Dr. Rebecca Sharp’s Revolution is a hot and angsty enemies-to-lovers romance written in K. Bromberg’s Driven World.

No tits in the pits!
You can grab my pole, Kacey!
If Kacey Snyder was a lady, she’d be at home!

I’d heard it all before—all the ways I didn’t belong—and it never stopped me. Until a well-deserved punch to a fellow driver banned me from NASCAR for the season. Now, my only chance to drive is at the Indianapolis 500—the most prestigious race in the country.
And I’m the only woman competing.

Unfortunately, my contract didn’t mention the suffocating publicity nor the abrasive mechanic building the car.

Garret Gallagher guards many secrets behind his callous attitude—how much he dislikes me isn’t one of them.
That’s fine with me. I can’t stand him either.
Especially the way his Irish brogue makes me melt over words that chill me to the bone.

In my world, nothing matters except power and speed and proving myself.
Until him. Until us.
As obstacles unfold and secrets unravel, suddenly I’m fighting for more than the finish line.

They say revolutions begin with a single spark.
One driver on the track. One desire that can’t be stopped.
But in a revolution driven by love,
what if he was the only prize worth winning?

Rebecca Sharp always loved a good love story. Let's face it, when you include a romance novel on your 8th grade summer reading list just to see if the teacher would notice (she didn't!), she was bound to give writing one of her own a go. There's really no corner of romance that she doesn't (or wouldn't) enjoy writing, except maybe aliens, much to her husband's dismay, so her large catalog features a little something for everyone. However, her love of shows like NCIS and Criminal Minds makes her favorite stories to write the ones with some kind of suspense and crime solving.

When she's not writing, she's at her office treating patients, and somewhere between those two things, you'll find her wandering the globe with her husband always searching for their next adventure.

Man, can I choose books that are writing strong women characters or what?! We can do anything and we won't step down to the challenge.

Dr Rebecca Sharp is a New to me author, but I had to give her a shot after seeing she was going to write in Kristy Bromberg's Driven world. And she BROUGHT it! She gave us Kasey Snyder. A woman that has racing in her blood. She is a driver first, but the world sees her as a woman driver. She wants to overcome the stigma and just race. NASCAR is for drivers. Not just men. Just people who can drive and drive well. And she is setting out to prove just that.

The hypocrisy of this world was more flammable than race gas. And I wanted nothing more than to set it ablaze.

But her dreams are almost ripped right out from under her after a confrontation where she 100% stands up for herself. And I have to say, I thought she was pretty badass from that point on. She couldn't give up now. After receiving an unexpected phone call, her luck just may change!

Enter Renner Voigt. He is the man that makes the call asking for Kacey to come meet with him and see about racing his car. This could be her second chance to get what she wants and to prove herself. But with good comes some bad, and well, lets just say again, Kacey is one bad ass woman that can do anything if she sets her mind to it. But will Voigt's mechanic, Garret Gallagher approve of this driver?

From then on, we get a story told in Kacey and Garret's POV. Garret is a burly, maybe a little cold, Irish mechanic. He has a quiet and rough demeanor that puts many people off. He has a past that he's hiding from Kacey. But he isn't here for the accolades. He has a purpose. He's committed to something else. Someone else. A little girl named Claire. He made a name for himself in the racing world years ago, but now doesn't wanted to be associated with it. He wants what he came for and then wants out. He is just doing it for Claire and that cutie stole the show a few times in the story. I loved those parts of the book and to see a man that is rough on the outside turn to goo in the inside for someone that is his life? Plus, when Claire interacts with Kacey and we get to see them living their dreams together? ahhhh. SWOONFEST!!! Kacey and her words may have even brought tears to my eyes.

"It's okay to feel scared. That's how you know you're being brave-because you're still doing it; you're still fighting for what you want. And that's how I know you're the bravest of us all."

I really enjoyed Revolution and learning a bit more about the racing world and about being a woman driver and how they are seen and how they have to fight that much harder for a place in that world. It's all about breaking barriers and honestly fighting their way into the ranks. I also liked the way Dr Sharp incorporated the racing language into her writing style within the story. I loved Kacey's and Garret's explosive relationship and I loved their understanding and support of one another. It just made the story that much better.
I loved the plot and the pacing. Everything just flowed so well. I didn't feel like I was missing anything when it came to the characters and who they were. I liked how they grew and began to understand each other's place within each other's lives. I really liked seeing Garret give in and grow. I liked how the women in his life put him in his place and didn't give up on him. There was a continuous message of woman empowerment throughout and that was evident and done so well. Even when Kacey had to give up parts of herself and ask for help, it wasn't out of weakness, but out of protection and out of understanding. I enjoyed the characters and some side characters that apparently also have more stories within Dr Rebecca Sharp's other worlds. Guess I may be checking those out soon.

If you're looking for some hot fueled loving in the racing world with some pretty amazing characters written well, you've happened on the right story. It's smart. It's entertaining. And it brought me a bit of joy and happiness at seeing a strong woman role model.
4 + stars rounded up.

Sharp never ceases to amaze me with her magnificent, emotional reads that not only take you to another place and time but that out you right there within the pages!

With each novel of hers that I read I think “my gosh this is it this is her best novel yet”, then she goes and blows my mind all over again! Revolution is exactly as it’s title suggests! It’s about a woman saying “no more, I am where I belong, I AM ENOUGH!”

Kacey and Garrett’s story is more than about their journey to love! It’s about never giving up, it’s about the place “where the rubber meets the road!” This book is all about taking the doubts we all hold and saying not today! I could continue to sing this story praises but it’s one you have to discover for yourself! Whether your new to Sharp or even the Driven world that is ok just don’t skip out and miss the more transforming story of 2020!

Who doesn't want a chance with more Colton FREAKIN DONOVAN?!??!?! You can always sign me up for some more of that! LOL.
Okay.. back to the review! This book was awesome. I cant wait to see how the Driven world plays out. Especially with these new characters. I wanted more from them as soon as the book ended. Shes sassy and out to prove herself. He's grumpy and had a rough go in life. That makes for some EXPLOSIVE chemistry. And let me just say this... I may never look at a tool set the same way again. LAWD HAVE MERCY!!!!! SOOOOOOO HOT! This book was amazing and definitely coincides with Driven. You can understand whats happening in the racing world and become even more enamored with it. First time reading Rebecca and I hope its NOT THE LAST!

If you know me you know that I love NASCAR like it's my dream to go to a race. Jeff Gordan is my favorite racer even though he's retired now. So this book was right up my alley. Kacey is at the top of her game. The only female Nascar Driver out on the track. She has to work hard to show them all that she belongs there. She has a strong head on her shoulders and knows what she wants. THE WIN!!! However not everyone thinks she should be there and when she and another racer get into it well it's her that takes the hit. Now she has an opportunity to race again. And shes about to butt heads with the head mechanic. G has his own set of issues. Not wanting to come back to the sport that destroyed everything. But now he's back and not only that but the driver a women who rubs him the wrong way in every way. These two have to not only navigate the media, life, lust, the track, but also the impossible their hearts. I loved this story from beginning to end. I won't lie and say I didn't cry at one point because who wouldn't. Make sure to read this amazing new story by Dr. Rebecca Sharp in the new The Driven World by K. Boomberg.

US / WW

Kacey's been told since day one that she doesn't belong in this male dominated world of racing. Be it NASCAR where she currently races, or Indy where she'll end up, she has to work harder, race faster than all the men just to prove herself. But when one explosive move gets her suspended, and lands on an Indy team, will she keep racing, even when the gorgeous Irish mechanic working on her car makes it known from first meeting that she shouldn't be there?

Garret "G" Gallagher is a broken man. He has solely taken on the blame for his brother's actions. Now he's the only one caring for his niece, and he makes sure not to allow anyone too close to either of them. Until one spitfire of a woman races her way past his defenses and into his and his niece's hearts. Now the only question is, will he allow her to stay there, or will he push her away when one little bump appears on their path?

I loved this entry into K. Bromberg's Driven World. Two equally damaged people finding love with each other? Yeah that's one my jams, and Dr. Sharp did this trope right because Kacey and Garret's story is emotionally complex, sexy, and the world she spun off the original Driven World is fascinating. I really hope she plans on writing more in this world.

I was so excited to be reading a book where the MFC is a racing driver.

🚫 In no capacity I support men and women competing against each other in the same sport because clearly men are physically superior to women. 💪
Except racing. Why? Well because women are just as resilient as men if not more and they are equally smart. 🧠 Yes you have to be in top shape to be a racing driver but in no context are drivers qualified according to their physical attributes but rather according to their endurance and as previously mentioned resilience and intelligence.

That said ☝️, I expected a competitive, blood pumping, adrenaline induced, exhilarating ride but the book, the plot, and the story viciously crashed into a solid wall of concrete or at least that is how I felt. 🤕 🧱

The author tackled the issues of misogyny, sexism and favoritism yes. But instead of presenting us with a calm MFC with a balanced head over her shoulders, she was rather a spitfire about to explode thus rendering her guilty of hormonal outrage. 🙂‍↔️🤦‍♀️

The MCs fell in lust at first sight 🙄. They fought it because he blames himself for his brother's suicide years ago and pulls out the victim card I shall not be happy, I deserve not to be happy and she, well, she actually didn't mind immediately jumping him as soon as she met him. (An MFC straight out of my nightmares).

The author spends the whole book building up for the ultimate race where the MFC is supposed to kick ass and show everyone what she is capable of, and yes we do get that race but only in the epilogue. THE EPILOGUE!!!!!!! Mind you. 🤦‍♀️

I am disappointed and rather resigned to the fact that most female authors, if not all, hastily jump on the I am Jane, I can do no wrong, and I can do anything a man can do train in a failed attempt to show their support as feminists YET they have no idea what they are writing about and what these roles entitle.

Needless to say, Rebecca Sharp stick to what you know and leave big topics to the big ballers.

Consuming. Addictive. Heart pounding. Heart Stopping. Just a few words to describe Revolution. I have been in this wonderous state of bliss since I finished this book. Revolutions is my favorite book of 2020.

Sharp beautifully crafted her characters. I instantaneously fell in love with Garret and Kacey. The tumultuous way that their story began resonated itself into the very depths of my heart.

Sharp went beyond the top of her game with her writing. She made this story perfect.

If you have read the Driven Series by K. Bromberg you're going to want to add this to your TBR shelf, and if you haven't this is a great introduction into the world. Dr. Rebecca Sharp takes us on a ride that is filled with determination, tragedy, courage, roadblocks, but most of all passion.

Kasey Snyder is used to not being taken seriously; as a woman in a male dominated sport things haven never been easy for her, but after one race everything goes into the crapper and she's suspended from NASCAR for the season. But you know the saying, things happen for a reason....well Kasey gets her shot at being the only female driver at the Indy 500 this year, so maybe just maybe things will change for her.

Incredible story of determination, resilience, and striving to be the very best. Kacey is fierce and once you start reading this story it will be hard for you to put it down. You won’t want to stop to eat or even sleep needing to know what happens and if she finally gets what she so rightfully deserves. When Garret enters the picture things get even more interesting. Whatever you do, don’t miss out on this one. It is one of the author’s best books to date!!!

Hands down, my favorite Rebecca Sharp book to date. Sharp has such a way of writing strong, independent female characters and Kacey is no exception. She is a take charge, don’t need no man, kind of woman. Garrett is as alpha as they come along and getting to experience him fall for Kacey is amazing. Their love story is so beautiful and it will hit you right in the feels. Revolution was an amazing addition to the Driven world. Along with being one of the best female nascar books I’ve ever read

I have read several of Dr Rebecca Sharp’s books now and I have a new favorite. Kacey and Garret’s story had everything I love about her writing, especially an amazingly strong heroine. Kacey obviously went through a lot to get to where she is as a racecar driver who happens to be female. I won’t go into the details but it’s a theme that’s highly present and wonderfully addressed throughout the story. I learned a lot about racing as well which perfectly feeds my recent obsession with racing of any kind (thank you Formula 1 and Netflix for that) And then there is Garret. The grumpy yet sexy Irish hero that you just know has a heart of gold. He starts off very cold towards Kacey but once we get into his POV we see more layers to him. Their slow burn attraction and sexual tension intensifies to smoldering as the story progresses. Garret’s soft side shines when we meet his niece Claire. She is his reason for returning to a world he ran from after his brother died. She is fighting leukemia but her drive and optimism steals the show. ( I did wish for a little more at the end with regards to her but maybe we will get another book someday)

And I can’t forget to mention how happy I was to see Colton and Rylee. They don’t really come into the storyline until we get to Indie in the end but it was great to see them. I’m looking forward to reading more in the new Driven World

It was very interesting book from the world of car racing! I loved the theme of a woman breaking down barriers and showing men there is no such a thing as "men's sport". Nice written romance plot as well, with lot's of steamy moments and quite some drama.

Four stars!

REVOLUTION, by Dr. Rebecca Sharp, is the story of Kacey Snyder, a mechanical engineer from a small town in Pennsylvania, who is pursuing her dream of becoming a champion NASCAR driver. "There is no place for a woman in a man's sport," is what she has heard over and over, but she's not one to cave to misogyny. When a literal run-in with a competing driver, and the aftermath of their confrontation, is caught on camera, she is forced into a year's suspension from the track. Her father, her biggest fan, lets her know that she still belongs on that track. It isn't too long before she gets a call from Renner Voigt, race car designer and team owner, asking her to race for him, but it's not a NASCAR race he offers, it's an INDY car at the Indianapolis 500. Again, she asks herself, does she belong there?
Garrett Gallagher, engine god and master mechanic, is a surly Irishman who seethes when he first meets Kacey. His first words to her were, "Ye don't belong here." Again? Another person doubts her? Garret's mind is in a bad place. He's faced family tragedies and they've left him with the belief that he is somehow responsible for the heartache. Single handedly, he's trying to "set things right." His only bright spot is his late brother, Danny's, daughter, Claire. She's in the hospital, fighting for her life, and Garrett's place is with her because, in his eyes, he owes Danny. He is willing to give up his own happiness for her. His feelings toward Kacey are starting to change as he realizes what a dynamo she is on the track and how well she handles the car. He begins to doubt the opinion he had of her, just from reading the newspaper accounts of her exploits at Daytona that got her suspended for the season. He's a hypocrite, given what's been written about him. The layers peel back on both of them as they find themselves in close quarters, and their true feelings start to surface, but neither one knows what to do about it. The subtitle of this book should be RESTRAINT. It is the word, the exact word, that reveals the heart of the story. Too much restraint holds you back from experience, but too little can cause your world to spin out of control. When restraint is applied just right, happiness results. After all the restraint comes the revolution. Revolution is not letting the things you didn't do, define your life. It's making sure that the things you do, show who you really are. Ms. Sharp chooses her words wisely and uses them skillfully to create a story that is fraught with emotion, dignity and desire. Most of all, it's a story of having hope and finding your dreams!

This was such an inspirational book. I fell in love with the story line, the characters, and the heat! Garrett and Kacey have such a different but similar lesson to learn in life and their story is explosive. Revolutionary, some might say. There's only one thing left to say... I need more!

Revolution by Rebecca Sharp blew my mind. Completely. It was a revolutionary story for real. The concept. The characters. The writing. The emotions. Perfection in every sense. I am still buzzing and reeling and so much pumped!

Revolution is the love story of two stubborn, broken and vulnerable hearts set in background of racing world. Kacey Snyder is determined to show everyone that being woman doesn't have anything to do with being an expert race car driver. She has to make the world look beyond the very public altercation she had with another arrogant and famous male driver. And Renner Vogt is willing to give her a second chance. But his mechanic Garrett Gallagher seems to hate Kacey. What secrets is he hiding? Why did he come back to racing world after almost a decade and after the big scandal slandering his family forever?

The author balanced heat and feels so amazingly in this story. The character development was exceptional. I could feel Kacey's hesitation, fears, sense of inadequacy and desperation right in my heart. I am so proud of this girl. She is so brave and fierce. She didn't let anything keep her away from her dreams. She is so selfless and loving. She loves unconditionally and she is ready to sacrifice anything for her love. Well Garrett aka G was right there competing against her in department of sacrifice. My heart is breaking for this gorgeous Irish man. He is carrying the impossible weight of guilt and regret and he isn't even at fault! He has the biggest heart ever. He takes care of his family at any cost. He wanted to run away from racing world as it took away from everything from him. But his feelings for Kacey sucked him in and that was too beautiful Also when he gives in to his desire, that's something goosebump inducing. He can be this sexy, dirty, possessive and filthy mechanic! Seriously the hotness of their chemistry was too much! It's going to burn your kindle for sure. This story had the full range of emotions those kept me hooked. Angsty. Heartaching. Inspiring. My heart is so full of them! It was like one of those movies where you keep on cheering for people to achieve impossible dreams and when they do, you have this teary eyed and emotionally overwhelmed. Oh also you get to meet Colton Donovan...as this story is from Driven world.

Revolution by Rebecca Sharp was a treat for my romantic soul. It was one hundred percent emotional rollercoaster! Love. Hope. Drama. Passion. All wrapped up nicely in brilliant writing of Rebecca Sharp. One of my top 2020 read!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A revolutionary Five Star rating for ‘Revolution’ by Dr. Rebecca Sharp!

‘Revolution’ takes place in the ‘Driven World’ series, by K. Bromberg.

After female race car driver, Kacey Snyder “Ace”, is suspended from NASCAR, it appears she has lost the chance at proving to the racing world that she is a great race car driver...not just a great ‘female’ driver. It is then that Kacey is offered the unbelievable chance to race in the prestigious Indianapolis 500!

Garrett “G” is described by Kacey as a “mythical man of muscle and mystery”, whose eyes took in her soul. Unfortunately for Kacey, “G” is actually the stone cold race car mechanic she’ll have to work with if she wants a chance at winning the race. ‘G’ makes it clear that he wants nothing to do with working with Kacey from the start.

The enemies-to-lovers aspect of the story was really well written and fun to read, however there is more than just that storyline. Surrounded around the steamy, igniting attraction, is a story about a strong female character who must learn to exist and thrive in a predominantly male industry, without losing her identity as a great race car driver.

I immediately fell in love with Kacey and Garrett; there is so much more to both of them than initially meets the eye. I loved how their personalities and back stories unfolded during the course of the book, making the overall story more meaningful and relatable.

You will not be disappointed in the least! Dr. Rebecca Sharp definitely nailed it! I can’t say enough that you must read ‘Revolution’ immediately! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Another great story by this author as the story was filled with a ton of emotion and angst, hope, regret, dreams, and sacrifice. The story had amazing characters and one I had a borderline love /hate relationship with, and that one was G. One minute I loved the guy, the next I wanted to smack him with the constant turmoil he wreaked on Kasey's heart.

Casey was one of those characters that you instantly fall in love with. She was sassy and sexy and driven, and we loved her sense of humor.

G aka Garrett was a complicated character and one that had demons that he let rule his life but, you could not help but, love the man for the love and devotion that he showered on his niece Claire.

Claire we loved that little girl as she was a bright and amazing little girl and our heart went out to her. We found her to be so brave and loving and wise beyond her years.

Overall the story made you feel a lot of things as it was an emotional one and one that had been full of a lot of hotness and had a ton of chemistry. Talk about spark and fire, G and Kasey had that in spades. We loved all the ups and downs the story had as it made things interesting but, most of all, we loved that love, in this case, may have conquered all.

My partner is an avid racing car fan so I was super excited to read this story. I wasn’t disappointed as I absolutely loved this story.

Kacey is a brilliant sassy and strong character. Racing in a male dominated world is a challenge and she stepped up to the mark. Garret is another very likeable character. He’s gone through heartbreak and is doing what he does best.

Absolutely loved this story. Can’t fault it at all. Brilliant storyline. Can’t wait to read more from this author.

**I received an arc for a honest review.⁣

4 stars. Wow. Definitely what a ride. Got teary eyes so many times. Rebecca evoked such emotions out of you that you just can't help but love all of the characters. ⁣

Kacey was definitely a resilient, strong heroine. I freaking loved her so much. She being the only woman racing got looked down. But she doesn't let it her stop from reaching her drewams. Garret or G is an insanely good mechanic. He had a lot of baggage that he didn't want to let anyone in until Kacey. When they first met, they were totally attracted to each other, but their banters were everything. Those steamy scenes... WOW!!! Be prepared. Lol Claire will melt your heart away. She is such an angel. Check this one out. ⁣

Loved the cameo of Colton and Rylee. I love the Driven world so I'm excited to read more books from it. ⁣

Kasey Snyder a female racecar driver fighting to be taken serious in a male dominated industry. After loosing her temper while provoked she punched a fellow driver after his comments and actions. Suspended by NASCAR for the remainder of the season.
Luckily Kasey was picked up by Indi 500, however what she wasn't expecting was Garrett Gallagher "G" the Irish mechanic who I has a past that makes these two characters fascinating and interesting to read.
This is a beautifully written heartwarming emotional story riddled with misunderstandings heartbreaking and an addictive stubborn love story.

Revolution is another fantastic book within The Driven World. I love what Dr. Rebecca Sharp brings to the pages. This is my first book by her and I plan on going back for more. With Revolution we have Kacey and Garrett. Kacey is trying to break through the what is "the men's world" of racing. She is strong and I love she is fighting for what she wants and loves with being a racecar driver. Garrett is an amazing mechanic who has lost his passion for racing since his brothers death. Garrett is grumpy and a bit of a gruff. But as you get to know him you understand why. There is such amazing chemistry between Kacey and Garrett that you cannot help but to fall in love with them. I loved this book and that fact that is shows that women can do anything.

Kacey is a driver. She knows it in her bones, heart and soul. But, because she's the only female driver, she has to endure a lot. When push comes to shove, she shoves back and it has a damaging effect on her career. But, with a second chance, can she keep her head in the game and pedal to the floor?

Garret has been living for his brother since the incident. With his brother lost to him and his family needing him more and more, Garret has to decide whether or not he can live in the life of racing again. He's an amazing mechanic - the best. He needs the money and won't do anything to jeopordize his nieces treatments. But, when push comes to shove for him, can he decide if he'll start living for himself or continue to live for his brother?

Kacey and Garret have explosive chemistry. They are quick to judge, but know in the end they are both stubborn and need to figure out what they truly want. I really like this spin off of the Brombergs' world, Driven. It has a similar feel and emotion written in to the story.

I hope I get to see more of these types of stories.

In true Rebecca Sharp style, this story captures your attention from the very first page. The fact that it's part of K Bromberg's Driven World only adds to its allure.

There are many messages embroidered in the fabric of this novel, all of which, I believe, are sensitively addressed and probably quite typical of women's experiences in male dominated fields.

The love story that is intricately woven is explosively portrayed with many temperature raising moments as G and Kacey get to know each other.

If I'm honest though, it's that instead of hearing an 'Irish brogue' when G speaks, I hear a 'Scottish burr' and being a Scottish lass, I easily recognise the difference in the use of specific vocabulary.

Did it spoil my enjoyment of the story? Absolutely not! I just wish that I knew Scottish men that raised my temperature like G does...sigh!!!

Get ready to have your engines Revved up ,because Kacey and Garrett will make your heart race faster than any race car can.
They are one steamy pair of sexual tension and snarky comments, their chemistry is like a ticking time bomb ready to explode...and they are so alike in many ways both stubborn and strong and push eachothers buttons, provoking reactions that are sometimes unexpected.
Kacey is a woman race car driver trying to survive in this Man based sport the best way she can and Garrett is the abrasive Irishman Mechanic building the car for kacey's next big race, reluctantly going back to the sport having left it 10 years prior after a tragedy .Needless to say they have a rocky start making assumptions about one another until they get to know eachother properly and the attraction progresses.
I really enjoyed this book even though I know nothing about race cars or driving it didnt stifle my enjoyment I was very impressed by Rebecca's knowledge about the sport though and the descriptions she gave .The story also dealt with some hard hitting topics that both Kacey and Garrett were living with eventually confiding in one another and healing eachothers pain.
This book really is a Revolution, about not giving up on your dreams despite the obstacles you may face and beating the odds when they are stacked against you, either in Love or your goals in life.
I couldn't stop reading it was compelling and emotional and an amazing ride, perfectly put together by Rebecca's writing.
An outstanding edition to this series of books and I loved it.

* I received an advance reader copy in exchange for an honest review *

The hypocrisy of this world was more flammable than race gas. And I wanted nothing more than to set it ablaze.

Revolution is Dr. Rebecca Sharp’s newest addition to K. Bromberg’s Driven World. I loved the Driven series so I have been anxious to see how these other authors will do adding to this new world.

Kacey was everything one could hope for in a heroine. She was a badass woman who was independent and did not need a man to fight her battles. I like that we got to see this story with a female river and she went through hardships many women can relate to. Being one of the only women in a sport that was filled with only men is not easy to do. It was frustrating to watch her take all that abuse from not only the other racers but the fans as well.

Garret annoyed me from the moment we met him. I cannot understand how he can judge Kacey based on what the press said about her situation when he too suffered in his past by public opinion. If we never got to see his sensitive side throughout the book I do not know if I would have ever started to like him. His past has caused him to want to be as far away from racing as possible. I respected that he put his desire to provide for his family before his own needs. Not going to lie but every time Garret spoke I just imagined Jamie from Outlander speaking.

While the attraction between Garrett and Kacey was there, they did not act on it right away. There was a great buildup before anything really happened between them. When they finally got together it was hot especially with Garrett’s bedroom talk. I did enjoy reading this story. There were parts to both of their lives that we were not privy to from the beginning that kept the reader intrigued. I not only wanted to know what really happened that caused her to punch that racer, but I also wanted to know more about Garret’s past.

I like that Colton from the Driven Series was incorporated in this book. I was wondering if it was just going to be just another racing book or if all the books were going to connect somehow. While this was not one of my favorite books it was a good read.

I have found a new addiction the racing scene and where women can conquer and cause a revolution by beating the men at their own game.
Kacey wants to be seen as a driver. Not a woman driver but after an unfortunate incident it seems her racing career is over for now. Until she gets a lifeline that convinces that she shouldn't stop in pursuing her dreams.

Kacey take it with both hands and sends her racing to Charlotte with no chip on her shoulder. She is hard as they cover building a skin that can bounce off most remarks that would get most people reacting. Well until, Garrett enters the story when she runs into him on her first day. Her new boss's head mechanic and a surely fellow who tells how it is and makes it clear that she shouldn't be her. Not because she is a woman , but because he doesn't like her based one moment.

However underneath this wild surely man is a genius who needs love. His POV reveals the truth hiding behind the demeanour and a man who is broken by his past. A past that still haunts him and makes him very reluctant to open up . But Kacey makes him want to explode and let go of everything that is holding him back.

This was sweet as much it was hot and angsty. I loved the secret that played a big part of this story. It may have started off as a spark but the secret was what brought them together and convinced Kasey she could do anything she put her mind to it. It may have taken a child to show Kacey what she was missing but this was determined child and I love her connection to the story as children should be hear when they have a important and beautiful part to pay .
Sharp's story was beautiful. As much it was about the Revolution of Kacey in the racing sport it was also about family and the connection. These two were hot and heavy from the beginning because of the circumstances they were in and Sharp covered it well. It never felt we were rushed or forced to make judgement but just set back let them take you on the ride . This is my first book from Sharp and I loved the message of female empowerment and the fact that she didn't make it unbelievable. She made it plausible and loved how she based it on real events. Definitely will be reading more books from Sharp in the future.

When you see a book by Rebecca Sharp, you can’t resist to read it.

“It’s okay to feel scared. That’s how you know you're being brave-because you’re still doing it; you’re still fighting for what you want”

Kacey Snyder is an empowered woman. Fearless, strong, assertive and kind. One of the best racers but most importantly, she is a woman.
In a male dominated industry, Kacey has to fight against all odds to prove, not only to the people around her, but to herself that she has what it takes to take the world by storm and write her own story.

I adored Kacey. Her determination to not let a horrible incident destroy her dream and her constant battle against sexism, was one of the things I loved the most about her.
Rebecca portraits her female characters as fighters that even with their flaws, you still admire them and never stop cheering them on to find their HEA.

“Sometimes, winnin’-really winnin’-has nothing’ to do with what ye take home but with what ye leave behind long after yer gone”

Garrett Gallagher aka G, the grumpy Irish mechanic stole my heart from the very first time he was introduced in this fantastic story.

Wounded by the abrupt death of his brother, Garret takes a step aside from the racing industry leaving behind a bright future that could have been linked to the infamous Colton Donovan but destiny has better plans for him.
Protective, loyal, caring, intelligent, talented and honest. Garrett shows us that love just as racing, can be a risk that can give you the best of rewarding when you finally face your fears and give it a GO.

I'm still in awe by how outstanding was this story from beginning to end.
It is true that this story is part of the Driven Series Universe but, Rebecca leaves a footprinnt like no other with Kacey and Garret's story.
With a chemistry off the charts, a flawless writing, lessons that will inspire you to be better, to fight for your dreams and to become a better version of yourself no matter the obstacles, Revolution by Dr. Rebecca Sharp is without a doubt, one of my favorite reads of this year.

I definitely recommend it.

⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have to admit, I have mixed feelings about this book. I definitely struggled with my overall emotions towards the book and how to rate it. On one hand I loved the storyline, the characters and their strong personalities and being able to dive back into the Driven World. On the other, I was surprised by my inability to stay present. There were parts where I was absolutely drawn in by the characters and their hardships and the tantalizing and almost electric chemistry between Garrett and Kacey and others where I was really struggling to stay focused.

Whilst I must applaud Rebecca’s creativity and her ability to weave knowledge of cars into the storyline, there were some instances when references were made between the character’s emotions and the emotions towards cars and their love of racing that left me feeling a little lost. I’m not too sure if I am explaining this correctly, but I am not a very car savvy person so at times those references went over the top of my head. Personally, it just felt like the references were drawing my attention away from the storyline.

I really liked Garrett and the growth his character made throughout the story. Lordy, the dirty talk that man came out with. Phew. It simultaneously had me shocked and blushing at the same time.

I did like the acknowledgment of the pressures and hurdles accompanied with females competing in a male dominated sport. How Kacey only wanted to be known for her talent and performance and not her gender.

Garrett and Kacey were absolute fire together. I guess you could say they had a bit of a slow burn romance, which made the anticipation and sexual tension for when they finally gave in to their feelings that much more explosive. They challenged each other, opened each other’s eyes to self-doubts and gained new perspective on their lives, both past and future.

Overall, I really did enjoy this book. And even though it didn’t hold my attention like some of Rebecca’s other books it won’t stop me from reading her future work.
