The book begins in Nov. 2016 & then goes for a flashback to the era of 1948 & ends in the

Some sections cater to Adult fiction 🔞. There is also use of vernacular words, foul lang., at

Although marked as fiction, the detailed & descriptive narration & the backdrop of some real

glimpse of the Hindi film industry, in this book,
_______
A treat for bollywood fans who love action, romance, masala, climax & some filmy , unrealistic
fiction.
A book, a read that will give you quite a hangover.
Aspiring actors, here's something inspirational for you.
Right from the title font, to the colour scheme on the cover, everything is in line with the era
talked about in the story.
It added to my knowledge of filming & camera. Terms like "taking light", "blocking", "invisible
fourth wall" etc were new to me.
______
Would you like to run a tavern cum bookstore in the hills?
What's your passion in life?
After the movie has finished, do you insist on staying back till the end credits finish
rolling?
Apart from cricket, what is India's greatest obsession?
______
The Crux:
The book is like an autobiography of the protagonist "Zoravar" who aspires to be a movie star. A
boy next door but he sure has some great looks & a charming personality.
Life happens, with it's twists & turns, Zoravar is thrown into bollywood when he least expects it.
From crime to becoming an actor,
from struggle, flops, basic survival to becoming a star,
from love to affairs to marriage to extra marital affairs,
from fooling death 3 times to getting tangled in it's fangs the 4th time,
from a street kid to a gangster to a struggling artist to a movie superstar to a politician,
Zoravar had felt it all.
_____
ZORAVAR is one strong character. He is passionate, smart, witty, charming, is ambitious, an
achiever, with a magnetic personality, strong minded, but weak over matters of the heart. He is
well versed with tactics, strategies & tricks, a quick learner but is indulgent. He has no control
over his senses n vices.
"Talent is God- given, passion is not. It either came from within or it didn't, and that made all the
difference between success & failure."
_____
I was amazed at the author's knowledge bank about films & film- making. He mentions names of
literature icons like R.K. Narayan, Dostoevsky, Audrey, Hepburn, Lenin, Tolstoy in the book. That
made this read a complete manuscript for a blockbuster movie.
I am amazed & applaud the author for his content & a keen eye for every minute detail.
_____
Not everyone's cup of tea but sure a perfect read for a bollywood fan & a reader who has an eye
for detail. An inspiring read nonetheless.
The ending is a cliffhanger, giving way to the next part in the series.
