Love a good short Grey story

If the heart wants what the heart wants was a person, it would definitely be Kincaid. You gotta give it to this dude. He didn’t let his best friend’s betrayal stop his plans one bit. He knew Sulphur was his one so, Kincaid waited patiently on the side for four years for his former BFF to f*ck up and fumble the bag. When he did, he was right there to pick it up, pursue his girl, and get her back. This book may not have been a conventional love story but, I was here for the peace and quiet Kincaid and Sulphur brought to each other.

That first date?!? Where’s my peace and quiet?? Yea Grey really be doing these novellas! Love so sweet between Sulphur and Kincaid. I’m glad Kincaid clarified his intentions and they were able to have their HEA!❤️

Be my Peace
"She had two options, be with me, or be with me."
That was the type of BDE Kinkaid was bringing when it came to Sulphur. After admiring her for years in the cut, his time was now. Their time is now. I love how he pulled up on her and even though he was rough around the edges he softened his approach for her. Everything was for and about her, because she was his peace. When the raggedy azz past shows up, I wasn't ready for that plot twist but I loved how it all turned out.
This was a short story done right. It gave us the conflict, the love, the progression and an ending that did my heart good. Well done Grey. You are still the reigning Queen of descriptors that have me feeling the characters emotions.

All of you trifling ass bitches are gonna have to form a que so I can express my anger as well. Since y'all's silence was so fucking loud.
If you don't know, I enjoy going into a book with just the bare idea about the book and if it's a new author with the barest info ever. So imagine how flabbergasted I was when I realised this book wasn't even 100 pages🙂.
Nobody told me squat!!!! So Imma be bitter towards everybody now.
The book was good though - it was a good novella (is it a Novella? I'm calling it that cause it's short so meh) Grey can write er arse off. This was super short but it was a good short story. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a Lil cute thang

This was a cute story! Kincaid waiting 5 1/2 years to be reunited with the woman that stole his heart due to his low down dirty dog of a “best friend”. When you know, you know and not even time can change that. I’m glad Sulphur opened her heart to love again! They both deserved true happiness.

A short and beautiful love story. This was so cute. Love Kincaid and Sulphur together. He waited over five years to confess his love to her. He was everything she needed.

First of all, she overreacted finding out he was cool with her ex 4 years ago!! Like yeah he shoulda told her but who really cares enough to break up with someone who apologized and had barely any flaws beyond that?!? Alsooo he broke the toilet to test her pee to see if she was pregnant??? Instead of just going directly through her ? Definition strange! Other than that, cute insta love book!

I was nervous because i read some really Mean reviews of this book but I don’t feel them lol. I feel the complete opposite. I get everything ain’t for everyone but this was good. Sulphur was trying to protect her heart like anyone would after being hurt so her being a bit whiny didn’t bother me at all and honestly I didn’t even find her whiny I thought she was a woman in touch with her feminine energy and perfect fine. I loved that Kincaid was as adamant as he was. He truly wanted her for years and even went as far as cutting his friend off for snaking him over her and doing her wrong. That truly speaks to his character because he didn’t want to watch her be hurt by a clown so he removed himself. He waited for her to be done, have time to possible heal, & then stepped to her. He was forward but he also didn’t play with her. From the beginning he was concerned with how she felt and making her feel better. He was perfect. I glad she didn’t allow that small tiff to keep her from him.

Kincaid had been waiting for just the right moment to approach the woman that captured his attention 5 years ago. His approach was unorthodox and caught SoSo completely off guard. But when your spirit knows it knows and opens. Loved this Grown Woman allowing herself to be loved by this fully Grown Man.

This was weird (a bit creepy and I am wondering if I am the only one who thinks so, based on the reviews) , but I don’t think it was bad. I will take it as the fictional story that it is and not think too about it because it was a good distraction for me.

As much as I’m not a short story girlie, the one thing I know for sure is Grey is gonna give us everything in those short pages. Sulphur & Kincaid was everything. Sulphur stood on business, said what she wanted and was shocked af when Kincaid made it happen. He gave no push back even when she asked for a BGS. Cause who asks for that in order to go on a 1st date. WHEW!
Kincaid knew Sulphur was for him and he wasn’t backing down or losing her again. I loved how Sulphur made Kincaid own up to his omittance and they come to an understanding of how to move forward. The way Kincaid LOVED Sulphur was so refreshing after what she had been through. The epilogue was elite. Kincaid was TOP TIER!!! Yes I loved this novella down.

This was a good little novella (Kincaid x Sulphur)

That’s the type of energy, Kincaid was rolling with. He had been waiting for his time, and he wasn’t going to ruin his chances at getting the woman that he had set his eyes on from the get.
They had a connection from their first date, and it allowed S to Sulphur to be comfortable and her true self. Her boundaries went out the window, but the moments that occurred were well worth it this time around.
A secret almost kept them apart, but their feelings for each other was too strong for it to break them apart.
Grey you did your thing with this one!

A gentle storm of emotions. Peace & Quiet is anything but quiet when it comes to tugging at your heart. Grey Huffington delivers a fast, emotionally rich read filled with longing, unspoken truths, and a love that simmers just beneath the surface. The chemistry is subtle but undeniable, and the characters feel raw in their search for healing. A beautifully understated story that sneaks up on you and stays long after the final page.

This was so cute! This was my first ever short story, so it got some getting used to in terms of pace and how short everything is. I enjoyed reading about Kincaid & Sulphur, their chemistry & the sex, whew cray off the jump.

Listen I love Grey Huffington to death but this was a bit off putting and a bit creepy. Based off reviews I was like yes a good novella to pull me out my slump. It wasnt a horrible read but I wouldn’t recommend it. Kincaid came off a little stalker like but I mean he was going after what he wanted. I’m trying to take it as the fictional story it is but ehhhh. I also didn’t think the way he spoke to her was “romantic”. Hopefully I read another Grey Huffington book that reminds me of how much I love her books.

An actual sentence from the book :
“Her deep, dark tone made it obvious that two melanin carriers had done well for themselves and produced a masterpiece.”
What even ?!?!?

Nothing about this love story was cute. Sulphur was whiny and lacked boundaries and Kincaid was childish, cocky and controlling. He was always lead by his “urges”
From the moment he pulled out his lil dime bag and grinder in her place of business would’ve been a hell no for me. Because how old are you sir, that can’t wait…?
His attempt at love bombing her was frequent with cussing and commands.
Her silly a$$ thought it was endearing, bless her heart.
He came off real unhinged and stalker like when she benched him.
Wanting to kick her door in
Talking about she only has two options, being with him and being with him.
Soso was flaw as hell for giving his Keith Sweat begging
a$$ a key to Sulphur’s apartment
And him immediately getting naked as soon as he entered was definitely giving if you don’t give it to me ima take it.
Whew Bless the soul who played with their Pearl to this one because baby this ain’t it. 🥴
May this type of love find the nearest prison yard

GH! I wondered about this Kincaid guy walking into Sulphur's place of business, like he was familiar with her, and she not a clue who he was. However, he was sweet and really seemed to want to spend time with her. He had her hooked after one date, and the whirlwind commenced. Everything was wonderful, until it wasn't. Was shocked by the revelation that was made. How Kincaid knew of Sulphur; and from whom, she was devastated! She put him through it, but he was not taking that L! He wanted to love her forever, and was not backing down until he won the prize. The love that they shared in that short amount of time was beautiful, and magical! Hope we get a chance to see more of them in the future. Great read! 👍👍👍

This book was good...my only complaint was the heroine's disappointment that the hero & her ex used to be friends. Too much energy wasted. I mean her ex was a clown... Kincaid was the best thing that ever happened to her. Talk that mess out & get back to loving one another. Just my opinion!! Almost gave this a 4 star but then thought... everything else was too good to downgrade due to MY frustrations.

Another hit!
Grey comes through again with another short romance story. I loved the way that Kincaid actually listened to Sulphuric and gave her exactly everything that she wanted. Her ex was a complete joke and I’m glad that she finally gave Kincaid another chance. My only wish is that it wasn’t long enough. I’d definitely recommend reading this book.
