Bradley “Easy” Simon is many things. One-night stand material? Absolutely. A womanizer? Sure. Heartless? Debatable.
Rumor has it that Easy has never been spotted with the same woman twice. His reputation of being the fun-loving, playboy precedes him. But an anonymous text message changes everything.
The text message Easy expected: You up? The text message he got: I’m pregnant.
i'm weak towards accidental pregnancy romances and this was just what I needed. thank you danielle allen from writing this book!!!! it was hilarious, so much fun, and super steamy! also really love easy and jamila's relationship; from just one night, to two nights, to oops we are having a baby but I still dont want to be with you lmao
I love the can't commit hero falls madly in love with their love interest and can't work without them now. easy is just like that and I loved seeing how committed he was and excited to have a baby. I JUST REALLY LOVE THE ACCIDENTAL PREGNANCY TROPE OKAAY. need more now.
The surprise pregnancy/baby trope is usually not something I like, but I loved this book.
Our main character Easy is a player who gets a text message from an unknown number saying “I’m pregnant.” Reading this from Easy’s POV was awesome because you could really see the character development in the story and how he learned to grow out of his “player” phase. Also, Easy was absolutely hilarious. He was a total fool and Jamila was such a strong heroine who wasn’t playing any of his games and I was HERE FOR IT!
I know a lot of people didn’t like how Jamila told Easy about the pregnancy but I could totally understand where she was coming from. I think Jamila handled it in a way that she thought was best and I love how even though she was apprehensive considering Easy’s past history of being a player she still gave him a chance.
Danielle Allen is truly a phenomenal author. The chemistry between the characters was so well written and I found myself laughing and grinning the entire story. One of my favorite parts of the book was the banter between the characters- it was funny and it made their connection seemed even stronger.
This was such a treat. I loved the chemistry between Easy and Jamilah. Who knew what would slow down the womanizer Easy but love knew. Enjoyed this one. Thanks for bringing his story to the forefront.
I wanted to like this story. I did like the writing style and characters. I just felt like Easy and Jamila's story was a bit empty outside of the sex. I couldn't quite by the second chance since it all felt a bit rushed and surface. I wanted to go through more of their connection, how they ended up so close.
Danielle Allen has a very enjoyable writing style so I'm always entertained reading her book. The hero is not my kind of hero (he's a womanizer) and there's an evil ex-hookup that I wasn't particularly fond of. But this was still quick and fun.
However too much was made of Easy’s approach to women. It’s not like he was out there lying. The women were consenting adults. The whole, never committed before is ridiculous because if he wasn’t ready for that before it would have been a lie. As for Jamila, her attitude was childish. Who sends an anonymous message like that and 1/ expects to be taken seriously and 2/ expects the recipient to jump on board and say, yes I always wanted a kid with a stranger. She had weeks to get used to the idea. Once Easy got to her, her constant need to tell him he was a womanizer or that she could do it on her on was again annoying. She slept with him twice without being forced so she doesn’t have any moral high ground here. As for giving him an out, he didn’t ask for one. She barely knows him so what about seeing what he is about and take it from there? They got there in the end but to me the process was unnecessary. As an aside, Easy’s friends were irritating as well, with all this judgment.
I’m convinced, Author Danielle Allen is moonlighting as a standup comedian and writing novels is the side hustle! …🤣😂 “Heartless (Heartache)” has some of the most hilarious one liners & BS savage slayer detector moments. Bradley say bye-bye to “Easy” your playah days are officially over! …assess denied, membership denounced & pcard revoked! Ms Jamila Lee slayed the beast! Bradley, Jamila & their 🎄package newest family member stole mommy & daddy’s heart. …. adorable 🥰‼️👏🏾👏🏿👏🏽
Even when Easy had his way with the ladies, he never lied about his position. Bradley was not ready for a relationship until he met Jamila. She was his kryptonite, and it was fun to watch him skittish. Additionally, It was so lovely to see him become fully committed relationship-wise to one woman. I think having best friends settled down aided in the transition. I always liked Easy; this new version was the icing.
I really enjoyed Bradley Story. However, the book was way too short. I expected a full novel but instead this was more of a short story that left plenty to be desired. However in typical Danelle fashion the sex scene were steamy and the story line was light and funny. I will forever read anything this lady writes because she’s amazing.
This was a great second chance romance journey. The story flowed so easy. No pun intended that was Bradley's nickname. It was believable from start to finish. Chemistry first, a life-changing surprise next, followed by commitment then love. I loved Jamila and adored Bradley. This was a good read.
I loved how Jamila is so independent and knows what she wants. I also liked how the surprise baby trope was done in this book as well as the second chance romance. How it didn't go too dramatic and there's a legit reason why Jamila didn't tell Bradley right away and the entire situation not falling into miscommunication.
My Easy grew up! I just fell for him a thousand times harder than before! And Jamila....yeah, she was alls kind of perfect for him! She didn't take his mess, gave as good as he did and all the while giving him what he truly wanted in life....a family. Gah, this story was everything, and it could't have been better! ❤
Man, Easy is everything! I live his vibe, but when he’s with Jamila, they are off the charts. I feel in love with them both. This book made me smile, so 5 stars are easy for me to give them!
This was a super cute book. I loved how it played out. I also loved how the friends were too real with Easy. Jamilla and East’s relationship was fun and light. This was definitely a quick light read and I loved every second.
I actually enjoyed the story. How Jamila announced her pregnancy to Bradley was juvenile but everything else about her personality I liked. Bradley seemed to be your typical guy. Community d until he hits his 30s but clueless as to love.
I like wholesome epilogues. If there's gonna be mentions of a baby then I need mention of a ring. Took away 1 star for the lack of marital mentions but it was a good book overall.
miss allen ate and left no crumbs, yet again. this had me kicking the air and giggling like a schoolgirl. I had the biggest, goofiest smile on my face & the smut was just back bending. It was everything and more.. just WOW.
Danielle is an insta read for me so I'm surprised I DNF. The writing is top knotch like always. Surprise baby tropes just irritate me, especially with how the woman acted when she found out in this book. I wanted to push through but it was a turn off.
Loved this story. Fell in love with Easy in Roman and Bianca’s story and hoped Danielle would write a story on him. As always, she delivers. Jamila was perfect for him.
This is so good! I was smiling the whole time while reading Easy and Jamila's story. It's a nice story even if it's just short. I REALLY LOVE THIS KIND OF TROPE, SUPERR! 😩❤️
