Tokyo (presumably): world capital of horrible misunderstandings.

Momo continues to be a chump, this time with regards to Kairi's brother Ryo. You'd think, first of all, that after dealing with Sae, she'd recognize that people aren't always what they seem behind a sweet outer shell. Also, that maybe she ought to trust Kairi's (her boyfriend's) word about his own brother, rather than that brother's slick presentation of himself.

As usual, Momo being a chump is what keeps the story going. And as much as I grump about it, it's fun in a trashy way. And no one ever actually gets raped, though the threat of it looms constantly over our naive heroine.

Story: The perfect thing about this series is that it is a potential real life situation. There is bullying from the other people at school and misunderstandings set into a high school setting. This series is absolutely perfect for someone to read when they are that age and to realize that many people can make mistakes or take something the wrong way, especially in regards to relationships. There is a quite potent love triangle between Momo, a girl that gets bullied by others, Kairi (Kiley), a flirt of a guy, and Toji, a guy that is easily blindsided. It does not help anything that there is the slightly evil character of Sae that is always trying to get in Momo's way.

Drawing Style: One of my favorite things about the art style of Miwa UEDA is that she changes up the characters. Especially Momo, she always wears different clothing and has a different style of hair that is rarely seen in anime or manga.

Characters: The characters are highly in depth and developed throughout the series. They are all multi-dimensional with underlying reasons for how they come across and serious back stories that add to the series.

Overall: This is one of my favorite series by far, exceeding all of my previous expectations and blowing me away with the quality of production.

Note: This review was completed after reading volumes 1-18.

Myslím kvůli tomu oblečení a pózám.

Momo is done with Kiley after thinking she heard him agree to meet her up in a hotel. Of course, our Peach Girl soon discovers it was a misunderstanding. Misako is just trying to get back together with Kiley's brother Ryo; our featured couple makes up. However, Ryo isn't done with Momo yet. He feeds her a story of Kiley misunderstanding him when they were younger and how he's trying to patch things up and move on. Momo falls for it. At a party, Sae sneaks in and tries to snatch Ryo up for herself (where the heck is Toji?!?) but Ryo too is a fox and knows Sae's game. After once again pitting Momo and Kiley against each other, and Momo ditching Kiley...again, Ryo locks Momo in an auditorium and gifts his signature cross necklace to her. The volume ends with Ryo holding Momo down.
Back to this crazy roller coaster! I really didn't understand why Momo after everything Kiley has done for her, would side with Ryo, a complete stranger. I'm also not digging this obsesion with Momo's virginity and because she's been with Kiley for 2 months the "clear course" is to give it up. Not a solid message for the recommended 13+ crowd.

Trigger warning for sexual assault

Momo can be such an idiot sometimes. She won't believe Kiley about his brother, but Kiley believed her with Sae. I know these are teenagers and yet I wanna shake them. Still routing for them though.

This volume contains a sexual assault scene at the end, so please be careful if that kind of writing triggers you. There is also a lot of emotional manipulation in these volumes, so please be careful.

*3.5*

Okay I feel a little bad about putting Kairi down in the last volume, but he was being a little shit to Momo, so I feel mostly justified. However, he can't compare to Ryo, who is awful, and seems to basically be a male version of Sae! Speaking of that she-devil, if she's so bored with Toji, why doesn't she just break up with him, give him the negatives and move on? Maybe Toji and Momo won't get back together, but at least he'll be free.

Good

Kileys brother is such a snake. It’s so frustrating that Momo can’t see he’s just like Sae! Get it together girl!

Kiley is doing exactly what Toji did—not believe Momo. Sae and Ryo are manipulative and it’s frustrating how they continue to get away with it.

Now there's 3 manipulators instead of just one... it's getting complicated. Besides, I could kick Momo for not believing Kiley. He stood by her since day one...

A cute story with cute art. It was a bit too teenage-drama-ish for me, but still an amusing read.
