Half fae. Half dragon. All theirs. Or so they say. I’m not really the Queen of Dragons, am I?
I’m just Lissa, a screwed-up ex-foster kid with a dangerous taste in men… and these four dragon shifters think my destiny is to save their world. Our assets: a can-do attitude, a hot rock, and me. What could go wrong?
When Drake walks out of a lake naked to rescue me from my terrifying ex, he turns my life upside-down. And that’s before his three gorgeous best friends crash through my ceiling. Turns out they’re battling to save all of dragonkind from extinction. Oh, and dragons are real, their magic is running empty, and there’s only one way they can recharge. It involves me, them, and the best night of my life.
I’m on board with this plan... if only the witch who's taken control of their ancestral home and my throne would stop hunting us down. When I’m thrown into the deep end, only quick thinking and my fiercely protective dragons can save me. But there’s no end to the secrets this world holds… and my past is one of them.
Either I become who I was born to be or we all perish. It's time to embrace the flame.
Drake’s Flame is the first book in The Fae Dragon’s Harem, a paranormal reverse harem FMMMMM series with MM scenes. Book 2, Gale Force, is already available. So scroll up and start reading now, and dive into a whole new world of magic, danger, and passion… and more hot dragon shifters than you can shake a frankly unnecessary purple rabbit at.
WHAT. THE. ACTUAL. F***? I can't even begin. Just... Just... What?!
I have read a lot of trash. A lot, a lot. This is the worst trash I have ever read, and the writing wasn't even that awful. I actually dealt with the plot, the cringe, and the quite pathetic MC. It was when the MC slept with one of the love interests and then immediately popped out 3 dragon eggs before the love interest grabbed the eggs and abandoned the MC. What more can I say?
I dnf at 75% because this book no longer deserved to be read.
Audiobook Review: A mythological reverse harem romance that will have you on the edge of your seat throughout the book. Lissa is taken to another world where she is helping these four dragon shifters and the events that take place would have anyone wanting to be in her shoes at times. A fast paced read that is filled with lust, action and adventure. We’re left with a rather interesting cliffhanger that leaves the reader dying to know what happens next. The narration is filled with such passion that it has you feeling every single emotion as each character is expressing. To be able to take on multiple characters in a single conversation is no easy feat yet it’s done so smoothly that you never lose track as to who’s speaking.
Good book. Quick, fast paced read. I kept being afraid I would not like the FMC but the author did a good job of balancing the reveal of magic though Lissa did sometimes vacillate between wide eyed disbelief and determined acceptance in her role as queen of the dragons. It wasn’t 100% insta-love with all the dragons but the relationship with Drake formed pretty quick. Some MM; the dragons (unknown how old) were mates before Lissa came along. Oh, and there was dragon babies being made. Fair warning, that was surprising.
Pretty good world building but I couldn’t help but picture medieval times which we’re painted with a broad brush. The castle or ‘dragon keep’ seemed really cool especially once woken and seemed sentient.
More or less medium burn - I appreciated the authors relationship building with Lissa and Drake and through things did get hot and heavy with the others it seems like their relationships would evolve in the coming books. Also well written and edited - some humor sprinkled in which helped with the acceptance of magic. One thing that was just unclear to me is who is “the City”? Are they all witches/sorcerers and dragon hunters or was that just the one? I don’t know what the issue is - maybe that will be explained in coming books. Ultimately a good story and look forward to reading more about Lissa and her dragons.

Lissa's (FMC) life completely changes when a naked dragon - Drake helps her with her Ex. It leads her to another world, 3 other dragons - Locke, Gale & Clay and a prophecy. One that the guys believe is about her. A fast - paced read with sweet guys and a little bit of steam too. Its a pretty good start that i enjoyed reading. With that ending im curious to see what happens next
I wanted to like this but it's sort of a mess. The plot is all over the place and there's almost no backstory. The guys are hiding in caves because they're on the run from a...City? They've been running from this City for years but they're only in their 20s. They're prepping for a last stand against this City, or maybe it's to take back their castle? I'm not really sure. The City can possess people but it's also it's own entity. I think?
Then there's the other weird stuff like how Lissa is the queen of the Dragons but has been missing for so long she's a legend. She's been living in the human world since she was a child and is only in her 20s but is also somehow old enough to be a legend? She's ripped from the human realm but she somehow knows this is where she belongs and these are her men so it's totally okay. Her mate breeds her without asking and then takes her eggs and runs away but she forgives him immediately.
Honestly, I have no idea what I just read but I won't be reading any more. I'll give it two stats because I did actually finish it but I definitely do not recommend.
I love reverse harems. Let me start with that. What I don’t like is the tired trope that the female lead is somehow the savior of the world simply because she has a womb. This story got off to a very odd start. None of the characters are likable. None of the characters have any depth. The whole concept of “screw me so I can replenish my energy” is cringeworthy. I couldn’t finish.
3 to 3.5 stars. I liked it enough to read to the end and then didn't feel compelled to read the next book in the series. The plot is good get the "harem" aspect felt unnecessary. She clearly bonded with Drake. The other dragons seemed more interested in each other and deserve their own "finding a mate" story.
This a new series by Melody Novak who is a new author to me so I wasn't sure what to expect it had some good parts like the book flowed well no spelling errors that I could see and engaging characters. The not so good parts the backstory for the characters were hit and miss its like extra things were added as the story went along but not in a natural progression as the story went along it was almost like a Novella that had extra stuff added to it. My other issue was not explaining of things that did happen there is a certain scene were something happened but I don't want to add a spoiler alert here its a new series im sure the kinks will get worked out as the storyline progresses my only other problem the male dragons had more romance with each other. There are some funny moments and its not heavy on the love scene's.
Lisa has a bad habit of picking looses to date and the most recent one doesn't like it until a naked guy comes up to him in the park while he's harassing lissa. Wow were did this guy come from. Drake has scene his queen and shes in danger but he has to travel to the human world to find her. What happens from there is hilarious there is allot of evil magic users some danger traveling threw portals and a Kingdom to win back.
I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book via Booksprout and this is my honest review.
This semi-world building fantasy will guide you in a journey of finding your own version of freedom. The main female character Lissa is in the human world when strange things start to happen and she is rescued by Drake and brought back to the world she belongs in. I liked that this was a semi- world building style of fantasy because it makes it easier to dive into the possibilities of what is happening in the story. No new language to learn though there are some names that are not familiar they are not difficult. Though this is titled as Drake's Flame, you will get to know a little about the other dragons in this collection. I liked that there were chapters from other views and you were able to get a full picture of the situation and how this story is structured.
Audio Book Performance - I wasn't in love with the voice Meghan Kelly used as a narrator at first, if felt very breathy and a bit whiney but as I progressed in the story it became more fluid and honestly upping the speed of the read even slightly took away some of the issues I had. Gregory Salinas offers a very deep and soulful voice which is of complete opposite from Meghan Kelly. Again changing the speed of the audio slightly helped to level everything out to a more well rounded listening experience.
Drake's Flame is a fantastic start to the Fae Dragon's Harem Series. The storyline is incredibly well-developed and imaginative; I was hooked right away. The characters are intriguing, fascinating, and absolutely delightful. Lissa is rescued by Drake, a gorgeous dragon-shifter only thrown into a new magical world where she is the queen with a harem of males. Not bad at all!!
Even though attraction, appeal, and chemistry are there, I really like that the romance is not insta-love but develops more naturally. The synopsis provides quite a bit of information, so I'm not going to go into any more details. This book is well-plotted and has all the essential ingredients to grab the reader's'/listener's attention. Melody Novak has done an exceptional job with the world-building, utterly enchanting with so many possibilities. I can't wait to find out what adventure she will take us on next.
An outstanding narration by Meghan Kelly and Gregory Salinas. They portrayed the characters' personalities, emotions, and connections very nicely. Through their performance, they made the story more engaging while bringing the characters to life. All in all, Drake's Flame was a fabulous listen, and I highly recommend it.
We start off the story by jumping right into Lissa trying to shake off her newest ex who’s not getting the message in a totally relatable scene that gets interrupted in the best, and hilarious, way. Right off the bat we are blessed with a multi-POV that clues the reader into what is coming our way. Lissa being a foster kid with not great former foster parents and a string of bad choices aka her exes, there is little keeping her around and with a little bit of intuition she jumps full force into the fantasy that is becoming her world. We get pieces of information from the guys’ POVs and bits from what Lissa learns. Some questions are answered, while others stew as more pop up for both the characters and the reader. Who the City is only briefly touched on but with the immediate threat out of the way hopefully we will find out more in the next installment. The relationship between Lissa and the guys is fairly organic feeling, aside the quick pace with Drake. There’s a bit of everything including some..big surprises. I’ve definitely been hooked.

Quality wise this is probably a 3. But i really enjoyed the jist and more uniqueness of it and it also inspired my own imagination which i always appreciate so good daydream vibes take it to a 4. While the guys arent particulary individuals theyre likable enough. And im not a fan of m/m really at all although loving rh as much as i do means tolerating it on occasion to some extent. The cringe cheese on some scenes or like exchanges is a bit much for me like the whole Im your queen holier than thou lrgit doesnt even know shit and barely been in the world less than a day and suddenly shes like i know best im YOUR queen level pompous to the 4 whove been living this world there entire lives like yeah that was a bit of a reach and sorta like tf this bitch thinks she is sorta vibe but other than a few things like that and writing that needs more polishing cause it reads a touch more like my rambling reviews than a proper book but yeah overall i enjoyed it ill be continuing the series and i hope it stays the same or better quality. I wouldnt necessarily be as favourable to following books but as its a first book i give them a bit of a free pass on cohesion and whatnot.
It was a short introduction to the world that Lissa was brought to, even tho I expected a little more information about everyones background, with the ending I suspect that is going to be more explained on the second book. And even if it was short it didn’t really feel that instalove-y, but at one point I was confused at the dinamic of the relationship, like how it was going to be with the dragons apart from drake, I was afraid that it was just going to be mainly focused on him and, the others, even if we were told were her mates the same as drake is, the chemistry and kissing and all that felt kind of subdued? Idk. And I wished we got to see more of Lisa’s powers, maybe more badass moments ? Maybe ? I wanted her a little bit more tough, she is not weak at all, just wanted a little bit more rough edges. But overall I absolutely loved it, and I can’t wait for the second to see the new mate, cause we all know he is coming.

I can’t decide if I’m being too generous at giving this book 3 stars. I think a better rating would be a 2 or 2.5.
So here is the thing…reverse harems with MM need to be handled delicately. I read reverse harems because I think it’s super hot for a woman to have a bunch of men who are dedicated to her. They love her, they protect her, and they f*** her in many glorious ways. When you add men screwing each other into the mix it has the tendency to take away from the female and that’s not cool.
In this story the four men have been together and mated with each other for a super long time. So it’s like the female is the interloper and the men only love each other. That’s a huge downer. On top of that I’m pretty sure the guys only want her so she can pop out dragon eggs and save their clans.
All in all this book was pretty depressing from a female/feminist point of view. What woman wants to be used as a baby factory? So far the only male who seems to remotely care about her is Drake.
On a positive note, the magic system is interesting. Other than that, nothing is really explained at all. The bad guys aren’t really explained. We are clueless about who lives in this world and what relationships they have with each other. We are mostly in the dark about what powers each of the dragons have. We don’t know who FMC’s family is. We don’t know what the ‘fall’ is or was. We don’t know what the prophecy says. We are mostly in the dark about everything and everybody in this world. The guys are still keeping secrets from FMC even after swearing loyalty and declaring their love.
I thought this was a good paranormal romance, reverse harem series starter. I enjoyed the FMMMM aspect of the storyline and all the different personalities of the men. I liked the world building as well. It was set in an alternate realm and had a good basis laid out. The story had a very good steam level. Not all encompassing but solid. This book ends on a cliffhanger but it's to be expected when I knew this was a series starter. I'm looking forward to what's to come.
The narration however was 5 stars all the way. I loved Meghan Kelly's performance as usual as she always shows good emotion and has an overall tone that keeps me listening and far from bored. Gregory Salinas I've been hearing more and more lately and love his voice more every time. He had multiple POV and tones to show in this book and didn't disappoint.
This was a great paranormal/fantasy reverse harem read and I find myself eager to read the next in the series. The plot was a little hard to understand, there was so much going on in the story that it was hard to keep things straight at times. The characters were decent; the female tended to be wishy washy at times swaying back and forth on what she should do. I did find it a little difficult to keep the males apart but I’m assuming that will become better as the story progresses.
I give this a four out of five stars. The plot and characters were great but there were times I got confused and struggled to keep things straight

This is the first book in a hot new dragon reverse harem series. The excitement and action started immediately and was pretty much non-stop. I really enjoy a book that grabs me by the collar and drags me in straight away. There is good world-building and character development, and there is hot MF and MM sex. This book sets the back-drop to the story since it's Book I in a series, so not all the questions are answered in this novel. There is a half fae/half dragon heroine, four sexy dragon shifters, a witch, secrets, magic, drama, and danger. A great start to a new series, and I can't wait for the next book.

This book is so ridiculous it's amazing. I'd give the book 1* for the plot. But it's serious so ridiculous. I am in a state of "what the hell did I just read?" For the past 30min after finishing the book.
I honestly can't get over the egg laying.
This book is amazing. The writing style itself is really good considering how utterly bad the story is. The story feels like a bad fanfic but with great writing. I am sorry but when I read a reverse harem I don't expect to laugh the whole time. I feel like there are some plot building elements missing. And in its place we have hot sex and.. eggs.
Truly amazing. Don't get my snarky review wrong. I truly enjoyed this book. I am just not sure if it is meant to be read like a parody of the genre.
Wow what can I say about this steaming hot listen. Book 1 by Melody Novak. It’s a reverse harem story. It has everything you need in a story, humour lots of humour, especially in the beginning, when Lissa , the heroine first sets eyes on Drake. Drake is a dragon who senses Lissa is the lost key to save his kind. Little does Lissa know she’s not human. The world-building was is very well done and the descriptions given make it easy to visualise everything. This new story is fantastic. Narration was very well done, the story line flows smoothly . Both Meghan Kelly and Gregory Salinas performance was fantastic. Their tone for the characters was strong and you can tell each characters by their tone. I highly recommend this story
Thoroughly enjoyed this book, a great start to the series, fantastic worldbuilding, interesting diverse brilliantly developed characters with amazingly strong chemistry and a gripping magical steamy storyline. A story filled with action, adventure, suspense, mystery, sexy scenes, hot alpha Dragon shifters and a kickass female lead character, drama, romance, love and one he'll of a cliffhanger ending making me wish book 2 was ready to read now. A new to me author, very much looking forward to reading more, especially the breast of this series.

When Lissa meets the sexy and mysterious Drake, little does she know she is in for a major lif e change! This is book 1 in a RH series. (There is M/M/M/F interaction) Lissa is transported to Drake's world. There she meets his other companions: Gale, Locke and Clay. They will have to figure out how to protect Lissa and also they find out she isn't fully human. Will Lissa be the savior they ne? Will they be able to protect her from the forces after her? Very steamy and interesting story line.
What a great way to start a series. This book gives so much in a short time. From Lissa dumping her ex and Drake showing up when it looks like her ex is getting violent. What a way to make an entrance too naked out of a lake wow lol. Then we get to meet the other guys when they turn up to get Drake. While the go through so many twists and turns once they return to their world, whilst fighting to take back the dragonkeep. To end the book in a steamy way but then left also with a little cliffhanger. Really great read.
The bones of a good story are here but I was not a fan of the writing style. I knew at about 32% that this wasn't a book for me, so I skimmed the rest. It felt like this book didn't know if it wanted to be fluff or serious fantasy PNR. It fell somewhere in between but didn't do either successfully, if I'm honest. Much of the dialogue and narration was cringey and a bit eye roll inducing. It was definitely a flavor of corny that I'm just not into. I will not continue this series.
DNF'd at 64%. Not a fan of a new paragraph every 1-2 sentences, but still gave it a shot. I wanted to like it, but the FMC seems to basically only serve 2 functions: sex and babies. Ugh. Boring. And she starts acting like they are all hers, even though she hasn't remotely bonded with anyone but Drake. I'm sure the series builds, but I just don't care enough to find out. I like a stronger heroine and for there to be more interest between characters besides functional sex. I think plenty of readers will like this series just fine, it's just not my cuppa.
Drake's Flame: A Reverse Harem Paranormal Fantasy Romance by Melody Novak is an amazing story to that I have loved reading. This is book number one in this amazing start to a brand new series written by a brand new author for me to read. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about reverse harem, fantasy and paranormal romance.

Loved the dif POV’s. I’d say it was fast paced romance, but I do feel like it was rushed a bit. There was lots of plot holes that haven’t been tied up yet, so I’m hoping to get some closure in the next book. Most memorable moment of the book for humour was when she used her vibrator to break the magic shield.... I couldn’t have predicted that was going to happen but it doesn’t surprise me in the least. Can’t wait to read the next one!
Lissa is trying to break up with her no good BF but he’s not listening and when he gets angry with her a Adonis of a man comes out of the lake naked and Lissa’s attention is firmly on him. Drake rescues her and she takes him to her home where she finds out he’s a Dragon and she’s not human then 3 more drop dead gorgeous guys fall through her ceiling. Enjoyed listening to this the story was good the characters are great and I loved the funny parts especially stunning the witch with a vibrator 😂
I just think things should have been explained more to her and us... The whole dragon eggs thing was so wrong... First he doesn't explain what he means and then he just leaves her! And steals her children. The author just rolls over that and the fact that it was the best time and all his mates needed him for the battle. Selfish. Just selfish lost respect of him at that point.
From the summary, it seemed interesting. However the plot development was nonexistent from the get-go and the female lead is irritating. The same repetitive language is used throughout the book to describe her in a way that became so obnoxious that I couldn’t finish the book. Seriously, if I have to read ✨giggles softly✨one more time, I might have to re-evaluate my stances on breathing.
