Meh, not good, not bad. A bit overdramatic.

The worst of all of the epilogue.

It was lacking the sibling interaction that was great about the previous installments.

Quite a scary way to end the series 😭 I dont think I'll ever find peace with the fact that Lucy's life was hanging in balance here when the story ended with her fighting for her life, wtf. It was so sad 😭 Like I wanted to celebrate their happy ending and good god, the Bridgerton genes of popping out many children for the couple? But all that trumps the sadness I felt when the problems of delivery of the twins arose. I wish the epilogue ended with the note that Lucy lived, and not the open-ended Julia Quinn put out in here.

He’d been waiting for a love fraught with passion and drama; it hadn’t even occurred to him that true love might be something that was utterly comfortable and just plain easy.
This epilogue was far more tragedious than all of this series’s books combined.Truth to be told, I was a bit scared at the beginning for Lucy but at the end everything gets merry.
It takes a lot of courage to declare your love for your family.When have you last said “I love you” to your mother/father/sister/brother?It takes a great deal of strength to open up to our close ones.

The scariest epilogue of the bunch

Oh, man! While I appreciate seeing what it truly means to struggle to give birth during this time period, not knowing whether or not Lucy was going to make it was nailbiting, and not in a good way. I like the surprise twin baby; it warmed my heart- and we got to see how dedicated and in love Gregory is to Lucy. I didn't care for how uncertain the ending was... I mean, I KNOW she doesn't die (because of Violet's epilogue), but man... it would've been nice to KNOW and not wonder.

I did enjoy it though- except for the uncertainty of it.

You know you didn't do justice by your characters when 2/3 of the 2nd epilogue is Hyacinth writing her letter and describing the action again.
Apart from the twist/wow thing being the child birth, the story was flat.
Hyacinth implying she definitely helped Lucy was just another point of the poor writing. Though it might have been on point (eh?) with the initial characterisation of her.
I think that at this point, Julia just gave her all, and it didn't end up being good.

I enjoyed this epilogue but not as much as the others of the series. I find it very entertaining that Gregory named hsi children after his siblings.

This was a great conclusion, but as the last epilogue of the last book in the series, I had hoped for a little more.

This is the 2nd epilogue to On the Way to the Wedding. This nouvella was really depressing and takes place right after the end of the last book, but it was sweet.

Lucy just gave birth to twins and is very tired. Hyacinth came to visit and sent letters to Gareth updating him. Lucy has 9 children now, she and Gregory named their kids after their siblings and their wives, whoever was closest to them. The kids names were Katherine, Hermione, Richard, Daphne, Anthony, Benedict, and Colin. Lucy starts bleeding out, but the doctor left, so the midwife took care of it but Lucy wasn’t responding. Gregory was worried but kept saying “Lalala Lucy,” a thing their daughter would do. Katherine, their daughter, came in and Gregory acted like Lucy was asleep. They planned to name their next kid Eloise, but since they have twin daughters, they plan to name the other Francesca. Hyacinth thinks it is unfair that none of the kids are named after her. Katherine suggests they name the kids Eloise Lucy and Francesca Hyacinth. She says that Lucy is the best mom so it would be best. Gregory finds it so sweet and cries, when the doctor comes back he manages to get Lucy awake. Everyone is relieved she is awake. She then asks for all the kids to come and she tells them all that she loves them. She says she loves Gregory too. Hyacinth sends a letter to Gareth retelling events saying she loves everyone too. Lucy and Gregory don’t want any more kids but who knows what the future will hold. I am surprised they haven’t named any of the kids Violet, after Miss Bridgerton. Finally finished the series and since I didn’t care much for this couple, I am glad it is over.

the only thing i disliked was them naming the kids after all his siblings? i LOVED that they named their first katherine, that was perfect. and then richard and hermione make sense (although now that i think abt it, the fact that the original richard and hermione are married is kind of weird that the children are siblings… 🤷‍♀️ still cute). ALTHOUGH I DO LOVE THE TWINS’ NAMES. eloise lucy 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️ and francesca hyacinth 😭❤️😭❤️ i just know she would be the fiercest just like her namesakes. same for the other twin.

Part of me wish that lucy died. I know I know not a good way to think of things but I LOVE tragic ending and with 9 children? Gregory would be forced to be violet and I think there’s something remarkable in that. But oh well she lived and obviously it’s still very sweet.

This is not one of the strongest of the 2nd Epilogues, and honestly I don't understand why Gregory and Lucy have named all of their kids after their siblings?

I did really like how the series ends with the last words from Hyacinth, considering that she was the youngest of the Bridgerton siblings.

A true epilogue! I appreciated the later shadowing of a couple original to the book. Some of the other 2nd Epilogues in this series left a bit to be desired.

I recommend for those who already read On the Way to the Wedding.

As with most of the series, I was able to listen to a second epilogue at the end of this audiobook. I have to admit to being brought to tears during this part of the book, and I find that the story was enhanced because of it. I do love getting little updates and sneak peeks into the lives of the characters after the initial story is over.
