“I wasn’t born a lucky person, I’m just too strong.”
On his way home late in the evening, Xiao Li found a letter asking for help and inexplicably came to an unknown place. He had to finish the task given before he could succeed in returning to reality. In the legendary haunted school, Xiao Li looked at his companions’ task of ‘survive until dawn’ and then looked at the tasks displayed in his book:

If you're into horror instance solving, this is for you. I say horror because there are a lot of ghosts involved but because of the MC, it always turned into a comedic situation. If you want a novel with horror instances where the ghosts were bullied by the eccentric yet clever MC and him befriending ghosts and adopting them as his family, you'll definitely loved this. The MC is not good in interacting with people but he is absolutely good at handling ghosts. But if you're looking for a shower of dog food, you might find this a bit lacking (as the relationship of the MC and ML really developed at the latter part of the novel, so as the dog food). Most of the time, you can't feel the ML's presence in the instance despite being with the MC but that was because he was letting the MC do his shenanigans with the ghosts and gathering the clues to solve the instance. I actually loved that part of the ML. He was not getting in the way of the MC's fun. He was just there to assist the MC. The arcs were also good. There were a lot of plot twists in every instances and I always looked forward on how the MC would use his cleverness to clear the instances.
I agree why there are a lot of good reviews here but I can also understand why there are people who don't like this. All in all, this novel is a decent read and so easy to get into. I suggest that if you're hesitating, just give this novel a try first. You might like it.
This was a very creative novel. Each instance is solved a bit magically in my opinion, but they're so rich and interesting to read that I don't really mind as much as I usually would.
I love how all the characters and ghosts come together in the end to defend reality - it really ties everything together (though like the solution to the instances, it was resolved a bit too easily based merely on how awesome Sherlock is). The one thing the novel never resolved, which I really wish it would, is the relationship between Sherlock and his father. I really feel the father could have had a bit of a redemption arc, but that never happened. I also felt a bit sad for the step brother who wanted to get closer to Sherlock, but was always repelled until he could only become' a black fan.
I don't particularly like the relationship between Sherlock and the other main character in this book - it's very obsessive and doesn't seem healthy. However, comments on the translation site made a really good point about how some people have different need in a relationship. If both parties know about and agree to the unhealthy parts of their relationship, it's not really unhealthy for them. A mutually consented kink is safe, a one-sided kink can often be a crime. Also, I personally thought it was badass how Sherlock didn't really need his partner to save the day. He's like a cat - independent and prickly. Maybe that's why he loves them so much.
I really hated Sherlock's apathy in the beginning, but I came around to him by the end. He's just apathetic because he's afraid to invest too much of himself into anything, because doing that leaves him open to getting hurt or disappointed. He must also have a very thrill-seeking personality, where it takes a lot to get him excited.
In the end, this was a sweet story about an apathetic thrill-seeker who ends up finding the perfect, obsessive mate he can feel safe opening himself up to. There are definitely plot holes and imperfections in the story and the translation, but it was a great piece of entertainment.
This is an infinite flow horror themed novel. While reading this, I realized that I already started this one before but for some reason/s did not persevered till the end or maybe it wasn't completely translated at that time. I'll never know.😅
Anyway, we have our MC, Xiao Li, or what he will be more known as Sherlock, Moriarty or Hercule. Contrary to the title, I do believe that Xiao Li is a very lucky guy. Things seems to be going his way, ALL THE TIME. But I do know that people/ghosts/gods that tries to harm him will be unlucky.😂
In this world, there are horror instances/world where reincarnators are randomly transported in. Reincarnators are given tasks and a time limit for every instance/world. Usually there are ghosts and meddling gods that endangers every reincarnators. Our MC, Xiao Li, is also a reincarnator with a few code names. Because our MC somehow enjoys being in instances instead of facing his problematic family situation, he tackles the tasks in a weird way.
Xiao Li went through a lot of instances/worlds and collected a lot of ghosts along the way that eventually helped him on the succeeding tasks.
The world building and plot of this book is quite impressive. It was the romance that lowered my rating for this book. The ML has a lot of issues that are somehow red flags for me. I know that he is a different species and things might be different in his 'culture' but I can't accept it. Sorry not sorry.✌️
Overall an amazing read. It took me about 4 days to finish this. Worth it.👍❤️
Ceritanya menarik banget..cerita tiap instancenya pendek jadi nggak ngebosenin. Harusnya ini cerita horor dengan banyak karakter hantu yg creepy..tapi karena MC luar biasa OP dan pola pikirnya out of the box banget, dimana para reincarnator pada ketakutan ngelawan hantu eh si MC malah semangat banget pengen "berteman" sama para hantu. Tanpa disadari malah MC cenderung "ngebully" hantu, sampai MC jadi terkenal dikalangan para hantu.
I like this book. Though, it’s quite unique in its own way.
First I was a bit skeptical, especially, after all those bad reviews, but the book is actually good. Yes, there are some not-very-healthy relationship points. Yes, our ML is not the best in the world and not an angel. But nothing too much, nothing big. Just a big eccentric, I would say.
I liked a humor part and story arcs. They were interesting and funny. ML was a cute addition to everything.
Also, I want to pay your attention that ML never did anything bad to our MC. And he cared as much as he could, he was just a bit too direct and honest at times. But just a speaking, nothing criminal, as he didn’t want MC to be unhappy.
I noted some strange points in the plot, that were strange to me. But not sure if those can be counted as plot holes. Even if yes, it’s still okay.
Story is slow paced, slow burn. Good amount of emotions. Sub characters are not being a nuisance and also lovable.
Extras are must read, to have a finishing touch to the story.
This was a fun novel. The instances are technically horror, but Xiao Li's logic doesn't work quite right compared to normal humans, so his ways of solving things are more hilarious than not. The friend-slash-servants he amasses among the ghosts he defeats are great. I was sad that the cat basically disappeared once jealous boyfriend became official. (Jealous of a cat, really???) The ending kind of came out of nowhere without much lead-up. But it was a good overall read.
Love this book so much, it has beenlong since I've read it but i still remember a little plot about this book. The mc is totally op, he's strong, like VERY strong. There's a little bit of drama, it got me a little confused but later on i was kind of understand it maybe? The supposedly horror situation is always turned upside down by the mc and make it seems comedic. For me who wasn't a big fan of heavy drama, this book is one of the best book I've read. 10/10 recommended for those who are a fan of books with little drama

The level of shenanigans was very high, and watching everyone's reactions to Xiao Li's objectively bonkers behavior was hilarious. The instance worlds were cool, and I liked seeing how Xiao Li solved (or broke) them. On the other hand, the relationship wasn't really developed, and a lot of the plotty stuff at the end felt tacked on and also depended on conversations and plans that Xiao Li had offscreen. Overall, a fun story.
