Last year, he came into my coffeeshop right before closing, just stopping through while he traveled. He stayed, and we talked, danced, and shared a kiss before he had to go.
I never thought I’d see him again.
Now, he’s back, and he wants more than an hour. He wants all the time I’ll give him…preferably forever, because apparently, I stole his heart last year, too.
-no cheating -no ow/om drama -dual virgins ❤️ -mild steam late in the story (after 80%) -safe no others after meeting even during a one year separation -no violence -ok epilogue 10 years later
4.5/5 stars This was a sweet instalove but one year later get together story. Cliff stops at Alissa’s coffee shop one Christmas Eve on his way to his parents house. There is an instant connection between them. They talk, share some food, dance, and share a beautiful first kiss before he has to leave. Alissa thinks of him often, especially with Christmas Eve coming up. She works that day again and right before closing Cliff comes in. He too had been thinking of her all year long. But being a lawyer in the middle of a big murder case he had been so busy he did not have time to travel to see her. But now he is moving to Michigan from Ohio, he will be near her and wants to pursue a relationship with Alissa. He asks her to join him at his lake house for the holidays. She accepts and tells his she will meet him there. On the drive up they talk on the phone and get to know one another a little better. Once she arrives he is so happy she is there. That first night they sleep in their own rooms, he does not want to pressure her. When they finally do have their first time it is sweet, dual virgins. He is so thoughtful about her needs and wants. I love yous, a proposal and wanting her to move into the house he bought in town. Super cute epilogue ten years later with her son coming in says the same lines his dad did all those years ago. Alissa has a surprise for both of them on Christmas, a new baby is on the way.
