The stories in this book are reports of actual sightings and encounters by people who were, before these experience, relative strangers to the Sasquatch. One select group of Bigfoot researcher’s actually conducted an organized exploration deep into the Rocky Mountains seeking proof as to whether or not the Bigfoot hibernate. This subject has been highly controversial among Sasquatch researchers, and this particular study from this team of volunteers has reached a conclusion regarding the rather large group of Sasquatch that they selected for their study. One of the stories selected for this book is from an Oregon beachcomber who is challenged by a Sasquatch for possession of a rare Japanese glass float. You’ll read about the couple, who against their realtor’s wishes, sold their home because the Sasquatch family was included in the deal. We have included a wide variety of Bigfoot stores that came with credible evidence, and we hope you enjoy them as much as we did.
This was another wonderful entry in author Gary Swanson's Sasquatch series. He shares some additional tales, many of cohabitation. Several witnesses have rural property that includes Sasquatch who regularly are sighted on the land. Many take great care to ensure their privacy. One of my favorites was the story "Home for Sale, Sasquatch Included." This is a more gentle side of the Bigfoot, with a couple exceptions. Another great collection of stories and I look forward to the next set of tales. Be sure to follow the author, he has a number of great books about Sasquatch and Native American lore.
This isn't a trumped up "horrors of sasquatch" book. In fact, there are no modern stories of sasquatch attacking humans. It seems that the people in this book feel very protective of the sasquatch and of their remote areas and don't want hordes of humans hunting their "friends".
I enjoyed this book a lot.
The only story I took umbrage with were two people who imagined themselves to he "researchers", and concluded that, when they found what looked like possible warm nests in pits filled with pine needles, that this somehow meant that they were sasquatch nests, and that the presence of such nests "proved" that sasquatches hibernate!
What a massive leap of logic! They had zero direct observation that these holes were used by the sasquatch for sleeping and absolutely zero reason that if they did, it meant they had to be using these pine needle "beds" to hibernate.
Why include such crap? Just say what you saw and didn't see and be done with it.
Non-scientists really have no idea what it takes to arrive at a conclusion like that.
This one story really ate into the credibility of those "witnesses".
I also wonder how many people feel that they have to add a sighting that they didn't really have... it's easy to embellish until you almost believe a story yourself.
But that said, I find myself thinking these people may be right. If 1/4 of the stories are true, that's pretty interesting reading!
I like reading the short stories compared to one long book. The stories are told in a way that it seems you are in a conversation with the story tellers. This books contents are of such that any age reader could enjoy it and not be grossed out. Again, a very good read.
Lots of great stories. Haven't read a lot of sasquatch books. I usually just listen to stories on YouTube. More and more stories are coming out. How can so many be living in an alternative reality according to people who listen - yeah, I'm sure the boo hooers do - and continue the cover up? Just asking. . .
Quaint stories - Fun Read - Bad Use of Punctuation
These stories are quaint but I'm skeptical that they were written by different people. A unique misuse of the semi-colon appears in almost all of the stories and several stories include the word "behemoth" to describe trees, boulders, or Sasquatch: how many people do you know use that word? Anyway, it was a fun read.
Original encounters that I have not read before. The information is well written ,believable and presented in a way that made it difficult to put the book down.
What a good book. I love to hear everyone's encounter with Bigfoot. Some of the stories can even show Bigfoot in a new light. I guess I'm following a new author.
