Avery Chandler is a wanderer. That is, he is a mateless wolf who is meant to roam around the earth in search for a purpose. After finally finding his one true calling as the new Alpha's protector, he was certain he was meant to be a soldier and nothing more.
That is, until another wolf named Caleb Carmichael entered into the picture. Annoying, persistent, and a bit too reckless for his own good, Avery was certain that he will never have to deal with Caleb's presence except for the occasional brush-offs.
Oh how wrong he was . . .
A stunning follow-up to T. Lanay's first book, "All it Took was One Look", "A First Chance at Love" explores what it means for a wanderer to face their past head on, while also opening yourself to a newer and brighter future
Second book in this series and I'm hooked. Maybe its because its about werewolves or maybe it the cute romances, i dont know but i cannot seem to put this series down!
Liam and Aiden have became like a celebrity couple in the werwolf community but being the first gay alpha couple, every pack wants to understand how this works. But something else is one Caleb's mind, well more like someone else Mr Avery Guard Man. Caleb is a lot more of a daring, bubbly character in this book than the first- where he struck me as more if a gothic, keep-to-himself kind of guy. And of course theres Avery, the calm, almost silent, Wanderer guard who believes that he only lives for Aiden and without him he'd be nothing. But apparently not, it begins with the constant flirting then the first date and hey presto you have a pair of very confused, mated wolves.
The tale of Caleb and Avery had many twists and turns and leaves you confused in some places and utterly amazed in others. But who wouldn't like a story with drama romance and danger?
Re-read August 2015- Still amazingly cute and thrilling
I read it on Wattpad for the first time quite a few years ago and I've loved the series since then - this 2nd book the most. I bought it for my kindle and the nostalgia I got from reading this book again after all these years, amazing.
Yes, it has spelling mistakes. Yes, it might not be the best written book ever. I don't care. It brings me immense joy and that's what's important.
I loved Avery and Caleb. How persistent Caleb was in getting Avery to notice him and eventually love him. There could have been a bit more conversation between Avery and Aiden when he shut off the bond between them but overall loved the story! I hope Levi gets his HEA next
absolutely love the sequel. So happy that this one was about Avery and Caleb. So so glad that we got to see more of Avery’s past and why he was so stand-offish in the beginning. Overall such a good book
