So what to say about this (since we all know what the stories are about lol)......
I'll start with grammar mistakes. They usually fall into 1 of 3 categories for me: 1 - horrid, cannot finish 2 - tolerable 3 - lazily annoying This entire anthology jumped between 2 & 3. The latter being more prevalent. Why??? Well.....
Because as you're writing, you must be aware of the last sentence you wrote. Some were just so terrible in actually remembering who was speaking. You'd have a female speaker then saying "his" in the next line, in reference to "her" body (& vice versa).
So often I had to reread many lines with the proper grammar. As I mentioned, mistakes are not a bother when they are few. Almost every, single, story had errors like this!!!
At some point it no longer becomes writer's mistakes but laziness in writing. I don't know the author's goal for creating this anthology, but my speculation makes it feel like it was just for a "quick turnover".
I enjoyed the varied & unique plot lines; but I didn't "love" any. They all felt forgettable. Not even a brief Epilogue sequence exists in this entire set. Disappointing on that front.
Some stories were just a bit too much for me. I don't have an egg or insta-preg kink, so maybe I'd feel differently if I had it 🤷♀️
Even the "erotica" parts became bland after the 5th story or so because the same, freaking, words & descriptors were used for all!!! How unoriginal & boring it became. Yes. You can write specific erotica shorts without repeating the same words & phrases for every story!!! Look up "synonyms" for words if you're struggling lol
The sad part is.....all these negatives significantly impacts someone's feelings on chevking out an artist's or author's other work. Had more effort been visibly placed, I would have felt intrigued to look at what else I available. Even if writing is just a side hobby......I can't understand how anyone would feel confident tying their name to their work that feels like you didn't care how it turned out, so long as it was finished. When you've read thousands of books, it's easy to spot effort.
For what it's worth, don't read a lot in one sitting or too frequent; because you may get discouraged. Read a few every week or longer so you don't consistently recall seeing the same words & mistakes in every story.
Sorry if I'm overly harsh, but I see no reason to dance around my feelings. Others have pointed this out too, so hopefully a future group of shorts is better!!!
Obviously each short story centers around the same theme, the plot lines change a bit with each one, but obviously still centered around being br£d and filled up with young. There seemed to be typos in each short story, but it wasn’t enough to really detract from anything.
