It’s an epic conclusion of the trilogy! Maia and the others work tirelessly to find and rescue Taylor from Daashu. The end up finding and rescuing Maia’s mother, Irana, as well. Before being sent to Daashu, Irana, was a member of Corvis’s inner circle. The information Maia’s mother is able to provide is a big advantage to the rebellions efforts. The Dominion is planning to engage the humans, Naledai, and ikthian deserts with biological warfare. The used Maia’s research to develop the bioweapon. The rebellion works up plans to find a live sample of a vaccine and to get the coalition the information about the bioweapon before it can be released in Earths Atmosphere. I love the strength of these characters. Taylor isn’t afraid to sacrifice herself to ensure Maia’s safety. She underwent torture and was shot to protect Maia and the others. Maia is driven to help the rebellion counteract anything the Dominion may be planning because of her research. She changes so much through the trilogy. The connection between Taylor and Maia only continues to grow and strengthen. Sorra and Odelle are finally free to be together and they are both key leaders of the rebellion efforts. I love how Odelle can rein Sorra in and get her to see and do things others can’t. Sorra loves Odelle deeply and softens to her. Rachel has seen the error of her ways and is a strong fighter in the rebellion. She deals with deepening feelings that she is developing for Elurin. I love the journey of self discover she undergoes. Elurin is the best pilot and she is head over heels for Rachel. She fights to preserve earth if only to prove her love for Rachel. I’m sadden for the story to end, but I love how the characters are left to fight another day and continue to take down the Dominion and enjoy the love of their lives.
