I was expecting a book about patience, but this book felt like it was focusing on mindfulness and anti-anxiety more than being patient.

While mindfulness it certainly a part of patience, it seems like a good chunk of the book. Some of the tasks just seem like "fun distraction techniques" and others focus on breathing and mindfulness. While there are some helpful tips in this book for slowing down and taking time for you, there's lots of things I don't think would be particularly useful in the moment. Especially if I'm driving or in the middle of a meeting or something I don't see myself saying yes let me just lay on the floor for two minutes or pop into a yoga pose to do some breathing.

Not a bad book for mindfulness ideas, but overall not for me.

Not usually a fan of quote-heavy books, but I didn’t mind that for this read. There was some gems in regard to patience & it’s importance in our every-day lives, so I figured I would list a few of my favorites below:
“Two things define you: Your patience when you have nothing and your attitude when you have everything.”
“No road is too long to the man who advances deliberately and without undue haste; and no honors are too distant for the man who prepares himself for them with patience.”
“The two hardest tests on the spiritual road are the patience to wait for the right moment and the courage not to be disappointed with what we encounter.”

I loved this book even though I think it was funny that the book is called the book of Patience because someone with bad patience might not want to read this book, I read it with my mom and it helped me a lot when I get into a situation when where I need to be patient. I definitely recommend this book.

While there were some mindfulness and self regulation strategies that were new and insightful to me, I was overall disappointed in this read.
The concept of patience is very loosely utilized and focuses more on strategies centred around: general mindfulness, emotional regulation, stress and anxiety.

This book had lots of good tips and tricks to more patience. I’ve used several of them and I have noticed a difference in my level of patience when I remember to use them. Definitely recommend for people who are challenged on this area.

I skimmed through it after reading half way. It does provide helpful tips, but more so appeared to be more about ways to negate anxiety.

This book is collection of instances in daily life to cultivate patience..for example before eating, look at the food in your plate and pause for a moment. Got bored after 60 odd pages.
