Clark

The second that my eyes landed on hers, I knew deep down, there was something different about her. Somehow, she’s the only one that’s been able to get through my reinforced walls that I’ve built around myself, and it terrifies me to even consider taking them down completely.

The things I’ve seen and done, no one should have to carry that burden. Even if I desperately want to rid myself of it, I just can’t let it go. Morgan Price might be the one to ultimately save me from my demons, or the very one that sends me over the edge.

Morgan

Tragedy and misery both come in many different forms, so I’ve dedicated my life to helping those, suffering from it. The moment I met Clark Harlow, I just knew he was the one that I had to save, no matter the cost. He’s more than his past, as well as the many demons he’s also trying to hide.

Although I understand him, unlike many others, the walls he’s built around himself stop him from fully accepting what’s right in front of him. The passion and attraction I feel, only grows each and every time we’re together, but is it enough? Am I enough to free him of his pain, or will the past come back to consume us both?

***Trigger Warning: Clark contains scenes dealing with: PTSD, anxiety, depression, and thoughts of suicide. Please be advised and use caution before reading.

Last night, I finally wrote THE END!
I'm so overwhelmed with so many emotions, but I'm so glad that I finished.
Clark's book is so raw, real, and gut wrenching, but this is by far my best work yet.
I didn't expect this book to go the way that it did, and I'm very excited how it turned out.
Fair warning, you will need lots of tissues with this one. Especially, if you've been following the series since the beginning. You just might hate me for a bit, too.

Clark is book #4 in The Harlow Brothers. This story is so intense, raw, and emotional. Clark has PTSD and is struggling everyday with it. His new therapist Morgan, has dealt with her own demons. The moment these two meet, they are drawn to one another. Will Morgan be able to help Clark? Is Clark willing to try? I like how the Harlow family is interconnected in eachother stories. I have read all the stories in this series, and Clark's is more in depth than the others. It showed Clark's struggle, of just getting up everyday, feeling lost, desperation, and no one understanding him. Thank goodness for Caden, that guy has no filter, shit just gets spewed out of him. But he did lighten the mood for me, when I needed it. One more brother left, and I can't wait for it.

Wow! Think Clark has broken me. It’s very rare I struggle for words.

I’ve followed this series since the very beginning. Falling in love with all the characters and their stories. Now Clark has stolen my heart. His story was something else! It wasn’t all sunshine and roses. It was a roller coaster ride of emotions. I have the biggest book hangover after finishing. So make sure you have the tissues at the ready guys.

IT WAS AMAZING! Is all I’m going to say.

I've been waiting for this book for a while now and I can't find the words to describe the way I was feeling when I got it.
It was a mixture of nervousness and at the same time curious as well.
Brie Paisley is freaking awesome and her books show just that.
Her writing is raw and wild, sweet and intense with a touch of hotness into the mix.
You can feel things go while reading her books. Clark is her latest release and it's the fourth book from The Harlow Brothers series.
Have you read this series? If you don't I advise you to do it now, read each book by order and then grab this one. I guarantee you that you'll love it.
This new book explores the lives of Clark and Morgan.
Clark is a former military man. He's home now but his soul was left behind. The thing he had done and seen transformed him into the shell of what he used to be.
How can you move forward when your past keeps pulling you back?
Morgan has a huge heart. Her life revolves around the people she helps daily.
One look at Clark and she knew that he needed her help.
But how can you help someone that doesn't want any help?
OMG, my heart hurts so much right now.
This book was stunning, perfect and so much more.
Spectacular plot, very well written, super engaging, and intense.
I'm so stunned right now that I can't form the proper words to make it justice.
How can someone be so broken that they can't breathe? How can you move forward when you have your past dragging you back?
How can you struggle to break free?
There were parts of this book that tears would come so strong that I couldn't continue, but then there were others that I laughed too.
Not everything is lost when you have someone willing to fight for you.
This book explores some themes that must be taken seriously. Don't look away. Do something. Help.
Guys... Hot stuff alert... Dayum... Panties wet and all. Lol
This book has a special place in my heart and well as in my soul.
Great book Brie. Perfect in every way.
Can't wait for the next brother.   I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Clark is book four in The Harlow Brothers series, and it has destroyed me. I have never been one to show my emotions or really cry and I am not ashamed to admit I cried my eyes out when reading Clark’s and Morgan’s story. It is such an intense, raw, and an emotional heart-breaking story of two broken lost souls finding each other and helping the other heal.
Clark is a lost, broken soul who served his country and is now suffering with PTSD and is struggling every day in normal society. He has tried so many therapists to help him overcome his problems, but none seem to know how to help, and Clark is slowly losing his battle, that is until he meets his new therapist, Morgan.
Morgan has moved back into her family home. A home she has not been in since she was 6 years old and suffered a heart-breaking loss that no child or anyone should have to go through. On her first day as the town’s new therapist, she meets Clark and as soon as they set eyes on each other there is an instant connection and spark that both never expected.
I do not want to give to much away as do not want to spoil their story but what I will say this will take you on such an emotional ride and will leave you speechless with the worst case of book hangover, but it will be worth it.

Clark is book 4 in The Harlow Brothers.
Morgan's family is killed in a car accident by a drunk driver. Needless to say this poor girl had it rough. When she got older she became a therapist for people suffering from PTSD and survivors guilt. While doing this she realizes she needs to start living her life again and she moves back to her hometown where she starts work at a VA clinic. Clark has PTSD and is struggling more than he lets anyone see. Morgan is his new therapist. When these 2 meet its like instant fireworks. I don't want to give any of the story away, just know this book will take you on an emotional ride. I swear I have never had a worse book hangover but its totally worth it! And the spice, OH WOW. Its so dang good!!! All I know is that everyone needs to read this book. And hats off to Brie Paisley for writing such an emotion filled book! You rocked it!!!

My heart will never be the same!

Clark is a story of a man struggling with PTSD. He is lost now that he is home and haunted by the nightmares that remind him over and over of the failure he is.

Morgan has her own demons and is dealing with them as well. Determined to make something of her life after tragedy strikes her family at a young age, she is strong and compassionate. She returns to her childhood home to decide whether to stay in the town that she knew as a child.

Morgan is Clark’s saving grace. Their connection and intuition of each other is strong. It is more than kismet. This story is real and not for the faint of heart. It has trigger points, but they need to be told and this author does it tastefully and compassionately. Clark will break your heart into so many pieces, but the way Ms. Paisley puts it all back together is worth it with this story.

Just Wow

I don’t even have words for how good this story. It broke my heart and put it back together again. Being inside Clark’s head while he battled his demons was some of the most emotional stuff I have read in a long time. Knowing that this is something that so many struggle with on a daily basis and how well it was written just blew me away. I read this in one sitting because I was so anxious to see how Clark overcame his demons and it was so worth it.

I also loved seeing other important events happen with the Harlow family throughout this story. As much as I love Carter and Clark I am very excited for Cason’s story. I have been waiting on his story since book 1.

This one was so emotional. It's hard reading stories where one or more of the characters have PTSD. But in Clark's case, I think his perfect love interest is his therapist, Morgan. She can not only relate to his trama, but she has the tools to help Clark deal with his demons. The story is passionate in so many ways. It's also heartbreaking. Despite having people in one's corner, sometimes the battle is brutal. It was eye opening and heartwrenching all at the same time.

I fell for Clark right away, at one point I was crying so hard I had to put the book down. I couldn't see the words no more. Someone I love lives with PTSD so this book really hit close to home for me. This book is a must read but just make sure you have tissues.

This book started off a little slow for me, but once I understood the turmoil these two characters have been through I was able to get involved in the story. I loved the tension between Clark and Morgan, as they tested each other. The passion was hot and intense! This is an excellent book that Brie has written!!!

Wow. Clark was such a heartbreaking book! It was so raw and real, telling a story that so many suffer from the same issues. Add in the issues that Morgan had to overcome in her life and you have a couple that will need every bit of the others support. While I've lived the other books in this series, this one is my favorite. I love a book that will tear you apart, but fix you in the best ways possible also.

While Morgan might still have her own demons and PTSD to work with, she couldn’t have chosen a more admirable career for herself to help others with their own. She really understands what they have to deal with, from her own experiences and it makes her a great therapist. Clark isn’t sure what he wants in life, besides the emotional pain to go away, but when he starts working with Morgan, can she help him see the light at the end of the tunnel? If you are looking for sn intense, emotionally-driven book, this is one that I would recommend.

I knew Clark’s books would be rough.
I knew he had been through some stuff.
But good Lord I was not waiting for this!!!!

I have loved all of the Harlow brothers and their stories, but this one had me wanting to hold Clark and tell him he can get through it and all would eventually be ok. My poor heart. Clarks poor heart. And mind for that matter.

Woooooo...Brie sure did take my heart on a ride.
And I wouldn’t have it any other way.
The Harlow’s are one of my favorite families and I’m both anxious and scared for the next and last book.
I NEED Cason’s story.
But I don’t need this series to end.

THIS BOOK! I think this is definitely my favorite. I am far from an emotional person let alone an emotional reader, but this book tore me apart. I knew Clark was going to surprise me, but I was not prepared on what it was going to be. I love Morgan and the strength and support she had for Clark. I still cannot put into words how I loved reading this. I thought I knew what I wanted to say, but nothing I can think of express how amazing this book is.

I was really, really, REALLY looking forward to Clark's book. He has been the dark brooding type throughout the series and I knew he was harbouring some dark thoughts. Boy did he go through it in this book. Morgan - his therapist - was his anchor on so many levels. They were connected beautifully. There was a few moments that made me gasp, because it was tense moments. But all in all I enjoyed the book. I like the Harlow brothers. I can't wait for Cason's story next.

Oh my goodness!! My heart!!

Clark Harlow is my favorite Harlow brother. I never thought I would love any of them as much as Carter. I was so very wrong. I love all the Harlow boys but Clark will always hold a special place in my heart.

Gah!! My heart broke for Morgan and Clark! These two were so perfect together. The way they just bonded and knew. It was beautiful. And can we just agree that Clark's alpha tendencies were sexy as all get out. Panty melting.

Full of heartache, heart break, passion, and healing. One thing that stands out above the rest is these two characters have such a great love for each other. I literally couldn't stop reading! I loved every single moment. Even the heart shattering ones.

An absolute MUST READ! GRAB YOUR TISSUES!!

Oh my....what an emotional roller coaster. Those of us that aren't in the military or have immediate family members in the military, don't truly grasp the demons and PTSD some of our soldiers wrestle with once they are back home. Or how that ultimately affects the families and close friends. The author dives into this world and introduces it to you in a way that breaks your heart while making you love the hero that much more.

Having lost her entire family in a car accident as a child, Morgan knows her fair share of grief, trauma and PTSD. And that's what drives her to be a therapist and working with the VA. When the opportunity arises to work at the VA in her hometown, Morgan jumps at the chance, knowing being back in that community will help her heal.

Enter Clark. Numerous therapists have tried to help him, but wasn't able to reach him. He's withdrawn from his family and friends.....and doesn't like feeling this way. He decides to give the new therapist a shot. What he doesn't expect is the immediate attraction and connection he feels with Morgan.

Morgan chips away at Clark and he slowly begins to open up. The two can't fight what they are feeling and begin a very intense relationship. On one aspect, Clark seems to be getting better, but at the same time, he's not willing to do what it takes to get to the root of his demons. The downward slope starts and Clark finds himself alone with a pistol in his mouth.

Can his family and Morgan save him? Or is he lost to his demons forever?

Dont forget your tissues

Book 4 in the bar low Brothers series. I have read this series from the first one and this is by far the most heart-wrenching one.

This was kind of a hard read. While the story was good, it was very emotional at times. There were also a lot of typos, grammar and punctuation issues, and repetitive phrases making it difficult to continue reading.

The H (Clark) is a recent military veteran suffering from PTSD. The h (Morgan) is a therapist working at the local VA for veterans who occasionally suffers PTSD from a childhood incident.

Things progress and get very heated between the two quickly as they come to know how much they have in common, but of course, things can't all be perfect in their little world. While she tries to help him see that he isn't alone and has a family to lean on, he feels very much alone in his suffering and believes that it is his burden to carry.

There are triggers and things get pretty dark between the two and so the story turns very emotional. Luckily we have Caden to break up the heavy.

Clark, book four in the Harlow Brothers series follows Clark Harlow and Morgan Price. Clark was in the military, and though now he is back home, he suffers from PTSD. Morgan is also back home, working as a therapist, she has a huge heart and just wants to help people deal with trauma in their lives. When Clark tries to find another new therapist to help with his struggles, he is slowly beginning to give up hope, that is until he meets Morgan. But what happens when you try to help someone so broken they can’t find a way back from the darkness? Will Morgan be the light Clark needs to pull him towards a new future?

Entirely too much sex for me. I'm all for the sex scenes and everything but when every problem is solved or is followed by sex? It becomes redundant.

The amount of sex began to cloud everything for me and I just could not read anymore.

However, I did appreciate how PTSD was covered, I feel like it was explained well and showcased some very serious and important elements that come with having PTSD.

Very sad that I didn't have it in me to finish it, because this is one of my favorite tropes.

Will leave you speechless
This book is heavy. It'll take you on the most intense emotional rollercoaster possible, but it's well worth it. Clark isn't a pretty love story, it is realistic depiction of PTSD, not at all sugar coated. The good times, the bad times, and the ugly times are all there and I feel that is important to read if a loved one is suffering from PTSD to understand their everyday struggles and help them see they are not alone. But it can be triggering, so please be prepared that it really is an intense story.
