8.5/10 A very strong but also unique start to the new arc with a new area to explore. I really enjoyed all the characters that were introduced in this volume from Todd to Abel , and i am very excited to learn more about their backstories since they seem to be very important figures in their own kingdoms etc However i do think making rem act in the way she did was a little to overplayed in some aspects, hovewer i do undestand where she is coming from since she has been bassicaly been put in the shoes of amnesia subaru but even worse since she doesnt even know herself to begin with.. In general i do really enjoy the dynamics beetwen all the characters and i am curious to learn more about shudrak since they also seem to have a lot secrets that subaru hasnt yet found out. Abels final scene in the volume also made me a lot curious about what his true intentions are and if we should trust him or not (probably the latter) Finally i love how this arc takes a completely different turn and doesnt follow the standard rezero formula. We still have know idea how to return back to the kingdom and why the teleportation happened in the first place, as well as who the vilain of the arc is (i assume Vincent but idk yet)
I love love the story. I don't particularly like the writing. However, I think this is the first time I read a web novel, so maybe I'll get used to it.
This book had one of the best pacing out of all arcs’ for an introduction to a new storyline. I wasn’t expecting it to be this packed full of action and mystery just from the start, it didn’t feel like a start up at all. It kept me awake all night, I couldn’t stop reading it (once again). I love love how this arc is about making Subaru learn about losses (just like arc5) and making him realise not everything in life is within his control even when he can return by death. My recommendation for you is to read the side stories, because I was so so looking forward to people recognising who Subaru is because basically he is not how/who he is when he first got isekaid, he achieved many things and I believe he has made a name after himself. And actually he gets recognised (but they don’t believe Subaru, they think he uses it as an alias) but this is mentioned in the side stories.
I’m giving this four stars- only because of the lack of other side characters that I love, plus I hate the female character designs :(
