IF WE DON'T GET OUT OF HERE - AND SOON - WE ARE DOOMED!Roger Denton, Assistant Professor of Off-World Cultures at the Pacific Institute of Technology, visits the planet Pode for the first time, as a guest of the royal family of Tetepu, its largest country. When he and Princess Sesu, the fun-loving and slightly airheaded teenage daughter of the royal family, are kidnapped and held captive at an isolated estate, there seems little hope for their survival until they pull off a daring escape. But with hundreds of miles of nothing but jungle and mountains ahead of them, with no food or supplies, and with the worst rainstorm in the planet's history seemingly following them, can Roger save Princess Sesu - and himself - from almost certain death by hiking their way through the Valley of the Ancients and finding their way home.Lots of action and laughs in a fun, man-and-Podok-against-nature adventure. 60,000 words - American English - complete book (no cliff-hanger). Don't miss out on the fun. Get it now!

Great sci fi adventure

It's refreshing to read an imaginative sci fi adventure that doesn't rely on the three Ds: doom, death, and destruction. Roger's second adventure gives a look at the planet of Pode, which is filled with fascinating Podoks and strange creatures. The story is often lighthearted but has its serious and thrilling moments. Sesu is a wonderful character, and I'm enjoying this series.

Fun, Breezy Sci-Fi Adventure

This was a light, fast-paced read. While visiting an alien world, a human is accidentally swept up in the kidnap of a teenage alien princess and must help her escape and survive. Lots of wholesome fun ensues in a lighthearted, but still suspenseful, romp through the jungles of the planet Pode. Although this is book 2 in a series, it was easy to pick up without having read the first–although I enjoyed this enough I will probably pick up the others in the series.
