What was life like in the Middle Ages? Is it true that everyone was middle-aged? (short answer, No). In this social history of the Middle Ages, written in a witty and engaging way by an eminent scholar and illustrated with photographs, you will learn about everything from medieval farm animals, to what people ate, to marriage and divorce, to how churches and castles were built, to the origin of Santa Claus, to the life of a teenager back then. Find out what aspects of the Middle Ages still affect us today. And there won't be a quiz on Monday!
It's an interesting look at life in the middle ages, written in a humorous way. Something I've personally not seen before is the point of view of what it was like to be a teenager in this society. I recommend this book to students young and old, as well as teachers. Would be a good addition to town libraries.
