I have a secret.
A deep and painful secret that has been feasting on my insides.
Clawing at my heart and lacerating it in a slow and painful agony.

If Wyatt thinks that he can just walk into my life and rattle things up, he’s got another thing coming.

He’s nothing to me.
Scum.
Dirt.
As good as dead.

You see, I have a secret, but so does he.
It’s my turn to get my revenge, and I can already taste the sweetness on the tip of my tongue.
No questions asked.
My secret stays mine.

His, however, is about to go up in flames.
I’ll love nothing more than to watch him burn.

He better look out, because this vandal is about to paint his world blood red.

Vandal is an MM romance with hate speech and content that may be uncomfortable for some readers. While each book in the series ends with an HEA, this is NOT a standlone and the series must be read in order. Start the series with Striker: A Dark Bully Romance.

if you're thinking of reading this book, don't trust my rating lol. it wasn't bad and i liked some parts but, in the end, it wasn't memorable for me personally. Wyatt was ok, but i did like Tommy and his growth and i liked their chemistry as a couple; however, it's not a book that left a huge impact on me or can see myself revisiting in the future.

plot-wise, i think you may need to read the first two books to understand what's going on bc it seemed to overlap but i often read books for the romance itself and i didn't really have a problem with that aspect. also wth was that ending, it felt abrupt. 😳

I made a tag especially for this & added it! I'm loving this series so much. I wanted a mm so much in it & I was pleasantly surprised to get it😍. #Tommy&Wyatt❤

19 March 2021 (Reviewed)
A Dark MM Bully High-school Romance that I was Anticipating so so hard..!!
I'm Utterly Amazed by this story...I DEVOURED it in mere 5 hours, it was relatively less darker than the previous ones BUT I Loved Every minute of it!!

–Wyatt & Tommy, wow, words Precede them. The ANGST, From hate to passion, Gotta say, I adored their Emotional moments, Vulnerability & Can't forget the Omg Tension + Sexy times🔥🔥. I Love'em so much!❤ Glad to see our gang back. Our Redwood Rebels Rock ;-)
This was Rachel's 1st mm book & I want MORE!!

So our MC's are the most "Normal" outta this bunch. But they do have emotional scars too (That we find here!).
💥Tommy; Artistic, Calm, All over Wonderful, Caring; is my Fav character in the series & an amazing Artist! But In 'Heathen', he seemed conflicted, DARKER..& All his animosity was towards Wyatt (Why?).
💥Wyatt; Computer-istic, Fun, Shy, Patient; is Marni's Bestie & Out as Gay for a year. His dad owns a company manufacturing Legal *wow* Tech & have planned Wyatt's Whole Future. W'd always just Taken what Life gave, but Now seeing him Fight back? Soon Going after his happiness? Awesome!

So much had happened, Josh's Murder a Mystery strong. This starts exactly where Lars+Willa's story ended, we'd find some clues...& What's Wyatt hiding? It's now Tommy's Chance at Revenge, Target? Wyatt. This vandal is about to paint his world blood red.

Tom stopped his Friends from bullying so WHY he Does it to Wyatt now? *REASONS!!* That Changed Tommy's Life (or more like his view of it). I felt most of T's anger came from Confusion, Fear, Forbidden (or Tom feels like it) Attraction & Envy to Wyatt. T's confliction's Heartbreaking😭...
~Incriminating, Revenge ART Wall, Vouyer, Dirty bad Shane, Changed, Wtf video, Flashback, Regrets & Worry, Defend, Friends talk, T's Revenge, Spray Paint & Home drama, The Party, Hurt-No Hurt, Shane+Wyatt Break-up, Revenge Sex *Shit*, Care & Confusion...
I don't like Shane, W's (Ex)Boyfriend. Glad They broke up! FYI, Tom may hurt Wyatt, but won't let anyone else hurt him.

The Pull of T+W's so strong..! Their Attraction burned hot But T was ashamed. Though, as Truths exposed... When Tom found that Wyatt's not the bad guy but also Victim of the blackmail...Feelings got the chance to grow. That was Beautiful. Once Hate's gone, Tommy is so sweet..& Wyatt's always so resilient. I loved seeing T's Walls breaking.
~Truths & Cemetery, Kiss *Yay!*, The Note, Talk it out, Asshole (or not), Dump & Saved, Crushes & Helping, Friends talk & Change of plan, Pencil & protector, Hang out & Talk, The Cabin & Zed *ooh!*, The Plan & Tommy opening up to Wyatt *Vulnerable!*, Omg Sexy times *FIERY!!🔥*, No regrets *Swoon*, Marni Surprise & Figures, The Death Certificate, some Truths & Hope, Like & Jealousy, Asylum together, so Hot🔥, The Hold, Tom's apology to Wyatt *Happy tears*, Rock hell-Fell, Sweet...

But Then...New info is found. And There's Tom's suspicions about the Blackmailer (who'd made our guys' lives Hell)...Which Led to THE plan for finding its Truth. T's So smart😋!! Time for the Showdown! Which was More Fun then Heart-racing; Tom Planned it so Well😉 & got his Revenge *Hell ya!*.
~Wyatt's Final Secret & The photos, Hurt & Reasons, Gone too far (Tracing the Wicked!), The Party Plan, Cabin Confessions, Couple Talks, No secrets, Sexy times & Falling, Friends talk & Revenge(s) Done, Days pass, Care, App talks & Tracing, Out to Parents, Boyfriends, Willa+Lars' baby shower *Aww, Cute!*, No Hiding, Love Confessions *Yay!*, Josh's sister's gone?!
I ADORED how later Tommy & Wyatt talk, Promise & Start their Relationship!! I loved that Tommy accepts himself. When he outs himself as gay, the reactions were Amusing! I knew the gang will accept him & Gladly his parents reacted well too❤. It's HEA for Tommy+Wyatt! I'm so happy😍.

Four Acts of Revenge are Now Done.
But the Murder-mystery isn't over YET. We find major things here, get clues. Some answers, More Questions.
The ending rendered me speechless, And, Wtf Epilogue?! Why's Zed's story's coming in Later May?!?!?! So far away!!! I'm so excited for the Finale for series & hoping for the best!

___Let's Talk Friends___
It's gorgeous seeing Talon+Marni, Lars+Willa! Seeing them Living their HEAs makes me feel all warm❤.
& Zed, this guy is SOO COMPLEX. He's giving me a whiplash. Omg, his book is gonna be a Real eye-opener, I'm sure!

This book. I loved everything about this book. I truly don’t even know how to explain my feelings. Tommy and Wyatt are two polar opposites. Tommy is rough, gruff and has so many demons. Wyatt is patient, kind and understanding. These two are a perfect match for one another. I really don’t want to say much about the book because I don’t want to give anything away but this book Is really worth the read. Hands-down I think this is the best book that I’ve read by Rachel so far. If you want to read this book, which I highly recommend you do, you must read the other books in the series before reading this one. The story, not only for our main characters but all of the side characters, are interwoven into one another and it would be really confusing if you just jumped into this book without reading the previous ones. Rachel does a really good job at keeping these books connected but not in a confusing way. It seriously just keeps getting better and better with each book. I can’t wait to see where we go in the next book!

This book was jaw-droppingly good. I can't stop thinking about it.

Ok. I am going to TRY to explain my feelings....but its going to be impossible 😙
My boys.
MY FREAKING BOYS!!!
I want to say this book stole my heart but how can you steal something when you own it already?
The moment Rachel decided these guys were going to become lovers, they were mine.
Tommy's gruff exterior.
Wyatts soft interior.
With every few chapters that I read, I WISHED and WISHED these men could be real. My heart actually ached at times. The soul deep connection these boys have and the yearning for one another made my heart cry.
What I love most about this series is, it not only shows each love story separately and how uniquely different each couple is, but they are all interwoven SO PERFECTLY. I feel like I am watching the best show ever. The next and last book in this series is going to BLOW US ALL AWAY. But Vandal...MAN.... MY MEN. THIS STORY WAS SO HOT... AND ANGRY.... AND.. MYSTERIOUS... AND... AND.. EVERYTHING

Vandal is the third book and another great instalment in the Redwood Rebels series. This time we have Tommy’s story and this is the author’s first MM romance. This is not a standalone, you must read the fantastic Striker and Heathen to have any chance of working out what is going on in Redwood! The intensity levels seem to rise with each Rebel and I love how interconnected all the stories are. This one especially is like a spider’s web with all the different secrets skilfully linked together and then the conundrum is solved as the author exposes them one at a time.

“Never be afraid to take chances, but always stay true to yourself.”

At the end of Heathen we knew Tommy was drinking too much and had become very quiet. At the start of Vandal he is questioning the pact and all they’ve done, just like Lars did. He is fed up with the guys always asking where he is and only needing him when something needs doing. He feels messed up inside and is having trouble holding in his anger especially after they have found new security footage from the night Josh killed and identified another suspect. Tommy informs the Rebels it is his turn for revenge and chooses his victim but invokes the ‘No questions asked’ clause so they don’t know it is Wyatt McCoy.

Vandal is all about Tommy having a secret and is linked to what he burnt in the fire in Heathen.
My heart went out to Tommy as he battled his demons which have been in his head quite a while now. I had an inkling during Heathen that Tommy’s love affair would be different to the others and we get to see why. He was always the emotional one with a kind heart under the Rebels persona. Although he has come across as a bully, he actually stood up against the guys when needed in the previous books and we see this again over Wyatt.

“He doesn’t just seduce my body, he seduces my mind.”

Wyatt could expose him at any time so Tommy is desperate to keep what happened a secret but little does he know that Wyatt has a secret too and is petrified Tommy will discover it. Unknown to either of them, their secrets are not the same !! Tommy hates what Wyatt has done to him and feels broken. He can’t get him out of his head and fights the feelings Wyatt has brought to the surface along with shame and regret. He knows he has had a good life compared to the other Rebels but it is now unraveling. They are both in turmoil and trying so hard to keep their secrets, however, everything is all linked together and someone else knows both their secrets! There is a massive twist as it turns out this person has secrets of their own which provides good reasons for attacking the Rebels. This leads to poor Wyatt becoming collateral damage in the revenge plots.

Their connection is amazing and their time together is very hot. The vulnerability that Tommy shows Wyatt is so emotional especially as he has come across as this strong guy, always helping his friends. The way they long for each other but don’t have the confidence or trust to give in to it is adorable. The author sympathetically addresses the concerns Tommy has about how people will perceive him when he finally accepts who he is and how it’s ok to love who he wants to love.

“In a world where nothing seems to make sense, I’ve finally found something that does.”

It was so enthralling having this love story threaded through all the mystery and suspense. I love how in each book the events that happened that night involve not only the Rebels but also their love interests. I didn’t find it as dark as Striker and although we still don’t know who killed Josh, this time we do get some answers and find out who has been sending the notes and videos.

We only get two glimpses into how Zed is doing and with his book coming soon it was nice seeing his friendship with Tommy because Talon and Lars are definitely still holding the grudge against him. The epilogue sets the scene nicely for the final book and was what I expected as Tommy had noticed Zed was on the verge of a complete mental breakdown and giving up on everything. Tommy wants to get Zed back to reality as his life worth fighting for even though Zed doesn't believe it. I just can’t wait for Reaper and the pivotal question that has been the main theme throughout the series: Who killed Josh?

MM Romance
High School Mystery Bully Romance
Part of a series-book 3 of 4 (needs to be read in order)
4.5 Stars

I almost wrote off this series after book one but I’m so glad I stuck with it! This book was worth suffering through book one and even though I liked book two, this one far exceeded that one in terms of plot and couple. In this book we finally get answers to a lot of what has been going on in books 1&2 and while some of it was predictable, other parts were kind of shocking. And in this book, we get Tommy and Wyatt, the best couple yet!

Oh Tommy 🥰 I loved watching him come to terms with his sexuality and let Wyatt in. Wyatt was so patient with Tommy and even though Tommy had been lashing out, Wyatt didn’t take it personally. He just understood. I loved how Tommy always acted like this tough guy but with Wyatt he could be who he truly was and let himself be vulnerable. They just made a really good couple. I loved them.

Up next is Zed’s book and it’s going to be a doozy. Zed has so many demons and he’s so tortured. Now that I know who his love interest is, it makes perfect sense. The epilogue in this book was about Zed and it was heartbreaking. 💔

“The hold you have on me. Do I have it on you?”

I finally popped my M/M romance cherry and oh what an explosion it was! A brave and breathtaking bully romance bursting with steam, suspense, and swoon, Vandal blew me away! I was in awe of Tommy and Wyatts’ journey. A pulse-pounding, powerful, love is love-laced romance that stole my heart and breath, nearly bringing me to my knees.

Vandal is the love story of two lost souls who find each other. Perhaps this union was of fate, meant to be like a rainbow and rain, and sun after a storm. These heroes heal each other’s shattered and scattered pieces, making them whole. So brave and beautiful. Together, Tommy and Wyatt are a raging inferno of intensity and emotion ... a lethal fusion of friends, enemies, and more. It’s their vulnerability that shines the most though, hitting the heart with a force felt everywhere.

Oh. My. Heart!!! Vandal is all the WOW, a fusion of fire and feels and I felt every word of Wyatt and Tommys’ story. The slow burn, the swoon, the push and pull, the danger, and the desire ... I felt it all! This beautifully broken and brutally honest bully romance of life after feeling dead inside spoke to my soul. Its message of following your heart and being true to yourself is powerful and purposeful, a path we all should take.

Rachel Leigh amazes me with each tale she pens to life, seamlessly infusing bravery and beauty into her bully romances for the perfect light and dark balance. I keep reveling in the Redwood Rebels series, an interlocking romance of a closely-knit crew that’s caught my heart, wrapping me up in steam, swoon, stirring suspense, and soul-filled love. Redwood crew, I can’t wait to feel more of you.

"It's like you've found a home in my head and you never leave. No matter how hard I try to kick you out, you're just...always there."

It's kill or be killed in Redwood. In Vandal, the reader is pulled into the tangled web of suspicion and lies from the start. It's a fire that smolders before it blazes.

Tommy Chambers is the softer guy of the Rebels. He's less inclined to harsh behavior and has the least traumatic past of the rest of them. But he's been angry and cruel lately. The target of his venom? Wyatt McCoy. Tommy wants his shot at revenge, despite being urged to wait for the whole picture. After all, there's still a killer in Redwood and threats abound.

I was frustrated with Tommy's claim to hate "uncalled for bullying" and yet, goes after Wyatt with no proof. It seemed a bit hypocritical to me, but I suppose it makes him more real and conflicted. Although it doesn't excuse his behavior, I began to realize that Tommy wanted to hate Wyatt. If he hated him, he wouldn't have to face the way he really felt about him. It was nice to see Tommy let go and find peace, and I think he and Wyatt make a really cute couple.

More secrets come to light, but the Rebels are no closer to putting a stop to the threat. Every answer brings a new question. The suspense and murder mystery aspect turned up the excitement toward the end. I also thought it was really nice seeing the couples from the previous books, Talon and Marni & Lars and Willa, interact together. I'm very curious about how Zed's story will play out in book four.

I received an ARC for an honest review.

The turmoil going on within Tommy was portrayed with such realism that it pulled at my heart and left me wishing I could crawl into the book and give him a hug. It doesn't help that I bore witness as he struggled with his demons the past two books. Learning what's had him rattled explains a lot. Secrets will do that to you, they'll slowly eat away at you until you let them go.

"A kiss meant to be laced with anger and shame, but feels like fate. It feels like everything it shouldn't be...Twisting, pushing, biting as our hearts pound against each other's chest." - Wyatt

I don't really know how I feel about Wyatt. I mean it's like the boy's a drug that people cannot refuse. Three separate people gravitated towards him when it seemingly goes against who they are. He was the one who broke down their walls. He set them free. Changing how the world saw them and how they saw themselves. One's a bombshell of a secret that I wish I could spill. One has a secret that he doesn't want anyone to find out. And then there's our boy Tommy. Now that the story’s over, I'm still not completely convinced Wyatt was the right person for him. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed their story. I simply don't see them as the happily ever after, married with kids couple down the road. They feel like happiness for this moment in time.

Finding out answers to the pivotal question "WHO KILLED JOSH'' was my main focus. We found answers to many of our questions from the last two books yet the largest one remains unanswered. Clues were dropped and conspiracies were uncovered. Truths were revealed and new alliances were formed. Next time we get to find out all that troubles our most tortured Rebel, Zed. And I'm looking forward to how he is redeemed and what his HEA looks like.

This book IS NOT a standalone, you MUST read Striker and Heathen to understand the overarching plot line. You will not regret spending time with the Rebels from the beginning. Talon and Marni are explosive together both in and out of the bedroom. Lars and Willa are a couple that should have never been, yet when they are together it's as if it were always meant to be. And it will make Tommy and Wyatt's story resonate stronger.

Vandal is book 3 in Rachel Leigh’s Redwood Rebels Series. This is not a standalone book, you need to read the first two books or you will be completely lost. Vandal’s prologue is the epilogue of Heathen so the events occur directly after book two ends.
I’m not gonna lie, Tommy has always been my favorite. He’s the calmest of the group, the more compassionate one. He’s the ride or die friend we all want and need. He steps up to the plate, no questions asked time and time again. He’s had the most normal life out of the boys, so to see him slowly losing himself to anger and hate was heartbreaking. What was going on in Tommy’s life that he has this much rage? Honestly, Wyatt was a surprise I didn’t see coming, but once we saw Tommy and Wyatt interact everything makes sense. This couple is End Game! Tommy and Wyatt are so perfect for each other even when Tommy can’t see past his self loathing to see it. Even when Tommy is in full on “I hate Wyatt” mode, he still watches, still protects... and I am here for it! Wyatt sees where Tommy’s head is at and immediately understands where the rage is coming from. I love that Wyatt isn’t condoning Tommy’s behavior but can step away from the situation and understand why he’s doing the things he is. We find out, like I previously thought, that EVERYONE is a lot more connected than they can possibly imagine. More secrets are revealed, lives are changed, and Rachel gives us just enough answers to hold us over until we can get to Zed’s story. I have a feeling this wild ride is just getting started. Great chemistry, fantastic couple, the plot is thickening and I can’t wait to see where it goes! Vandal is a great book, couldn’t put it down and I didn’t want it to end!
ARC graciously given by the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This series gets better with every single book. I cannot stress enough how much this series NEEDS to be read in order (start with Striker, trust me you will not regret it) and as such there's not a whole lot I can say. Not only because it will spoil the overarching plot of the series, but because the couple this book is focused on will in itself, maybe be a spoiler. That being what it is, what I will say is that not only is this full of twists and turns and plot threads that have dangled since book 1, secrets, lies, and friendships and relationships both really go through it in this. And I was here for all of it. I was desperate for Tommy's story, especially after Heathen, and I was not in any way, shape, or form disappointed. I cannot express enough how desperate I am for Reaper. I volunteered to read and review an early copy of this. All opinions are my own.

The Redwood Rebels series keeps getting better and better with each book. Vandal, Tommy’s story is everything I want in a book. There’s mystery, suspense, steamy AF scenes, and the most loyal friends anyone could ask for. I can’t wait for Zed’s book and more from all the characters I’ve grown to love with each book.

In book three of the Redwood Rebels series, the focus is on Tommy and Wyatt.

It’s Tommy’s turn to get his revenge and his target is Wyatt. The two had a moment and unfortunately, someone else was a witness to it. Tommy is out for blood and his first assumption is that Wyatt is behind everything going on.

Wyatt is confused as to why Tommy dislikes him so much and has to also deal with a volatile boyfriend, Shane. Wyatt is such a great, smart and sweet guy who wouldn’t hurt a fly. Tommy, due to being one of the rebels, people are scared of him and the girls love him.

I really liked Tommy’s progression of who he became as time passes in the book. The fact that he figured it out and relied on those around him for support when he was ready was great. Wyatt and Tommy are so hot and exude chemistry. Even when they hate one another.

This is an MM romance and ends on a cliffhanger. Also, it’s best to start with Striker that way you avoid any confusion. I can’t wait for book 4 and hopefully we find out what happened to Josh as well as where Zed has disappeared to.

Things I am completely unable to pass up, no matter what is going on in my life.
1. Strawberry milkshakes. I can’t explain the weakness, but there it is all the same.
2. An opportunity to play a little Nancy Drew.

Lucky for me, I was able to enjoy both of these things while reading this one.

This town, this gang, the mysteries in the air, have had me absolutely hooked since the beginning of the series, and this book is no different. My emotions run absolutely rampant each time, tossing me back and forth almost as much as the turmoil for these characters.
I both sign in relief, and begin the cycle of hoping for a quick release for the next book at the end of each installment.

I know there’s more to come, and the author is a master at leaving us at just the RIGHT spot to almost shamelessly beg for more.(This is my plea, btw.)

I loved this one, just in case you couldn’t tell.

Every time I read another Redwood Rebels book, I fall in love with the characters even more. This is not only a story of revenge, but also a story of self-acceptance.

Vandal is all about Tommy and it's his time for revenge. We have seen in the past two books that Tommy has struggled with his demons, and now we know why. Wyatt consumes his mind and heart and he need to open up to himself to let him in.

Wyatt is confident in who he is as a person, but has tried to cover his feelings for Tommy to the best of his ability. Wyatt's dad has his whole life planned out for him, but it isn't what he wants.

During this book, we not only see Tommy come out of his shell, but we see Wyatt start taking up for himself and not letting others walk all over him. We have learned more about the both of them and why they are way they are. Plus, their chemistry is off the charts.

While reading Vandal, I was hoping to find out more answers than I did. We learned some new things and other pieces to the puzzle have started to come together, but the bigger question that is out there still has not been resolved. I cannot wait for the next Redwood Rebels book, Reaper, for answers and to finally get to see into Zed's troubled life.

If you have not started Redwood Rebels, do it. It is a series of interconnected standalones and you must read Striker followed by Heathen.

Oh, Tommy...how you make my heart flutter.

I knew from the beginning of the series that Tommy’s story was going to be a great one. The heavily drinking loyal friend who was battling his own demons. My heart broke for him and I found myself constantly rooting for him.

Wyatt, with his patience and understanding, is the perfect match for Tommy. And um, their moments together are FIRE 🔥! Woo, these two had me blushing!

Through all the craziness that this group of Rebels face, we sometimes forget that they’re teens who struggle to find their own identities. Rachel wrote this beautiful story about that internal struggle of the age old question “who am I?” She gives us the pain, the heartache, and ultimately the acceptance. Rachel reminds us that you can’t truly love others until you love yourself!

Oh Rachel, you have done it again! These Redwood Rebels are so much more than they seem. In a world of flat, emotionally stunted teens Rachel Leigh has given us a group of fractured kids who have so many layers I don’t think we will ever get to their gooey centers.

Vandal is Tommy’s story of revenge, or more like his story of exploration and acceptance. Tommy is questioning everything about his life and more importantly himself.

Then there is Wyatt, a kid who is somewhat confident in who he is and who he wants to be, that is until he looks into the eyes of the angry artist boy and can’t seem to look away.

Tommy and Wyatt’s story is going to just hit you, for me, my mom side comes out and I just want to hug them both and give them a place to be themselves without judgement. I love this series, Rachel gives us more than an angsty teen sex show, she give us a beautiful, but raw look into the lives of this group of kids. I mean there are some pretty steamy scenes, but there is so much more to this one.

Being a series you do need to read them in order, but honestly it will probably be one of the easiest things for you to do because Rachel’s ability to suck you into the lives of these kids seems almost effortless. So start with Striker and don’t look back!

Oh Vandal was so good!! I'm new to the MM genre, having only read a couple so far, but this one was so HOT! I absolutely adored Wyatt and my heart broke for him. He was just such a wonderful guy and he deserved the world. I really enjoyed reading about Tommy's journey. You hear about "coming of age" stories but that is really how this felt, especially for Tommy. They were both such great characters who were good together. The continuing subplot still has so many unanswered questions but we did make some interesting progress. I can't wait for the next book to see how this ends!
I really enjoy Rachel Leigh's writing style, it's very fluid and flows well. The words suck you in and won't let go till the end. I would definitely recommend Vandal, and this whole series!!!

Vandal by Rachel Leigh is a MM Bully Romance. This is the third book in the Redwood Rebels series.

The book comes with a warning/caution "Vandal is an MM romance with hate speech and content that may be uncomfortable for some readers. While each book in the series ends with an HEA, this is NOT a standalone and the series must be read in order. Start the series with Striker: A Dark Bully Romance."

I absolutely love Rachel's books! I was hooked from the very beginning and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I loved the relationship between Tommy and Wyatt. Their relationship took me on an emotional rollercoaster but I couldn't help but root for them. I really enjoyed that we got both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

I can't wait for the next book in the series Reaper to be released on June 3, 2021 so i can get Zed's story. The little bits I have gotten of him in this series having me fall in love with this broken man.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves MM romances, bully romances, and romantic suspense.

3rd installment of the Redwoods Rebels!! If you haven't read books 1 & 2 (Striker & Heathen)… You should reading them b/c they are connected and woven together (so you wont be lost).

In Vandal... The mystery of who killed Josh continues! We now have a more and different suspects. And this time around, we are experiencing the POV of our quiet but brooding bad boy, Tommy, and its his turn for revenge! This starts exactly where Lars/Willa's story ended. Tommy is battling his demons (we are seeing him drink a lot & lash out)… Tommy is struggling to acknowledge and accept his sexuality. It's heart wrenching but beautiful. When he finally gives in and cant hold back, Tommy and Wyatt's story comes together, its passionate, adorable, heartbreaking (at times) and sweet. ❤ But there is constant push and pull they both endure with trying to come together and be in the relationship they both want. Unlike the other 2 stories, Vandal is more about the journey of self-discovery and acceptance while continuing the mystery of solving a murder.

Though we do get some answers to a few lingering questions from the other books in the series, there is still one big mystery left to uncover. So I'm so excited for the 4th book of the series (Zed's story... this boy is so complex & dark, where is Rach going to take us! lol) to find out the truth... What secrets is he hiding in his closet?! And the biggest mystery of all.... Who killed Josh!?!?!

Rachel does such a great job with having these love stories threaded through all the mystery and suspense. Each book webs the Rebels with their love interests and linking them all the events.

I'm new to the M/M genre, having only read 1 other so far, but this one was so HOT!

Buckle up for this story, it's best if you have read the two previous books (to know more of the backstory on this group of boys). I normally are not really into MM, but I needed to know Tommy's story, and I am glad I read it. Tommy has a secret, and he doesn't want others to know it, so he targets Wyatt to make him keep his silence. Will Tommy end up destroying Wyatt? Wyatt has secrets too, but he tries to keep up his cheerful attitude, even though he has had more than his fair share of bully kids targeting him, maybe more since he admitted he was gay (last year). I loved Tommy & Wyatt's story there are so many secrets, some betrayals, and plenty of twists and turns, I loved learning more about Tommy and Wyatt, both were easy to love (although neither are exactly perfect, and both make some mistakes). I look forward to the Zed's story.
I am voluntarily reviewing a copy I received, and giving my thoughts and opinions on it.

“In a world where nothing seems to make sense, I’ve finally found something that does.”

Vandal is the third book in the Redwood Rebels series. Each book in this series builds upon the last book so they must be read in order. Rachel Leigh takes us on a heartbreaking journey of self-discovery and acceptance while continuing the mystery of Who Killed Josh.

“It’s not just my body that reacts to you, it’s more than that. It’s like you’ve found a home in my head and you never leave. No matter how hard I try to kick you out, you’re just…always there.”

This time it is Tommy’s turn for revenge and he’s determined to take down Wyatt because Wyatt knows his secret. Tommy’s struggle to come to terms with his sexuality is brilliantly portrayed in this book. His feelings of shame and embarrassment lead him to constantly bully the one person who he desperately wants. Tommy’s journey will tear your heart out and make you root for him to truly embrace his identity and his feelings.

Now I know that I never hated him; I was just afraid to not hate him.”

I loved how understanding Wyatt was with Tommy. It really helped Tommy lower his defenses and accept who he loved. Tommy and Wyatt are messy and painful and complicated, but ultimately, they are a beautiful love story of acceptance.

While Vandal answers some of the lingering questions from the other books in the series, there is still one big mystery left to uncover. Zed’s book will conclude the series and I can’t wait to find out what dark secrets are hiding in his closet.

This series has been so good! I love how interconnected they are and the surprises at every turn of the page. We continue the mystery in Tommy’s book. In the previous 2 books Tommy has been the quiet one. He’s expressed himself with art rather than words from his mouth. Well in this book we learn a lot about him and his inner turmoil. And we learn what’s happening with him and Wyatt that left us hanging in the previous book, Heathen. I can’t say too much without giving anything away. I will just say that I loved Wyatt! He’s true to himself and he really grows in this book from meek and timid to a force to be reckoned with. He ends up really holding his own against Tommy and the rebels. I anticipate this last book with Zed’s story is going to be a nail biter the whole way through until we get our answers!

Book 3 in the Redwood Rebels series
..........
“If anyone is going to make Wyatt miserable, it’s gonna be me.”
..........
Tommy is my favorite 😍 I was so excited at the end of book two to find out this was going to be Tommy and Wyatts story and wow what a story! This is book 3 so I can’t give too much away. This is a series you have to start from the beginning because it’s all tied together and a continuation of story. We get more answers but are left with more questions in the end.
..............
“You’re smart to be scared of me.”

This book follows Tommy and his unhealthy infatuation with Wyatt. A story of self discovery and torment, I loved every minute of their coming together. We find out who is behind much of the groups torment but we still don’t know who killed Josh! And wow the twist with Wyatt... you will know what I am talking about... oh boy! And that epilogue 😳 I am so excited about a Zed book!

This is the 3Rd book in the Redwood Rebels Series, so you have to read the first two to get a better understanding of the characters at play. This book features Tommy and his revenge plan. This book involves the first two sets of characters: Talon and Marni along with Lars and Willa. This books features secrets, lies, friendships and confusion?! Yes confusion, just when you think you know the outcome, bam here comes a wrench in your plan. This is a first for MM from this author that I have read and she made the book full of delight. This book was everything the first two were and more, can not wait for the 4th installment!!

Vandal is the 3rd book of the Redwood Rebels and I absolutely enjoyed it!!

As in the other books, the secrets and mystery behind them still continue but we now focus on Tommy’s side of things and what happens from his pov. I really loved the different aspects of the books and the side characters we now get to know more in depth about. Such as knowing more about Wyatt’s character and how it all goes down in terms of his emotions and the mixed emotions that comes from Tommy.

I liked the way Rachel Leigh has written these characters and their story. Tommy and Wyatt are different but they simply fit. The character development was also written well and seeing all the mixed emotions turning into something to be sure of between both characters was interesting.

I’m really excited for the next book and for more things to be revealed!!

Thank you to Grey's Promotions and the author, Rachel Leigh, for providing a copy of Vandal (Redwood Rebels book 3). I have reviewed honestly.

Vandal features, but is not limited to, the following themes:
○ Dark romance
○ LGBTQ
○ M/M romance
○ Explicit {M/M} scenes
○ Bully romance
○ Revenge
○ Blackmail

My overall rating for Vandal is…

5 Stars!

Ugh, yes!! Vandal was everything I hoped for and more! I got an inkling during Heathen that Vandal would feature a MM Romance and i was super excited when it did! Tommy is a reluctant gay. He fights himself and is ashamed of his desires and I found his journey to self acceptance to be utterly beautiful, in a brutally honest way. This is the first bully romance I've read that features a gay couple as the MCs and I was not disappointed. The ride that Leigh has taken us on during these books has been surreal, painful, heartbreaking, cringeworthy and sinful; I can't get enough! Book 4, Reaper, is promising to be one hell of a finale!

With each new entry into the series we get further into the overall mystery plot of who killed Josh and I’m here for it! The messages keep coming and that’s another issue that needs to be dealt with. Tommy is determined to clear out all of the problems on his plate starting with the guy he can’t get out of his mind. We finally see Tommy for who he really is, and I feel like I had him pegged correctly from the start. I still feel like in this little foursome, he’s the nice one. He’s the sensitive, artistic soul, and he’s seen way more in his life than I ever could have guessed. I never would have guessed the secrets Wyatt was keeping either. He’s been going through a lot too, but he’s really a perfect match for Tommy. He’s ready to stand side by side with him and be exactly what he needs. He understands and shows through his actions and words that he’s reliable and trustworthy. Their personalities shine best when they interact with each other, and they also steam up the page when they finally get together!

5 stars for Tommy's Journey!!!

I was given an ARC for my honest opinion and review of this book.

Be advised this is a series continuation so yes you need to start with book one to follow the storyline.

Wow this book was so so good, not only do we get more of the mystery that has surrounded the first book, but also we finally get Tommy's story. I will just start with I have always had a soft spot for Tommy since book one and now he stole my heart in this one.Yes he is dark at times but he was the more laid back one of the group and just had that loveable side to him and with that being said his journey was completely different than his friends. I feel like the author totally portrayed how hard self acceptance can be and what some people struggle with when their not sure of their sexuality. I feel like Tommy and Wyatt were the perfect person for one another since neither really had a loving relationship and they just have a strong intense connection to one another. This book showed Tommy struggle and piece clues together that the others missed along the way. If you want a book with a on going mystery and struggling to find one's identity along the way I highly recommend this book. That ending and epilogue was epic to say the least and I can't wait to see what will unfold next.
