looking at the face of his sweet great grandchild
Christine and Zach have agreed to love and care for the baby while Audrey finishes her degree. As the baby suffers health Issues, painful memories come back to haunt Zach, causing painful spermatic. Issues for the couple
Thank you to the author for an ARC of this book. This is my honest opinion.
A Vineyard Lullaby is book 7 in the Vineyard Sunset series by Katie Winter, back with the Sheridan family awaiting the arrival of the next generation.
All along Audrey said she was having a girl but when she went into labor and delivered it was a boy, but all was not a happy occasion. Baby with issues, Zach doesn’t think he can handle fatherhood after his past, Christine devastated with Zach leaving, worry for the baby and Audrey. Just how this is all going to change the dynamics between them. Only time will tell how this all plays out…
A Vineyard Lullaby sees 19-year-old Audrey give birth to her baby. There are several complications and several characters face "darkness", with Zach and Christine confronting their inner demons. Again, Katie Winters celebrates the importance of family and the idyllic background of Martha's Vineyard. This book seemed to have more serious matters than some of the earlier books, but ends with hope. It's wonderful to continue this series and learn more about the families and their search for happiness.
Grab the tissues and get ready for one of the most beautifully written books I’ve ever had the pleasure to read. Katie Winters has managed to capture all the beauty of a new birth, old love, wistful longing, and painful memories in a single book—A Vineyard Lullaby. I encourage you with all my heart to grab a copy of this book today. You simply MUST add it to your TBR list today! (I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and simply could not put it down!) ❤️❤️❤️
A Vineyard Lullaby is the seventh book in this series and just might be my favorite! Audrey gives birth but not without some complications. I really love the Sheridan sisters, their families and extended families. This book leaves us with Audrey thinking over whether to go back to school and leave her baby and with troubles in the Zack/Christine relationship. This is a terrific series and I can’t wait for the next installment. I received a free ARC for an honest review.
Absolutely loved it. This is the 7th book in the series and one of my favorites. Audrey gives birth, Amanda finds a new love and Christine and Zach have to get over a rough patch in their relationship. I could live next to this family I’ve grown to love in Martha’s Vineyard especially Grandpa Wes. There’s another surprise I didn’t see coming at the end of the book. Looking for to the next book in the series.
Not sure I can wait till the next book. I am so in love with this family (especially Grandpa). They definitely have their ups and downs, but always rally for each other. I don’t want to give any spoilers but just know you won’t want to stop reading until the end. You’ll experience overwhelming joy, sadness, and hope. Don’t miss this book. 💕💕 I received this arc for an honest review.
I just love the Sheridan sisters and their kids! This book is all about Audrey and her baby ( boy or girl? Read the book!) getting to know each other and gifure out the next step in their lives. Of course it had to have some drama - Christine and Zach - can they make it back together? Can’t wait for the next installment!
Finally Aubrey is having her baby! As the time draws near we see the family as always coming together to welcome the newest Sheridan.
At birth there are complications the rock the family and everyone attached to its core! But in true Sheridan fashion they always stand together and this story is no exception!
Katie Winters has outdone herself in A Vineyard Lullaby, the seventh book in A Vineyard Sunset Series. I have thoroughly enjoyed all of the previous books but this book was amazing. The subject matter, the family love, sacrifice, loyalty, support, and determination to reach their goals make an excellent and forever rememberable story!
This series involves the whole family but focuses on certain ones in each book. I do love this story. It focuses on the birth of Audrey's baby and Christine and Zach's relationship. The unexpected happens in this story and I had to keep reading to see what happened next. A VERY GOOD READ.
In this 7th Vineyard Sunset story, Audrey gives birth to a little boy. In a previous book, we learn about Audrey's pregnancy and her struggle of how she will be able to continue school. Her Aunt Christine, who has been unable to have children, offers to help her raise her baby so that she can attend school. Christine and Zach are happily preparing for this child to be part of their lives. When Audrey goes into premature labor, everyone rushes to the hospital. Audrey is in danger or hemorrhaging. and the baby's not breathing and gets whisked off to the NICU once he starts to breath. This causes Zach to spiral and remember the death of his first child with his ex-wife. He disappears and leaves Christine, stunned. The baby boy survives, and now the family must figure out what to do next.
Christine and Zach run the restaurant at the family inn. He is the chef, she the pastry chef. With no chef, the restaurant closes temporarily. Christine is hurt and reeling, with the family also dealing with an ill baby and Audrey not knowing what is coming up for her future. Although everyone is in love with the baby, they need to deal with all the fallout. In this story, we see some of Zach's past, which we didn't really know about. We also see another side of Christine, the hurt woman, but also her stubbornness and how she shuts out people trying to help her. Themes of family, PTSD, grief, love, infant illness, counseling for mental health and forgiveness all play a part in this story. If you enjoy family drama, then this series is for you. Once again, Erin Bennett does a nice job narrating this novella.
Just finished A Vineyard Lullaby. This was such a great book. There was so much family love and care in this book. Audrey was 19 years old and pregnant. She comes home to Martha's Vineyard to be with her family while she waits for the birth of her baby. The friendship between Audrey and her cousin Amanda is so heart-warming. The Sheridan family along with the Montgomery family makes for a fantastic book and series. These two families are amazing, and so loving toward each other. I just love this series. Katie Winters you are truly amazing.
The Sheridan Sisters are at it again. Susan is planning her wedding, Lola and Tommy are enjoying life, Christine is getting ready to help raise Audrey's baby and all seems well in the world until the baby decides to come early and everything changes. Read the continuation of these sisters. Love them.
Oh my goodness...that's all I'm going to say! Refuse to give anything away, but Katie you really nailed this book. SO many variances and still living all the twists and turns to this story
Enjoyed reading about the Sheridan family with Audrey having her baby and problem with his health. Christina unsure with herself but the family all pull together with live
I loved this book about a family who owns an inn in Martha's Vineyard. They go through a lot but love prevails. I recommend this novel highly and want to read the next in the series. Renee Goldberg rgoldberg227@gmail.com
Katie Winters needs to research NICU babies more. As a NICU nurse and NNP I had to take a deep breath a few times with the inaccuracies. Still I’ve enjoyed this series and will keep reading along to find out more about the Sheridan and Montgomery clan adventures.
